@Bryce86, Dr T came to see me 1st day post-op and then Dr Jawad later in the day. I never had to do full liquids. My 2 weeks pre-op I did 2 shakes per day and one "sensible" meal. A couple of meals may not of been as sensible as they would of liked but I still lost 9 lbs. These last two weeks can be tough but hang in there and remember the ultimate goal! Bryce86, I just had gastric bypass on Tuesday by Dr Jawad. ORMC certainly has this procedure organized. You will get a nerve block so there is no pain. The whole process was a very nice experience. I spent one night in the hospital and then went home. I've done well on my own. Best of luck for your upcoming surgery! -
I just had surgery on Tuesday afternoon. Got to my room at 6pm, up to the bathroom at 8pm, walked the hall with a tech at 5am, given the ok to walk by myself after that, made many laps around the hospital floor. Doc came it at 2pm and asked if I felt ready to go home, I said yes. I was discharged about 5pm, got home 5:30. I live alone and have done well. So far, I have had no pain.
