  1. I couldn't live with out my massager...the gas pain in my left shoulder was HORRIBLE!! My mother massaged it the day of surgery and the next, but after that, I was on my own...LOL! The gas x strips, etc didn't work for the gas pains for me, but the massager did the trick!! :tt1:
  2. Hey lady!! How are you doing!!

  3. Awww, I'm glad you got thru that and still and the motivation to continue forward!!

I'm in 18/20's right now *dancing* LOL!

It's weird, when I look at myself (other than my face) I can't see me losing weight...I know I am because I can see the difference on the scale...it's weird!!

    Eat what you want!

My question is kind of related to this post & some of the things that have been said in reply to the initial post... Exactly how big is our pouch and how much are we "supposed" to eat? I've been thinking I was doing good just eating about 8 ounces of food per meal...but I've been seeing a lot of people say 1/2 cup or 4 ounces... What works for you all?
  5. Hey! I've read some of your posts about working out/weights etc and I wanted to get more info from you!

  6. Oh, and my journey is going good so far!! I'm down about 50 lbs now...so I'm super excited about that!

  7. How ya derin'!?!?!?!?

  8. Hey laaaaady!! I'm glad everything is going better with you! What kind of complications did you have, if you don't mind me asking!

    I see you! Get it!!!
  12. If you customize the routine, you can go back to the previous routine by going to the "my routine" button...it will have the last routine you did saved. Unfortunately I don't think (or I haven't figured out) how to save multiple workouts.
  13. I........am doing alright....I think! LOL!

I go in for my first fill on Monday so....I'll have a better update then. I've been refusing to weigh myself....LOL

  14. Hello all, this week was my first week on solids and I must say, I'm tired of broccoli, green Beans, and cauliflower as my side items... I need a better variety of veggie ideas, this low carb thing is kicking my butt! Like tonight I want to do baked pork chops, but I've had broccoli and green beans all week and I want to do something different. Is there anywhere online that has good 'bariatric' recipes/meal ideas? HELP!
  15. Hello! We're both in San Antonio, cool! I was banded by Dr. John Gonzalez!

  16. Just checkin' on ya...how are you?!

  17. Heeeeey! How are you doing? I'm doing pretty good, just trying to keep myself focused!!

My pre-op weight was 294, last time I was weighed I was at 270. I really don't want to weigh myself ever b/c I don't want to get discouraged....

  18. Congratulations on reaching your goal!! I've just started out and I hope to have just as much success as you have!! You look great!

  19. I'm getting kinda frustrated with the restrictions what we can/can't eat... When can we introduce fruits and veggies?
  20. Hello! I'm 26 and I was banded on 08/17/09. I just went for my first post-op appointment and I've lost 24 lbs =) I have not shared my surgery with a lot of people, mainly just my inner circle, but I really don't share a lot of my personal business with anyone... As far as my goals, I went in weighing 294 pounds, on the verge of multiple long term complications, and I just want to get as far way from that as possible. I want to be healthy, I want to live with no regrets...... :w00t:
  21. Heeeey! Congratulations on getting banded!!! I went for my post op on Wednesday and I've already lost 24 lbs...*gasps* LOL!

I'm sure that'll slow down once I start introducing different foods, etc...but that's a very good start if you ask me!

Good luck on your journey!!! Keep in touch with your progress!!

  22. *waves* I was banded on 8/17 and I'm feeling pretty good! I'm still on the liquid diet (*ugh*), but I have my post-op appointment tomorrow morning and hopefully (crosses fingers) I will be cleared for mushies! (I never thought I'd be so happy to eat mashed potatoes and oatmeal LOL!) I have been struggling with the lack of energy for the past couple of days. I'll get up to start doing something and after a few minutes I'll have to stop and rest or I'll get dizzy =( One feedback comment I do plan on giving the drs office is that the lap band manual that they gave us which, don't get me wrong, is an absolutely wonderful source of information, but the first week instructions should be much more clear than what they have in the manual. I mean weeks 2 - 4 are very elaborate with sample menus, drinks, etc but nada for week 1 except "drink clear liquids". For me personally, at this point, I don't care about week 4, because I'm trying to figure out what the heck to do for week 1!! But, eh....tis life...LOL! Good luck to all the future August bandsters =)
  23. Hey twin!! =)

I'm doing pretty good, I go for post-op tomorrow to get the "new rules" for week 2 and beyond...LOL! I promise I don't want to see another container of jell-o!

Staples...ouch! I think my doc glued my incisions...the stupid tape hasn't even fallen off of them yet...I'm annoyed. LOL!

My energy level is super, extra, low though...when I start moving around and everything I have to sit down occasionally and catch myself...but, I'm looking at the big picture...no pun intended!

    Good luck with everything tomorrow!!

  24. Hey, how are you feeling?! I see we were banded on the same day....wooooooooo...LOL!

  25. Thank you! I'm trying to get use to navigating this site...LOL!

I'm still in my first week after banding...and I'll tell you...I'm so tired of liquids!! LOL!
