Pre op weight loss confusion
New&Improved replied to avillemure93's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah it's pretty stupid like most people who go for wls obviously have problems losing weight why else would they be obese??? Making them go through months of dieting and then being told no you can't lose weight but yoyo for months which will cause more harm than good... My surgeon told me every kg I lose before surgery will make his job easier and my recovery easier but lucky in Australia Its up to the surgeon not the insurance they just pay for it; unless you want the govt to pay...then I think they have a few rules.. But not like you guys In the USA..with insurance companies acting like God! -

Pre op weight loss confusion
New&Improved replied to avillemure93's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah they should just use the weight you started at. Its weird and unfair to punish people for trying to make changes preop.. -
Yeah share the meal with your hubby

Pain from the holes in your belly where they put big metal things inside to do the surgery of course it will be sore and I had a drain bottle for 3 days with a tube going inside my belly to help with fluid that was most sore trying to sleep or get comfortable but once they removed the drain and I had the first shower it was BLISS! You only feel pain in your actual new stomach if you eat spicy food or try to eat too much too soon; you'll learn over time how your be stomach responds to different things..

Everyone is different. I was only eating max 500kcal for the first 2 months..

Too not lose weight you've got to be eating to many carbs. Calories. Sodium. Sugar. So many foods or meals you can buy that say they are healthy actually have too many carbs and too much salt. Every time I go shopping I have to read the label on absolutely everything and 90% of items I look at are not good enough for weight loss.. You need to be eating clean protein before anything else.. Low carb. If you're hungry you'll be snacking all day everyday and the calories will add up..

Is this a stall?
New&Improved replied to BigLoser2020's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Too much carbs and too many calories. I'm 3 months out and I get max 700cal and 30g carbs a day. Dietitians don't seem to understand bariatric surgery guidelines. -
