    Low carb diet suggestion

That was my motto no carbs or very low I think for the first 2 months before surgery my carbs was always under 10g a day but I was on shakes only pretty much and I lost 66lbs even before surgery. It literally melted off me because of no carbs. No sugar. No fat at all. As above if you want to take advantage of the #honeymoon# period the best way Is to go hard from day 1 but if you're happy with moderate weight loss then you decide your plan of action.... It is your body
  3. Hey guys had a very slow week only lost 2.2lbs. But I am getting very close to the end of my weight loss journey. I started my diet before surgery; Today is 5 months and 1 week from start of my diet and 3 months 1 week since RNY surgery. Highest weight was 322lbs. Surgery weight was 257lbs Current weight 185.8lbs I've actually surpassed my dietitians goal but I'm not totally happy yet still got some stubborn fat on my lower stomach to lose so I'm going to try get to 180lbs I think 😀 I really need to start working out I think. BMI down from 43.6 to 25.1 so very close to healthy lol THANKS everyone for your support. MIKEY
  4. Mini bypass can also cause reflux issues.. RNY is the best option

    Weight loss Timetable/Stall

Nobody loses the exact same amount consistently for a year.. No way.. The first few months you will lost the most maybe 6 months if you have a Lot to lose but then it will slow right down even possible to go thru multiple stalls over a year. Also a month and a half is 6 weeks and a year is 52 so it would be 28 x 8.66.
  6. Yep I'm 3.5 months out and finally starting to try new foods it is nice to have the variety but other days I'm too busy so shakes are still a part of my life i find if I get any craving to eat or drink high protein low carb. if I decide to take In extra carbs one day it will make me hungrier than normal..

Can I eat whole wheat bread

Bread should be the last thing on your mind. I haven't even bought bread in nearly 6 months at most I'll have a low carb wrap with tuna

    Pre op Appointment

1hr waiting. 1hr chat that's it. Had surgery 3 months later.
  13. Surgery alone does not equal weight loss. You have to be mentally spiritually ready for this surgery!!!
  14. Whey is the highest protein % per serve. High quality is considered 75%+ protein content otherwise you're just eating low quality. And as you're healing you need high quality.

    Follow logic add healthy calories
  16. Isn't surgery covered by insurance? And my RNY was the best choice ever. I'm healthier now than I've been in 20yrs

    Forced to do Bypass

Yeah they don't actually chop or remove any intestines they bypass some of it. So the channel from your stomach to your lower intestines is different that's all...
  22. Yeah here in Australia they don't really do the DS because most people do well with VSG or RNY unless maybe extreme obese.. I chose RNY and I've already lost 136lbs so far
