  2. I haven't...made an appointment and had to cancel because of work. Just had a house full of family for the last week so I can go back to concentrating on myself. I'm making an appointment to find out more and will definitely update you once I do!
  3. Hey there! I have posted on here before about my PCOS and the reason for doing the surgery was to get healthy enough for pregnancy. Everyone who has PCOS is different and exhibits different symptoms. I personally would have a cycle sometimes several times a month. I've never been one to "miss" my period. I would get heavy multiple periods a month. Over the last few months it's began to regulate and span about 29-31 days. Now I am 8 days late. I've taken several pregnancy tests that all came up negative. Over the weekend I went into the doctor and asked for a blood test to be sure. They told me it would be a few days before I would get the results. Since it's super common for women with PCOS to not get their period for long spans of time, I keep being told "It's just your PCOS". Since this hasn't been my experience, I'm just super confused. I ALWAYS get my period. Anyone else with a similar situation? I'm going crazy waiting to find out.I'm exhausted and weak so I asked them to check my iron levels at the same time too to see if that could be causing those symptoms. Probably not pregnant and just wishful thinking! Ughhhh
  4. Not pregnant, HCG level was .6 but have low iron at a 4. Still requesting a full workup to see if everything else is ok. Thank you ladies for your support!!! Iron supplements for now!
  5. Thank you ladies, you know I didn't even think of that. I've always been anemic! I'll talk with my surgeon (who does these cosmetic procedures as well) and see what he says and let ya know. It's just no matter what kind of bra I try they're just not full at the top anymore. It's nothing major, but if this is simple, effective, safe and helps my self esteem...I'm gonna give it a go! We shall see!!! I think eventually I'll get a full blown lift, but I want to be done having babies before I go all out.

    Whats short of time frame

My insurance (UHC) required a 6 month waiting period, monthly nutritionist visits, 1 psychiatric evaluation, a monthly check in at the surgeon and one cardiologist visit (which I think was for no reason, I have no heart issues DUMB 2 week liquid pre-op diet got 24 lbs off me, other than that, honestly no weight really had to be lost before the pre-op. My weight fluctuated before hand up and down. But all in all, I started the process in April in 2018 and Sleeved in October 2018.
  8. You look AMAZING! And also, beautiful before as well. But now you are beautiful AND healthy! So inspiring!! Selfie On!! 💃🏻 You are the sweetest!!!!!! Thank you so much, getting my weight under control and my health in order has been such a struggle. We're all in this together, let's fight the fluff!!!
  9. Yes! I am 5 months out and 109lbs down. The pre-op really helped jump start my weight-loss. I lost a good 24 pounds right before surgery and got used to having only liquids before I had to do the real thing. Anything is possible, but all of our bodies are different. Stay positive and focused and you'll do great! I even take selfies now and am obnoxious about it (LOL) because it's exciting to get all that weight off!
  10. Those first 2 weeks were pretty miserable. Gas was terribly painful. I still felt hungry too. Although I would say a lot of it is head hunger... I still struggle on the daily with that. I take one day at a time. Make the hard food choices (LOTS OF CHICKEN) and drink broth when I'm having that "head hunger". Really low calories, warm, savory and like a little snack. Keep your eyes on the prize and try and keep yourself busy. I also find the less I have to do...the more tempted I am to eat. Side note: I've eaten pretty much everything, pasta, fries, chips, but only a bite or two to get the craving to subside and only once in a while. It's so worth it though, I promise.
  11. The pictures on top were taken today at 193 lbs, I'm 5'9, so it may still seem high but I'm thrilled. Once I get to 175, I'm officially at my goal. I'm sure I have at least 10 lbs of excess skin thatll eventually be removed...but no rush. The pics below were 2 months preop (so around August 2018 and I weighed somewhere near 300lbs). In 6 months , I'm down over 100lbs and feeling fabulous. Struggling with the excess skin on my belly and inner thighs. Any spanx or waist trainer recommendations to conceal the pooch Lol! Hope everyone is happy and would love to see updates on my fellow October sleevers and how everyone is doing in general! Xoxo! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Spanx can be ridiculous!!! Thank you so much for the tip...I'll have to check them out!!!
  13. Thank you so much, of course girl, you got this!!!!
  14. YOU GO GIRL!!! Proud of you, keep up the amazing work!!! We can do this!!!
  15. Thank you, girl! You do too!!! We can do this!
  16. It was just as bad for you too then I think one of the greatest godsends for plus size gals are leggings!! They're stretchy and you can dress them up or down. But I still love my leggings! I felt like the plus size stuff at the "cooler" stores was outrageously priced too! Also, being tall and having really long arms I have NEVER been able to find shirts long enough for my arms, it always looks like I'm wearing a baseball tee! LOL It's like most designers assume if you're an overweight woman, you're also short. *GRUMBLE* I'm doing the same, shopping at Walmart for basics like leggings and shirts (I work from home so I RARELY have to look presentable) LOL! But it saves money until I hit my goal. TMI but I did a little splurge at Victorias Secret. As a woman, being able to go in and buy something off the rack was so amazing, I literally cried in the store. HA! But you're right about Costco...I have to check them out. I haven't been brave enough to wear a pair of jeans yet...maybe soon, but you bet they'll be cheap! hahaha!
  17. Thank you so much, you're absolutely right. Everyone's different and your bone structure, height and figure play a big part in how your weight is distributed. I still have a hard time noticing it on myself too. Then I start looking back at pictures and think OMG, I guess I have lost a lot! You look amazing!!!!!!! Congratulations, seriously it goes by so quick too. True that on the extra skin, It bother me a little, not gonna lie, but the fact that I can walk up my stairs without feeling winded and wearing more *normal* size clothes makes it all worth it. With mens "plus" sizes was it hard to find clothes you liked? I always wondered that about guys. With women's plus size clothing, most of it is AWFUL. You're stuck with circus tents and a small selection. I think society is starting to be more accommodating in that sense but still...I always felt I dressed my body and not my personality. In any case...you look fantastic and keep up the good work!!!!
  18. Thank you very much!!! Adjusting to my new figure, hard to figure out sizing still.

  22. Honestly I've been walking a lot. Eating protein from actual food and not relying on shakes. Also eating hours before I sleep. Its definitely not easy, but so worth it. You will stall, you will have cravings, your eyes will be bigger than your stomach. But just remember your end goal when you have your weak moments. It's totally doable, just stay focused and listen to your body. I wish you the best of luck and if you ever have questions you can always reach out to me!!!
