Having gastric bypass in one week febuary 12,2019

plan activities with the girls to keep you busy so you can focus on something other than food. I used to run non stop, i never made time to sit and be idle so i could not have time to think about what i wanted to eat. I also always had liquids with me no matter where i was.

    Please help me

Speak to the nutritionist and if you are truly concerned maybe seek out a therapist to help you get to the root cause so you can deal with what the triggers are and maybe get to recognize what those triggers are.. Good Luck to you.

    Losing weight before surgery

Track what you are eating. You are going to have to track after surgery. Sometimes we may not eat a whole lot but foods high in carbs and/or fat. Your daily caloric intake should be below 2000 to start losing. If you can keep your caloric downt o 1500 you will start losing quickly, I would start tracking what you are eating. WW and Low Carb are total opposites. Whole they both work, it has to be one or the other and not both otherwise it isnt going to work. I have done both of these diets prior to surgery.. They both work but you really have to decide if you want to give up anything or just reduce what you eat. Good luck on your journey!

    Eating was an activity.

I love going out to eat. It isnt so much about the food as it is about spending time with family and friends and actually slowing down life a little instead of always being on the run.

    Gastric Sleeve Surgery 2/20/2019

I agree with other posters. Walk walk walk! I was fortunate to not have any pain after surgery. I walked every hour and a half. Up and down the hallways more times than i could count LOL.. Drink or rather SIP very slow and constantly post surgery. I had most of my liquid in by day 3 and by 5pm. I was non stop sipping all day long no matter where i was or what i was doing.

    2 week pre op diet

the best thing i could do for me, which was recommended by my surgeon.. is drink the lower g of protein shakes, so you can have 5 or 6 a day MAX... if you drink the 30g ones, you limit yourself and then can be hungry. My typical day started with Water, then Coffee.. then protein shake, then i had chicken broth for lunch and and followed with protein shake.. water..etc.. and broth for dinner. I tried to maintain a normalcy throughout so it didnt drive me crazy. But i will say being allowed 5 or 6 protein shakes a day was the best thing i did along with the broths for lunch and dinner. I was never hungry and there were days i didnt get to the 5 or 6.

    NOT FULL & always hungry

I cant answer for the RNY but with the sleeve, there is for sure restriction. And man when you overdo it. it is noticeable on my face lol. I dont even have to say i ate too fast or too much.. It shows.. I am learning each day to slow down and wait more and more because for sure for sure... Its a mess to deal with afterwards!

    Looking for a Sleeve Buddy

I would love to find one too. Have either of you tried going to support groups in your local towns? Online is great, but in person helps a great deal too!

    Baby food

be careful with baby food. Yes it is puree but some of it has way too many sugars to tolerate.

    Smooth Sailing for Anyone?

Orlando Area! I went with Dr. Shillingford..I have not had any complications thus far!
  22. Things do get better, but being realistic you are constantly watching what you eat and how much you eat.. How you chew and timing between bites. This is a lifelong journey! All i can say is try to get the positive out of what you are putting into it. I am making this into a challenge. ( I know right, its a challenge in itself) but I am preparing, changing, creating new things to eat, try.. etc so i dont have the same thing all the time and feel deflated. Also try a local support group if you dont have one.. Its good to be around others that have had the same thing as you so you can brainstorm and that sort of thing. I hope it gets better for you soon.
