Today in 8weeks out from surgery and down 39 pounds. I was stalled for weeks 5,6, and 7. Then this week I lost 7 pounds. I was struggling to get even 30oz of water. I had to change my routine this week was the first week I was able to get in my 64oz but it made all the difference.

Same here every three hours I eat a few bites. I’m returning to work tomorrow hopefully I can stick close to my routine.

I was weighting my self regularly until last week. I’m five weeks out and was losing a pound a day until last week once I switched to regular foods. I stalked. I was so frustrated so I started walking and using my elliptical waited a week and I lost 3 pounds. Also this week i can finally drink more water. I’m now up to 48oz at least a day. I was definitely dehydrated I figured that was why I stalled. Hearing that others have gone though this helps a lot. I was worried.

I’m also struggling with the soft food stage. I can only take two bites of anything after three bites I have severe chest pain and then I have forced myself to throw up. It’s the only way I feel better. I realize I can’t do 4 oz of food maybe just 2oz at a time.

Thanks! I’m sipping a protein shake now maybe that will help.

I’m really struggling today I’m 7 days post op and today I feel weak tired I don’t want to drink or eat anything. I know I have but just not feeling great today.

I’m meeting with my dietitian again in two weeks which will be around I start eating solids.

Yes. I was thinking the same. Liquids all day and a meal at night.

Soups, mashed potatoes, yogurt, blended fruits yay! I can have my green smoothies again. Along with my shakes. My dr says 6 4oz meals per day but that’s not easy because I also have to get in my vitamins and 64oz of water. I’m usually full after a few sips of anything.

My plan is one week liquid, one week puréed, and one week soft foods and fourth week regular foods

I’m 6 days post op and had my 1 post op visit with the dr today. I’ve lost 7 pounds since surgery and I’m now approved for puréed food. It’s also the first day of feeling semi normal. I can get down water now without and pain and my breathing is much better. Hearing about everyone’s journey has been so helpful.

Yep. Warm chicken broth. I’m 5 days post op and it’s all I can get down and it satisfies my hunger I can only get down about 2.5 ounces though.

Good morning everyone. I had my sleeve surgery yesterday morning. Still in the hospital I haven’t been up walking yet but will do today. Minutes before my surgery my surgeon came in to tell me that their was a new cutting procedure (a clamp) that he’d never used before and if I agreed I’d be the first patient he’d have used it on. I agreed. According to the doctor my surgery went well. I expected to wake up in pain but I didn’t. I had a hernia repaired and only pain I had was in my left shoulder and a sore throat but it was bareable. I’m able to get my water down but the broth made me nauseous. I’m expected to be released some time today.

Day 3 of my liquid diet. It’s been rough I felt so hungry. I ate a chicken breast. Hopefully I’d do better tomorrow.
