    2 weeks till banding!

I hit a plateau for the last two weeks and didn't lose anything! But I continued forward and finally broke it and lost 2 lbs - yeah!!!! I get my second fill next week. Anyone had a second fill yet? Any tips/suggestions/problems etc? Barbara

    2 weeks till banding!

My best advice is to put your fork down (or spoon) with each bite and chew it well. Eat slowly and it will soon become a habit. Enjoy each bite and pay attention to your stomach as it will tell you when it is full. Sometimes I am eating something real good and want to keep eating it and forget my fullness - i struggle with that sometimes.

    2 weeks till banding!

I am so happy to hear from other Oregonians. I live in Eugene and Dr. Jan in Portland did my band on March 25. My first fill was April 23 and I do notice that I am not eating as much as usual. I have lost 37 lbs since last year. Barbara

    Good Crockpot recipes?

I use this recipe for my crockpot and it is similiar to others: Stew meat 1 package of Lipton's Onion dry soup 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 can beef stock fill with Water until meat is covered You can just dump in your meat frozen or not - I just dump in frozen raw stew meat and in about 4-5 hours it is wonderful! Be sure to stir your Soups with a wisk to get the mushroom soup incorporated - before you dump in your meat. Barbara

    Day 4, Down 7

My liquid stage I had Protein Drink, cream soups and yogurt. I didn't know you could have sugar-free jello though, I would have loved that.
  9. This is my first post. I had lap band surgery on March 25, 2008 and got my first fill on April 23. So far so good. I was sooooo happy to get off of the liquids and pureed foods. I still mash my food and chew like crazy but I have lost a total of 37 pounds since I filled out the surgery application a year ago. The doctor wanted me to lose 15 pounds before surgery but I lost 22 pounds before surgery. My doctor is Dr. Jay Jan in Portland, Oregon. Lap Band is the best tool for me to lose weight. I haven't had any problems so far. Would love to hear from you'all for any tips that might help me lose some more lbs. Any good recipes? Barbara
