Thanks to you and a couple of others for some recommendations! I got some Miralax yesterday. Still waiting but I’m sure it’ll kick in! Just a side note, has anyone sneezed since surgery? Holy cow that’s painful! My allergies are trying to kill me lol

I was sleeved November 6th. I had way more pain that I was expecting and I’m someone who has had some really painful surgeries in the past! Today was the best day I’ve had so far, though I still had to take pain medication. The hospital sent me home with a stool softener because they said my pain medication may cause constipation. I don’t know if that’s what has happened or if I’m just not going because I’m on liquids since surgery and had mag citrate before surgery. Either way, the stool softener is bigger than my surgeon will allow me to take. He requires all medication in liquid form if it is bigger than a birth control pill. Anyone else in Camp No Poop and what are you doing about it?

I was sleeved yesterday, Tuesday, Nov. 6th. I was just discharged from the hospital this evening. My surgery went extremely well, I’ve had no complications. However, I was not prepared for the level of pain. Make sure you stay on top of your pain management! I ran out of meds overnight and woke up in a world of hurt. BUT, walking helps. I did 40 laps around the hospital floor yesterday and 34 today. It’s painful but it’s gonna be what helps the most. I intend to keep up the walking and hopefully things will be calmer in a couple of days.

It's starting to feel real now. My surgery is the 6th which is now less than a week away! I am more excited than nervous. I've had plenty of surgeries so I don't have any fear about that or about the pain afterwards. I am a little nervous about whether I will have prolonged nausea because I'm prone to that after surgery anyway. BUT I am just SO READY!

So as I stated, my surgery date is Nov. 6th (YAY!). My surgeon only requires 24 hours of a liquid diet as pre-op. BUT I have decided that I'm doing the 2 weeks because I know it's great for my liver to shrink as much as possible. I lost 20lbs during my 4 month medically-supervised diet and my surgeon asked me to lose another 5lbs before my surgery. I want to be the healthiest I can be when heading into the operation so even though it's not required, I'm on the 2 week liquid diet with all of you! I've had 1 Premier Protein shake this morning and about 36 ounces of water. I think it's going to be a looooong day!
