    Do you miss food?

I'm sick of people putting their noses in your business... Anyway to answer your questions after surgery for months I didn't even crave anything literally I was on shakes for months high protein low carbs and that was it and I never felt like eating until recently but even now at 6.5 months post op some days I still don't eat much at all nor miss food but I will say my intake volume has gone up so eating is more enjoyable but still way less volume than before... I had the bypass and it has completely changed my metabolism now it's like I can't gain weight and have lost over 150lbs in 8 months since I began my pre-op.

    Unsupportive Boyfriend

I'm very sorry you have a man like that I feel he's actually getting worried you're going to actually get confidence in yourself. I also had the bypass I was 322 my highest I'm now maintaining around 170lbs and I could not have done it without the bypass and now my metabolism is completely different.

You'll be on liquid post op
  7. Keep saturated fats low as you can and sugar. Low bad carbs is good too. Also be careful of sodium in food.

    Struggling 4 Days Out

    I suggest seeing a psychologist
  10. Had RNY BYPASS never had any injections just take multivitamins. I wanted and needed to have my stomach fixed and the bypass has made my metabolism so much better than it was. Yes I lost weight quick which was fine by me been lucky with little excess skin.

    Hate bypass

Well I'm sorry people had issues with their surgery I must be very lucky the bypass has worked wonders for me and I feel like a brand new Man. I had maybe one stall for a week in 8 months and I was able to reach and surpass all my goals the surgeon told me to stop losing weight LoL
  12. Hair on my head or my face? 1. My hair has got thinner with bypass and it appears to be growing slower than before.. I'm hoping it will get thicker.. 2. I don't like facial hair.. makes me look old.

    Thirty-year-old sleevers

35 male but with bypass. Surgery was quick. But recovery for me was a little bit harder than some was in excruciating pain for the first 24hrs but had some good drugs given by IV... But I'm a sook haha. I was in bed for the first 2 days.. the time went quick though.. belly was tight swollen for a while though.. had 5 holes in your belly.. 8 months since start of my journey 6.5 months since surgery and I'm below goal and my skin isn't that much of an issue I'm not sure why I got lucky might be the amount of water I drink everyday.... Don't really have much of a social life still in recovery mode in my head but my new look and body has definitely helped my social anxiety issues.. People in general treat you better when you're "skinny"

    New to the process

ONLY REGRET I didn't do this 10 years earlier. Do tons of research. Don't listen to others opinions on WLS if they are negative make your own decision based on legitimate information. Which surgery are you looking at?

So true @NYJenn Looking back at old photos I feel sick to think I actually lived like that for years and wish I had made changes years ago...

    Hate bypass

Yes everyone knows that a 2nd or 3rd surgery is totally different to a first surgery I'm glad I made the right choice and did months of research before choosing the BYPASS. Seen many people needing to be revised to bypass for many reasons over the years. My journey lasted about 8 months from when I began my pre-op diet to when I felt I was in maintenance and all I did was eat very little calories and carbs and was very strict on myself living off shakes predominantly for months and shed 154lbs and now BMI is 22.7 I feel great. I look great. And my metabolism is amazing.
  19. Well I've seen people self pay and get surgery in weeks other people have very strict insurance or doctors and can take years... There is many many factors involved...

    Loose skin fears

I think everyone worries about the loose skin.. It was in the back of my mind but I felt it's worth it for a new life and ffwd 8 months and I've shed 154lbs and I've been very lucky with minimal skin issues mostly on my lower belly and arms but not that noticeable unless naked LoL I've been told as time goes on it may bounce back and when the covid-19 issues go away I'll be looking into gym and toning up over the next year... I'll be 36 this year but I feel and look better than I have in 20 years.
  21. I told most of my family but had numerous people ask me if they didn't see me for a few months they would ask because I lost 154lbs in 8 months that's why 😁

    Hate bypass

I cut out all sugar and fat and was very low carbs from day1. I actually lived off shakes for months and I felt great you have to be committed and focused on your goals you cannot give in to cravings.

    Hate bypass

Hey yes first surgery and we all know the first surgery will be different to someone who had more than 1... I've gone from 322 to 170lbs in 8 months with bypass and still now some days I'm not even hungry.
