10/29 is so close now. Plus I really like the little quote for the day. Adjusting my sails is absolutely right.
-
2 days. Technically one left. Surgery 8:30am on Monday.

Thanks everyone. I am ready.... getting my health on track is the most important. I work 8-4:30 tomorrow and I feel like at work I’m gonna be ready to get home already and get the ball going. At the same time I don’t want to come home and overthink things. We will see how tomorrow goes- then I got to come home take the shower with the special soap they gave me and get some sleep. At least try too. Hopefully I’ll have a friend with me. Otherwise I’ll be going alone and just making phone calls as I can to update people. As my family isn’t near me.

packing my hospital bag- getting ready. spending time with the dog. making sure the roommate has groceries why I am gone. Dropping off prescriptions I need after the surgery. its so real now!

10/29 RNY pre op jitters
BRYCE86 replied to BRYCE86's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone and good luck to all those going on Monday! -
Today I finished my pre op testing and appointment- its real, 5 days left before surgery, I cannot belive it has come so fast. What did people need at the hospital? What did you take? What were some concerns that would help to ask beforehand to avoid before being sent home? Things to ask doctors or nurses about? I am just extremely nervous feeling like I am missing things I will need, or mess something up pre - op. I have the jitters..... So preparing ideas, or anything encouraging right now would be aweosme. Thanks guys. ANyone else my surgery buddy on 10/29

Anyone else going on the bench this day? If so when are you starting liquids and going to soft foods? I would like to find someone with a similar date- to help hold me accountable, as well as for moral support. I am going to most likely head into surgery alone as my family lives out of town- and so I am a bit nervous about it. However I know it will be a great thing.

I am sure someone probably posted this before- but if not- Everyone should check out the hidrate spark bottle. I have the second generation and I love this thing. It connects to a phone app, counts your amounts for you- reminds you to drink throughout the day, and even flashes at you as a visual reminder if you aren't looking at your phone. I have been trying mine since I found out I was going to have surgery and I am way ahead in the water that I used to drink. I have a link if you PM for 10 percent off- but please know that I also get a percentage off my next bottle... If you aren't looking to order online, I found mine at Target in the USA- I am not sure about internationally. However this has been an amazing tool to use- and I thought it was worth sharing. Another great tool I bought that I am loving is the Tespo vitamin dispenser - again if you are interested I can send a link that I have to give you 20.00 off the machine or first order for friends. I am using the sleep pods and vitamins pre op and I am really loving sleeping through the night, and the energy pod does actually keep me boosted working. I will admit I haven't tried the bariatric formula yet- as my surgery isn't until 10/29/2018. I just thought I would take the time to share these two items, and let you know I find them pretty valueable. I do believe the only way to get Tespo right now for those who might as is online. Again I do not want to post links here in the forum- but if you PM me - I can send you refferal codes. Otherwise check the products out on your own, and see if they could be a tool for you on your journey! :) Also if anyone else knows of any other cool tools or things to use- please add to this topic. As I would like to find something to help with portions.

@Lynnlovesthebeach Thanks so much. Speedy recovery friends. I started 1/2 liquids this weekend. And Monday going full liquids. Today was mostly liquids. I had a few crackers and peanuts. I ate a veggie burger and milk shake - the bun and sugar carbs is what got me. But I hit over 120 protein and spent the evening walking disney hitting over 10000 steps in two hours or so. So I’m preparing. I am with Dr Txerirea. (Spelling) but I am so ready.

Can I just use the powders instead of all the boost and premade drinks? How do people on a budget do pre op. -
Not doing great in pre-op diet

I’m honestly struggling too. So much stuff is expensive. I find it hard to get all these protein drinks and things other people use. I’m on disability already. Are there some home remedies for this? Also Baritastic wants carbs lowered and everything i eat has them. How can I avoid then and get the highest protein? No fat. -
Some great choices - let’s keep it going. ;)
