Gettin' Banded Soon....
mardango replied to DannysGirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi! Tomorrow is my big day! I am really looking forward to it, though of course, I am very nervous about going under anesthesia! My husband had it done in May and so far has lost 40 pounds! He is able to eat almost everything but of course in smaller portions. Our friends don't know he even had this done, because it's not like he is depriving himself and the weight has come off slowly, the way it should be! He is also walking a lot which is very important. It's giving me great incentive!!! -

Thanks! What do you mean by Slime? -
Hi! It was really great reading all of your posts! I am in the process of getting clearance to be banded. My husband is having his done on Monday! I am 45 and started gaining a lot of weight between the birth of my 2nd and 3rd child (17 months apart). I was 220 pounds 6 years ago and am now 250. I have never had a weight problem until this last pregancy (the most I weighed was 135) so I am looking forward to be able to enjoy my children and actually go on a bike ride with them!!! Your notes are very inspirational - my husband is very excited as he too gained the weight the same time I did - so we are in this together!

Help! I'm being banded on Monday and scared
mardango replied to angelface's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! I am new to this group because I am in the process of getting cleared to get banded. I was a normal weight most of my life (the most 138 pounds (I'm 5ft. 4) until my last child at age 38 - he is now 6 years old and since then I gained close to 100 pounds. I know that this is my only option and the best part is that I have my husband for support -- he is having it done on Monday!!! We both gained a lot of weight around the same time so we do know how it feels to be a normal weight. He is very excited about it, though I am a little nervous. Good luck to you and please keep me posted!!!
