I got a breast lift and implants this week! I’m so excited! Before I got fat I had no boobs. I was like a 34A. When I gained weight I carried a lot of fat in my breasts. I went up to a 44G. Losing 110 certainly deflated them. I had no volume on top at all. I got gummy bears. 375ml on left and 275 on the right trying to even them out. So far it looks like they are pretty evenly sized now. I still have a lot of swelling. The incisions are so itchy. Can’t wait to go bra shopping in a few weeks!

I had a lift and implants. Went with 375cc gummy bears. I had lost a lot of volume so only slightly bigger than they used to be. -

That is great! I really need to do more exercise. I stay pretty vigilant on my eating. I’ve maintained this weight for many months. I recently bought some exercise bands to start toning more. Got to let the surgery heal then I can get started on that. -

Hey guys and gals! Hope everyone is doing wonderful. I haven’t posted in forever. Overall I lost 110 pounds from 268 to 155. I could stand to lose 20 more but not concerned about it. I got a breast lift and implants this week. The girls were so sad after that much weight loss. Just deflated and had no volume. Boy are they voluminous now! I have an apron of lose skin but doubt I will get a tummy tuck. Dating again. Very much like the guy I’m seeing. Been a very long time since a man was so nice to me. He is a sweetie. I truly hope life is treating everyone well! -

Looking good! My weight is pretty steady at 155-157. I’m only 5’3” so I could stand to lose 20 more but I’m thrilled to be where I am. Body doesn’t look so great with the excess skin. Maybe one day I will get that taken care of, but I’m ok with it for now. -
Is anyone else as disappointed...
ldawn replied to Luv2cruz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was a slow loser. I had surgery Feb 5, 2019 and I really wanted to be down to 200 pounds by my vacation in early June. Well I had only lost 40 pounds by then. I was disappointed. I only had 2 months of 10+ pounds weight loss. Every month was more like 8 pounds. In October I complained to my surgeon and he added up the numbers and the time frame. And I had lost 86 pounds in 9 months. By the 1 year mark I had lost 101 pounds. I’m happy. Weight comes off slower now but I feel great. What helped me more than anything was my measurement log. I measured every other week. I also had to leave Bariatric pal for a while. I am in a group with others who had surgery the same month as me. One of the ladies started doing the whole “omg I can’t stop losing weight I’m so skinny now” Crap at 4 months out. It really messed with my head. Walking away from the group for a few months really helped. -

Not elective at all. The ultrasound was really bad. When they took it out this morning it was gangrenous. I have positive blood cultures and 3 markers for sepsis. My heart rate has been 120 and bp 150-170/100-110. It had to be removed immediately. -

Been admitted to the hospital since Friday night. My gallbladder is so bad they won’t let me leave until it’s removed. -
Still no word from her? Worries me since she has had a rough time with surgeries in the past. I really hope the rotator cuff went ok

You make an excellent point. So far what I have bought is tops and dresses that I can wear when it gets a little warmer (I’m in Houston so warmer isn’t far away). If they are too big for the cruise then I have gift cards saved up that people gave me as gifts for when I need smaller sizes. -
February 2019 weight loss buds

Hey everyone! I haven’t posted in a little while. So my surgaversary is feb 5. I consider my starting weight to be my weight the day I started the 2 week pre op diet. I have been a slow loser from the beginning and it was emotionally very hard to see the people on here losing 10-15 pounds a month when I was barely losing 6 pounds most months. I think I only had 2 or 3 months where I lost 10 + pounds. This is why they say don’t compare yourself to others. The mental toll can be quite high. I had to extend my goal twice because I did t make it. So my starting weight was 268 and dammit today I hit 168!!!!!!! I’m 5’3” so I would like to lose 25-30 more pounds. I now only weigh myself once a week sometimes every other week. I still take measurements at least once a month (was every other week until November when I was able to let my mental issues with weight loss go). I have lost 16 inches off my natural waist, 6” off my thigh, 4” off my bicep, 2” off my calf, and 2” off my neck. I don’t have measurement of my chest because I always measured before I got dressed and ‘the girls’ weren’t where they were supposed to be located for measuring. But I have gone from a 44DD bra with an extender to a 40DD. But actually I’m between a D and a DD at the moment which is very frustrating. I have never felt a lot of restriction. Always thought I could eat more than I should be able to. That makes me watch my food a lot. There are days where I eat more than I should but I’m aware of it and adjust the rest of my day accordingly. Calorie counts on menus is the best thing for me. It definitely pushes me to healthier options. When I eat out I always get 2-3 meals out of it. I’m cooking more than I used to and bringing my lunch to work. Sodas no longer have a hold on me. I do occasionally have one but it’s one of those 8oz cans every 2-3 weeks. I find myself looking at clothes often now. I have a cruise in June and have been picking up a few things here and there off clearance racks. I’ve been buying a size 10 for the cruise which technically fits now, but will look better by then. I signed up for StitchFix. Thought it would be fun to let someone send me clothes and it may open my eyes to new styles. My hair is still growing back. I lost about a third of my hair. It’s now about 3 1/2 inches long so it doesn’t stand straight up anymore. I have never gotten back to normal bowel movements. Anyone else have this issue? Almost diarrhea since surgery. No urgency or anything like that just not normal. Everyone on here looks amazing! I’m so proud of all of us. And to November11 girl you are killing it! You look great. DrSchaffner take measurements!!! And the pre op diet is really hard the first couple of days but then you realize you can totally do it. Good luck and keep us informed of your progress. -
I had RNY on Feb 5, 2019. My hair loss started mid May and ended about mid July. I already had thin, fine hair to begin with so the loss was very noticeable (to me at least). Now here I am in October, 80 pounds down, and my hair is growing back! The pictures are of my bangs because it’s so noticeable there, but I have inch long hair all over my head. It makes my cowlick more obvious so I’ve been wearing a lot of ponytails to try to control it. My hair looks pretty awful with the little hairs standing straight up all over, but I’m thrilled it’s growing!

My PCP won't support my decision to have the surgery in Mexico
ldawn replied to Tralynn222's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had my surgery in the US because my insurance covered it. If it hadn’t I would have gone to Mexico. I’m a nurse practitioner. In 2017 2 of our office staff went to Mexico for the sleeve. The physician we worked for went with them to check it out and learn more about their program. She was impressed and very comfortable with the facility, the surgeons, and process. The ladies have both done excellent. We also have had several patients go to the same place and they have all done well. We have a patient who had surgery by Dr Nowzardan and that has been a nightmare recovery. Complications can happen anywhere. You can easily find a doctor who will watch out for you. You May find you like that doctor better. -

Check out my hair growing back! I lost a lot of hair all over, but I’d say almost 80% of my bangs fell out. -

I did a purge in June and had a big garage sale. All profits went into my clothing fund. I’m saving my clothing fund is for when I reach my goal. I want a personal shopper session at Nordstrom’s. Not saying I will end up buying much from there but it sounds like fun! -

I’m down 76 pounds. My mini goal is to be 100 down by thanksgiving. That gives me right at 3 months to lose 24 pounds. I need to exercise. I signed up for 4 weeks of gladiator camps. I will likely drop dead during class but the fact that it was $10 made it hard to pass up. Not sure I can meet this goal but I’m going to try. I have some slow months for weight loss which is very frustrating. -
I haven’t been exercising like I should and have been looking at classes to get me started. What on Earth possessed me to sign up for camp gladiator? I know exactly what it was, the 4 weeks for $10 sale they are running today. I may drop dead in class. 🤦♀️

If bra/panties pics aren’t allowed I will gladly remove. Here is a before and current. Pic 1 is 268 and pic 2 is 198. Notice in the side view that I’ve lost so much fat in my arms and chest that my arms now hang closer to my body so my fingertips hit a lot lower on my legs. I want to lose 60 more pounds, but it’s so far away it seems impossible. Adding my measurements also. I’m now wearing the lowest plus size they make. Almost in normal sizes!! -
I was just at the store and popsicle has a limited edition red popsicle pack in sugar free. Just cherry, strawberry, and raspberry. I’m not a fan of the other flavors (except grape which is my favorite). Just sharing my find.
