I thought forcing myself to use my CPAP for a month was crazy hard but I figured out just how weak I am on this darn diet lol.

[emoji38][emoji38][emoji38] This tickles my funny bone. Thanks for the laugh! They had ample warning that i'd be on the liquid diet so they were playing with fire lol.

    June 2019 Surgery Siblings!

I'm good. I have everything taken care of with the hospital and am ready for Monday. I'm really struggling with this liquid diet however lol. I do good all day and night until I get off work...that's when i've always had my biggest meal. I'm about sick to death of protein shakes too Also, I found out that i've likely had a heart issue in the past. My EKGs have always been normal but my pre-op one says I may have had a heart attack of undetermined age. Things got real very quickly. The good news though is that as of that day I had a normal sinus rhythm.
  4. I did a trial run the week before I actually had to start my 14 day liquid diet. I just wanted to make sure that I at least liked the things on my list so that when I actually started, i'd be ok. I lasted 4 days lol. It's freaking hard. So I gave myself normal food the last 3 days of that week and started over 9 days ago with the actual diet.

    That's awesome...keep us informed
  6. You should probably be shooting for more steps and making sure that you get your heart rate up when you are walking. Go back to basics with your diet. I'm sure everything will get back to normal

That's awesome, congrats....that's one of my "things I can't wait to do"
  9. I originally was planning to have the sleeve but in all my research I discovered that there is a good possibility that my already significant GERD could be made worse...and that with the bypass, the GERD is typically lessened or cured. I'm having the Bypass in just over a week. Definitely talk it over with your surgeon but i'd go with the bypass.

    July 2019 - Surgery Schedule

I was denied by BCBS the first time as well. My policy specifically stated that I had to be on a Dr monitored diet and that it had to be someone other than my surgeon.

Definitely give them a call but you can get some idea of what to do by looking at others diets on here. I'm allowed sf jello, sf pudding, low fat cream of soups strained, sf popsicles, v8 or tomato juice, 100% fruit juice, 3 protein shakes/day, yogurt etc

    HELP I'M NEW HERE

I guess i've never heard of a bypass being revised to a sleeve.

    Protein

Oikos Triple 0 yogurt has like 15 gms of protein.
  19. I'm glad that you are feeling better

    clothing

I'm thinking that i'm going to give one of those services a try that send you a few sets of clothes and you return them after you wear them and they send you more. You can change the sizes as you lose. There's also a site that sells gently used items...I think it's thread up.

    HELP I'M NEW HERE

Welcome....what did you have it revised to?
  22. ARMoma45

    CPAP

It should only take a few days for your Dr to get the results of your clinic sleep study and write the order for the CPAP(I had to have all that done through my PCP even though it was for my surgery). Once you have the order for the CPAP, it only takes a few days to get in and get fitted for the machine. I absolutely hate mine but I had to be compliant for a month before they would schedule my surgery. The company that provides the CPAP will monitor your usage and when your time is up, you can ask them to fax in a transcript to your surgeon's office.

It's probably just itching because it's healing. Unless you see that it's getting really red and having some drainage, I wouldn't worry to much about it.
