Yup, seems pretty normal. On my 3rd day after surgery I had apparently pooed the bed just a tiny bit. Which I didn't notice at all. So I went to sit in my recliner. You know, just to spread the poo. It wasn't until my first big fart that morning that I realized a 2nd water balloon had just exploded out of me. Super pleasant. I had a leaky bum for about a week. Don't worry, if you're like me you will soon have some stellar constipation and then it should stabilize after a couple weeks. Long story short, it will get better, and it will get better quickly. Although, I'd listen to Fluffy and avoid the juice for a while.

Yes, I'm freezing. It was a hard shift from always warm to always cold. I imagine it will either get better, or I'll get used to it. I'm only 2 weeks post op right now.

Yes, I can totally relate. Before surgery, which was only two weeks ago, I was always warm. Now I am freezing constantly. At home I have a blanket on me everywhere I go and at work I have a thick jacket on. I'm still cold. Now I know how my wife feels.

Food Before and After Photos
Geodude replied to GreenTealael's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I used to eat an entire package of bacon, six eggs, and four pieces of toast in one sitting. I'd be hungry again by lunch. Now this is the remains of two scrambled eggs. I gotta say, I love the restriction. -
Pre Op quitting smoking cannabis
Geodude replied to oohhlalajessica's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, I stopped roughly 2-3 weeks before surgery. I used to be a daily user years ago, but now I've got a kid and I'm a weekend user. Today I'm 12 days post op and I smoked weed again for the first time since I ran out of my pain killers a few days ago. I was only using the pain meds once or twice a day. I'm feeling fine, and it is definitely a help with what bit of soreness I was experiencing before. You should be totally fine to continue use post surgery. I don't know that I'd still do daily since I imagine it can still increase odds for an ulcer. Although even a daily smoker of pot isn't taking in nearly the amount of smoke per day a cigarette smoker does. -
Now, I'm not a doctor, but I can't imagine one day will ruin your stomach. If it did stretch a little bit, I'm sure it will retract. It is probably through daily overeating that you really ruin everything.

Pre-op liquid diet during Thanksgiving
Geodude replied to jesseycakes's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow, well done not eating more than a bite. I'm lucky that I'm on my post op liquid diet. I don't know that I would have shown the restraint you did. Good luck. If you could handle today, you can handle anything. -
The Dreaded Holidays
Geodude replied to BeanieSprouts's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I feel for you all. I guess luckily, I'll still be on my Phase 1 diet on Thanksgiving. So, I don't really have to worry about eating smart. I'll just be sipping protein shakes. Although, I do expect to suffer from the smells a bit. -
Fluids after surgery
Geodude replied to HoneyBeBrave's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yeah, it definitely seems to be improving every day. I'm 6 days out and, while I'm still drinking small drinks, it is totally different than days 1-3. Every now and then when I'm not paying attention, I take a normal sized drink and my sleeve lets me know it isn't done healing. -
Yeah I was definitely Hangry, luckily my Liver Shrink Diet was only a week. I feel for those of you who have to go through Thanksgiving. I just had my sleeve on the 13th and even though my diet is even more restrictive now, it is so much easier. You'll definitely get through it. As to why your surgeon is being so much more strict than others, mine was the same way. Even post op, he is making sure we do every thing as slowly and carefully as possible. Try to see this as a good thing. It means your surgeon wants you to have the absolutely best chances of success. They aren't willing to compromise if it means lessening your chance of an easy recovery. Although when you're going through it (especially as long as you have to), it is grueling.

Today was my Sleeve surgery and I feel great (probably due to the pain pump). I am so excited to finally have taken such a positive step in my life. I can't wait to be able to sit in a chair without fear of breaking it. My son is about to turn two and now I can help to instill healthy eating habbits. I'm just so excited for the future. To share a success. I lost 20lbs from the liver shrink diet alone. Now just 50 more lbs and I'll be out of the 300's. Thanks for reading - Geo

Thanks so much. I will try to do exactly as you say. I've seen a lot of people on here who could really benefit from some words of encouragement.

Dang, I just found out that due to an issue with the OR, my surgery is being pushed back a week. I was already well into my liquid diet phase 😩 Oh well, still on its way, I just have to wait a little longer. My new surgery date is Nov. 13th. On the plus side, my insurance already approved my VSG, and I only needed to pay $300 for the whole thing. So I'm definitely feeling relieved.

I am also scheduled for Nov 6th. I'm really looking forward to being able to play with my toddler without running out of breath after 30 seconds of activity. I'd also like to stop destroying furniture.
