Sorry but you should have researched the lapband deeper before deciding to have it done!! This is not a miracle cure just a tool to help with your eating habits. Your mind has to be set to want to lose weight but if you have a negative attitude about it than it wasn't for you. I would do it again and wish I would have done it sooner. I was banded on the 19th of May and love my band Looosssiiieee!!(that's what I named mine..LOL) What doctor is performing your surgery? I had Dr. Atkinson, he is WONDERFUL!!! I have a large band and it holds 14cc's. I got my third fill on Friday and now have 4.5cc's in my band. I still haven't hit my sweet spot but I am losing on average 1 to 2 lbs a week. I love my band Looosssiiieee!!! Fran xo

Went to visit my parents yesterday after going for my third fill. I know how much my parents love Dunkin Donuts so I got a dozen for them and my DH and kids. While they were all around the table eating donuts and coffee I was able to sit there and not get tempted to have any.....yes that's right NO DUNKIN DONUTS for me!!!! My mom even commented how proud she was of me not getting tempted and having JUST ONE!! That's how I got as big as I was....with JUST ONE!! I know now that JUST ONE will get me back to where I was before...49 lbs heavier!! I love my band Looosssiiieee!!! Fran xo
