Calcium Caltrate w/vit D
Jazzy1125 replied to LaNueva_Janie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I take the celebrate Soft Chews.. No pic because it is at home. My mulitivitamin from pro Care health has the iron, so i only have to take 2 different things a day besides the Biotin i take each morning. -
Try not to stock up on too much stuff as your taste buds will change. Your Dr. may also give you a script for b12 shots instead of taking them orally. Just remember, take your time, drink (sip) slow and when you get to the food stages to go very slow. Something you may really enjoy you may want to eat bite after bite but it will make you not feel so good. Take a few minutes between bites and put your fork or spoon down to give it time to settle.

March 2019 group?

There should be but i am not sure. Try searching the threads. Good luck on your surgery, and your move! -
I scored some protein mix from Inspire with an eggnog flavor. I have been looking for a sugar free eggnog flavor syrup so i could make my own to no avail over the holidays. I saw this stuff online on sale for 15 a bag for 20 servings.. and Bam.. got me a few bags since it was a Christmas Clearance item so i could shake things up a bit. The only downfall is there is only 20g of protein per serving instead of 30..BUT since our bodies can only process 30 at a time, I am ok with that, I will use Milk for the eggnog and increase the protein to 28.. while i use water with the ones that are already 30 since it is pointless ( other than make your shake more creamy) to use milk with the 30g protein mix that is just vanilla or chocolate. On another note: I found a recipe on FB that i thought i would share here for Waffles!!! Best darn waffles i have ever tasted! 1Scoop Vanilla protein powder ( last night i ventured and made it with Eggnog.. It was good.. but dont put butter on it LOL) 1 egg 1 tsp baking powder 3 tbps water Mix well and cook in your waffle iron YUM!! PS- I was told if you add a 1tsp of baking soda.. it makes wonderful pancakes as well ( not replace, but add- i asked for clarification on that one) I may try that this weekend.

Drank juice and now can't stop throwing up
Jazzy1125 replied to duhniece's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It should pass but call your dr. It is probably due to all the sugar in juices. I hope you feel better soon! -
I am now taking Ducolax daily for at least a week per the Dr. Last night was day 2.. so will see if it has some good benefits. Seemed to work yesterday but not yet today LOL.. though it is early in the morning.

Doctor supervised Weight management appointments

Good Luck on your appointment! -
Thanks for sharing. Maybe try doing a reset? I have heard of some folks doing that where they go back to the liquid stage and then slowly progress back through the food stages. I dont know the specifics or time frames for each stage on a reset since i am only 3 months post op.. Hope you are able to get back on track!

Congratulations! Hopefully this time it sticks and we see you on the losers bench soon!

Fri will be 3 weeks post of VSG.
Jazzy1125 replied to MercMom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Welcome to the losers bench! Can you give us more details please? There are a lot of different areas you could be referencing. Clarification would really help us respond more clearly! -
I was on full liquids for two weeks but it depends on the doctor. I have noticed that all the doctors do it differently. I have seen some on it for a month and some only for a few days or day before.

You look amazing! Great Job!

Outside of cottage cheese, protein shakes, SF popcicles, the only other thing i tried was pureed chicken and tuna as it was soft enough but only if mixed with a mayo/greek yogurt almost like a patee. I also blended a few soups, but not many.

Getting Your Daily Protein In - after 3-4 months Post Surgery
Jazzy1125 replied to FluffyChix's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Let me add.. I no longer drink ready made ones by themselves. Those are reserved as creamer for my coffee! I make all my own from protein powder and i flavor it up with either PB2, or Torani SF flavored syrups and spices, depending on my mood. -
Getting Your Daily Protein In - after 3-4 months Post Surgery
Jazzy1125 replied to FluffyChix's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will save this for when i am allowed to have snacks per my surgeon. For the 1st year he does not want us to have snacks at all and to get our additional protein (outside the 3 meals) from a protein supplement drink. After the 1st year, we can swap out the protein drink for protein snacks. I have been eating a lot of salmon, tuna, and ground meats. Chicken doesnt like me yet. LOL.. My issue is getting in stuff outside of protein but not too worried about that as he said to focus on water and protein, and the other stuff will come later. Thanks for the tips Fluffy! -
