  1. I'm 2 weeks post op. The paperwork ik was given when discharged from the hospital outlined each food stage at 2 weeks in length, liquids, pureed, soft foods, normal diet. However, the weight loss center than I'm required to go to the nutrition classes through, are very adamant that I must stay in each food phase for a full month. What is yours like? I'm really curious as to why I was given such different information. HW: 227.6 SW: 219.9 Current weight: 209.6 Sent from my SM-G892A using BariatricPal mobile app

How long are your food phases?

We had a class pre-op too and that is where they made us actually right down the dates we could start each phase and they were 1 month apart. At 2 weeks I can tell you though I've had scrambled egg twice already because it is allowed during the puree'd phase according to these people. But, yeah I have 1 month long phases instilled into me and then a couple days ago I pulled my discharge paperwork and they say pureed can start 2 weeks post op, stage 3 at 4 weeks and then normal diet at 6 weeks. And when I look online, I cant find a single website stating 1 month long phases so I'm just thinking, what the heck? Sent from my SM-G892A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Clear protein drinks suggestions.

Hmm, I mean the ones we were allowed to have were ready made high protein drinks. I guess "shake" is a term used loosely. Muscle milk and premier protein were definitely not allowed according to the weight loss center but I suppose each place just has their own way of doing things. Clear protein drinks suggestions.

I was allowed protein shakes, like glucerna hunger smart and ensure high protein during the clear liquid pre-op phase. So I'm not sure why they are telling you to add protein powder to water? Sorry I'm not much help. They have us a list of approved ready to drink shakes that you can by at any grocery store. Sent from my SM-G892A using BariatricPal mobile app

    September bypass buddies??

When was your surgery? Mine was Sept. 24th. I dont get light headed anymore but man, fatigue comes fast! I'm able to walk with my dog around the block but after that I'm done. I'm hitting my protein goal every day but still not hitting my water intake all the time. I mean the stomach now can only hold 1/4-1/2 cup at a time so.... like they say, sip sip sip all day long.
