  1. That just sounds scary. I had an employee do it once and she was out of work for 6 weeks and then still wasn't herself.
  2. I am in my 5th week post op. When I went to the Dr. at my 2 week follow up.. 2 of the sutures would not come out as the skin overgrew the point. He removed the other 2. He said if they came through to remove them. Last week or so.. one of them exposed itself and came out. This last one was being difficult and it was starting to hurt when my waistline would press into it. This morning I removed the scab.. I know gross.. and I didn't feel anything there.. as I got ready to leave the house and I was getting dressed.. I kept being scratched by something.. I looked down and dang it.. there it was.. out in the open.. Goodbye Suture!!! I surely will not miss you!! Darn.. and the dr said they were dissolvable.. I do not think so.. that thing was as tough as a fishing line LOL.. but glad it is finally gone.

    Water intake

I agree on the SF Popcicles. They helped a lot when i needed more liquid and just could not drink another ounce.
  7. That is a whole lot of stuff. They should not require you to buy theirs.

    Counting Carbs

I was wanting to buy carbquick so i could make pancakes, just wanted to make sure i could have it. I tried the protein pancakes with chickpeas.. absolutely gross. I wont eat it all the time because in my book it is like having bread, but something different than eggs and cottage cheese a few times i would be eternally grateful. LOL. I start soft foods on Thursday.

    Counting Carbs

I actually did this morning, she said we could only count net carbs if the amount of Fiber was higher than 5g.. other than that it was total carbs.

PRE OP Weight loss Mind Games

True.. I have started to drink a 16 ounce water on the way to work.. before my coffee and breakfast. It has really helped get my liquids in earlier and feel full. Sometimes that water is a protein water.. and then I have protein shake in my coffee.. all before I attempt to eat that egg, or 2oz of yogurt or cottage cheese LOL I cannot wait till next week I can add in pancakes.. low carb ones, with protein powder added.. silver dollar size is what I will be able to handle I am sure..

    Anyone NOT taking their vitamins?

I am new to all this.. My Dr. doesn't start vitamins till a month after surgery.. which will be this coming weekend. I do know that if you skip your vitamins you will be deficient in a lot of nutrients due to the restricted amount of intake on food. You could end up in the hospital. I would be careful and make sure you follow your doctors orders.
  24. you will feel a deep pressure in your chest.. and it will last for about a good 30 minutes before you start to feel back to normal. FYI the same thing will happen once you move to foods and eat 3 spoons in 5 min LOL.. Speaking from experience.
