My sips hurt too if I swallow to hard and I'm tense. I now sip slowly and relax with every sip. It works. I feel I was just overthinking it and would tighten up my stomach before I sip. My doctor let me go home with drinking only half of the 64. I'm now doing a lot better. Just take your time and relax. You can do it Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I go to the doctors Tuesday as well. I want scrambled eggs. I haven't had hunger pains yet but I want to eat some thicker food. I'll even take a protein shake. I have been getting heartburn from the liquids. Have you experienced that? Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

FlyAwayFree I had my surgery on 10/29 as well. I was on an emotional rollercoaster for the past 2 days. I got out the hospital on the 31st. I was fine but I couldn't get the 64 fl ozs of liquid in. I felt like a failure. I thought I was getting dehydrated and I was going to need to go back to the hospital. I didn't want to tell anyone how I was feeling because I didn't want them to look at me as a failure as well. So yesterday I had a talk with myself that I know I got this and I know I can do it. After my last drink of water before bed last night i drank 81.5 fl ozs of water......yay. Hopefully the talk with myself fixed me. And hopefully my emotions are back in check. Did you get nausea medications? I wasn't taking mine but I did yesterday. No nausea now. It's so hard for me to drink just water. I made myself drink 1.5 bottles because my urine was getting so dark. This group is such a life saver. I love it. So don't ever feel alone just bring it to the group. We can all help each other. You got this FlyAwayFree. You are amazing for taking the 1st step to change the rest of your life [emoji6] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

They took my drain out the day of discharge on 10/29. I was told not to put ointments on it. They said to just let it dry out. I did wash and pat dry. I was told I didn't have to cover it back up after I took their bandages off. My drain incision is completely closed with a scab now and its only been a few days Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I talked to my nurse today about my BM. I have not had one since Monday 10/29. She said its normal because I haven't had any food. She said to give it a week or so then if know changes to talk to my doctor about it. I haven't taken the pains meds. I don't really have pain nor nausea. Today I drank really cold water to fast while walking on the treadmill and it made me feel different but not sick Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

The sugar free popsicles are great. The broth I have to eat at room temp or it will make my stomach ache. I just need to work on my protein. I've only had 20 grams today Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm making myself drink 6 to 8 ozs per hour. Every 15 minutes I drink 2 ozs. It has gotten easier since I've been home. I don't want to go back to the hospital. The Crystal light taste good and so does the Premier protein clear Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I am doing a lot better. I did have a little back pain last night. That's because I'm sleeping awkward. Trying to get all my fluids in early. I'm up to 20 ozs so far this morning. I had to drink 32 ozs before they would release me from the hospital yesterday. I don't feel hungry yet. Oh the nurse told me to eat sugar free popsicles they count as 2 ozs. Ask for some popsicles. They didn't send me an email as promised with the tracking number. I called the 800 # and they gave me the tracking info. I got my vitamins some time last week. It only took a week to deliver. You have to keep calling them which is crazy. I ordered them the 17th and they were shipped the 19th. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
