Every morning I have a cup of Green Mountain cinnamon and sugar cookie flavored coffee with an 11 oz Vanilla Premier protein. I hear the protein drink for 1:30 minute then add to the hit coffee. It’s very good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

10 days post op smooth sailing?
Wickedwinner replied to Selmeeka's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Same. I never really felt different. Just a little less hungry. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
A friend of mine had the sleeve about a year and a half ago. She hadn’t lost all the weight she wanted so she started an IF/carb cycling program. She has really dropped pounds and inches! I’m only 4 months out and don’t think I can do IF yet, but if I find myself in that place later I definitely will. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Look at wigs.com under hair falls and half wigs. Lots with bangs. Get the color you like and have your hair dyed to match it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That should say NOT because of ulcers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was told not to take them because they would cause a leak in the sleeve, or because of ulcers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you looked into wigs? They make “half” wigs which basically just sit on the scalp and add volume but aren’t too heavy. There are some very natural looking hair pieces on the market that you wear until your hair grows back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

HELP: Gaining Weight After Only 6 months from MGB
Wickedwinner replied to MGBinIsrael's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
FancyChristine15 perhaps my diet was misunderstood. I am not eating pretzels all day and asking why am I gaining weight, lol. Porridge for brunch and rixe cracker or tune or meat ball, what I dont understand is how i can fit it all in. Isn't my pouch suppose to restrict me?and why am i starving?? If I was able to eat only 3 meals a day then I would not have had the surgery to begin with. I am starving all day, why? Because you are eating a lot of slider foods. You will not feel the restriction as much when eating liquid-y food and fruits containing lots of water. Eat more dense proteins and the restriction will come back and you will not feel as hungry. New discovery: Can't handle rich foods
Wickedwinner replied to bodycando's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don’t eat too many sweets such as cake etc so I don’t know how those will affect me. But I did try bbq ribs about a month ago(I’m 4 months out) and they didn’t agree with me at all. Massive heart burn and my stomach felt like it was going to explode. I only ate 2 ribs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Dec 2018 surgery updates please
Wickedwinner replied to LasVegasMike's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the sleeve surgery 12/14 and have lost 52 pounds. No complications at all. Very pleased with my decision. My dr wants me to eat 1200 calories a day but I find that extremely hard unless I’m eating something I know I really shouldn’t. I stick to high protein, low carb and try to get 1000-1100 calories. BMI OF 31 AND 35 LB TO LOSE. IS IT WORTH IT?
Wickedwinner replied to nssmia's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Try intermittent fasting. Lots of people I know lost weight doing it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
It’s a hard sensation to explain. Until I went on regular food I was still “hungry” but just knew I shouldn’t eat any more. I felt kinda full but not completely satisfied. I was worried my restriction wasn’t enough. But once I started on real food I felt it right away. I usually burp during a meal and shortly thereafter I know I have to stop eating. I’ve never got sick and I don’t want to so I err on the side of under-eating instead of over-eating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Water exercise ideas for weight loss, arthritis and chronic pain?
Wickedwinner replied to polly...'s topic in Fitness & Exercise
Yes Amazon carries water weights. If they have water belts (similar to a life vest) at the Y, you should try it in the deep end of the pool and water jog. It really works out your upper body along with your legs and there is no impact at all as you are not standing on the pool floor. I did this while rehabbing a knee injury a few years ago and lost weight when I wasn’t even trying to! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
What, you had NO surgery complications?
Wickedwinner replied to Healthy_life2's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Three and a half months from my sleeve surgery. I’ve not had any issues other than minor constipation. Never had a problem eating and drinking water. Down 50 pounds so far. Have not lost any hair yet (knocking on wood). No regrets! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
I had diarrhea for about a week to ten days. I think it was from the barium we had to drink and being on just liquids. It cleared up fine, but now I’m fighting lots of constipation. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

An air fryer and an Instant Pot would be good. You need a couple of sauté pans, pots, oven safe dishes, and a cookie sheet. I would recommend a basic cooking class or see if there are YouTube tutorials to learn the basics. Also, if you can afford it, the home delivery meals such as HomeChef would be helpful for a few months (once you are eating a regular diet). They send you all the food with detailed instructions and pictures on how to cook it. Once you get a nice “cookbook”you can stop the service but still have plenty of recipes and instructions to keep. Haven’t tried that one but I have tried a lot of them. Best one I’ve found so far is one made from cauliflower and yellow lentils on Amazon. I’ll try to find a pic and post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hair loss & Biotin when did you start taking it?
Wickedwinner replied to Alikiinz's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
While those may help, my dr promised me that if I got 100 grams of protein everyday I would not lose hair. I’m in month 3 and haven’t lost any yet (knock on wood). I take the recommended supplements but nothing else. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
I'm stuck - What can do to finally have a bowel movement?
Wickedwinner replied to millykp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You’ll definitely need a stool softener, like Miralax. Call your dr office and ask if you can take Colace this soon. This is common after surgery. It takes a while for your bowels to get moving again. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

Me and the husband advice please
Wickedwinner replied to newmebithebypass's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have you looked into any of the mail order meal plans? Most use really fresh ingredients and you choose meals that fit your diet. I use HomeChef and really like it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Minimum time off from work?
Wickedwinner replied to Karen D's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
You should be fine. I could’ve gone back after a week, but took 2 weeks anyway. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
I eat all these things and they don’t bother me a bit. Although, nothing has made me throw up. I’m 11 weeks out from VSG. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’d say I’m a fairly slow loser. I lost 16 pounds in first month and 1/2 of it was in the first week. I stalled at weeks 2-3 but since then I’ve lost 2-4 pound per week. I’m about 10 weeks out and have lost 32 lbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
