Food Before and After Photos

First two fotos show how many ch I ordered to eat alone in a sushi restaurant. Third and fourth show how much I can eat now 😱😱 -
You still have gases from the surgery and your incisions are still open why rush back to work so fast? Stay home, check different kind of waters (not all bottled water tastes the same, I have a couple that I love some that I hate) you will get to like one of them eventually! Best of luck and don’t push yourself too much, no matter how well it went it’s a full operation and an anesthesia you went through.

I had a band for 10 years, no loss but had all the vomiting problems if the food was too dry or too fast or whatever it would go out... so I decided and removed it and changed to sleeve, only have it for three weeks but I am already much happier than before. My doctor wanted to have a month+ difference from the day he removed it to the day of the sleeve... I was feeling super hungry these days but managed through quite well and lost 20kilos before my sleeve surgery (in three months time) plus 6 more now after the sleeve. My opinion is to avoid lapband and go for sleeve

I had a Lap band too, revised to sleeve, but my doctor didn’t do it at once, let me have a month between surgeries... you can also get an abdominal binding belt to help you with the driving and sleep. Best of luck with all!!

Post operation diet
RoRoKitty replied to RoRoKitty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good to know there are more people like me out there hehehe :) all my best to you and your wife !! -
I see many people starting with liquids then puréed food then normal food. I am one week post operation and at hospital I had liquids broths and juice , however the diet I was given for when I go home and later was almost normal food, just what to take care how to start eating things slowly what to avoid what to check slowly if I can eat etc. I was quite happy with that but kept some liquids for the breakfast and snacks and only have soft food for main courses (I had boiled potatoes and boiled chicken, chicken soup with rice and tuna so far) it goes great but I am worried if I do something very wrong. Should I see a dietitian or something?

Considering a lap band - scared after reading this forum!
RoRoKitty replied to Elrix's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had mine done 10+ years because my insurance only covered band or bypass. I was scared to do bypass as it felt too drastic and permanent for me. It worked in the first months then I learned how to “bypass” it and started eating again as before. If I was not too careful though I would puke and had problem with dry food getting through. Two months ago I had it removed and last week I had a sleeve operation as I had all the weight put back on. Surgeon who removed my lap and told me it was starting to incorporate inside my stomach, this is why he gave me two months of healing time before doing any further surgery after removing it. I am really happy for all the people it works for it was just not the correct solution for me ! Fingers crossed now :) -
