It's just at night and it's a really sharp pain in my side when I'm sitting up. When I lay down it goes away, but boy does it sting when I sit he wrong way. Anything serious?

Would they get the lap band for free if they qualified? Just something to think about... -

The day before my surgery, I wasn't even hungry because I was so excited. The surgery is so exciting! Looking back a month to when I had mine, it seems like nothing. It's just time... that's it. Think happy thoughts. Hunger no more... that's the whole point of the band! So you should celebrate the last day of your life you'll be hungry!!! -

What is this sharp pain in my side?

Well, I didn't exactly call my doctor because I really don't think it's anything serious. I just thought I'd ask my band ladies. ___________________ It's kind of sharp, right under my left ribs. Only in the afternoon and only when I sit up. Laying down it's fine. ___________________ Judging by what everyone's saying, I don't think it's a big deal. It's not like it's excruciating pain that I just can't stand. ___________________ (Big font b/c I refuse to wear my glasses and want to make sure I don't have type-o's :-p) -
I made it through (barely)

We all know how you feal as far as pain goes, but don't worry, it will go away and you'll be better than ever afterwards. My non-medical, totally psychological help for the pain was thinking of myself after I loose all this blasted weight. It takes your mind off the pain. Start thinking of what you're going to wear (bikini), what you're going to do (jogging), stuff like that. Believe me, it's all worth it. Get ready for a new you. -
Are you happy with the site of your port? Do you wish it was in a different location?

Mine is at the front of my stomach by my belly button. When I get pregnant, it's going to look like I swallowed a coke bottle cap, lol. I suppose different sites are harder to get at than others. The other downside is, as I said, pregnancy and the port sticking out like a babies nose. It's all worth it to be hot. -
I was an overnight stay because I had to have an upper GI the next morning. It was the second most miserable night of my life. No sleep at all! Fortunatly, I had some company and the T.V.!

I'm 4 weeks out :-). It isn't where my port is, but it must be standard. Probably nothing to worry about (if I die tomorrow, don't quote me) lol
