  1. Happy 42nd Birthday Julsco!

  2. Happy 41st Birthday Julsco!

  3. Hi! I was banded on May 6th, 2008. I was soooo excited to get banded. When I came out of surgury I was so uncomfortable. When I came home I was totally second guessing myself. I was so depressed and questioning why I did this to myself. I was crying all day long. All I kept saying was if I only did this the "Right" way. If I could go back in time I would buckle down and totally change my way of eating. Well, as a few more days pass those feelings started to go away. As I felt better and stronger so did my depression. Along with getting all the percocets out of my system. So to fast forward exactly 4 months later, I am down almost 40 lbs. I have NEVER felt better in my life. I go to the gym at least 4-5 times a week and I eat very healthy. I will be going for my 3rd fill on Monday and am hoping to get another supercharge! I promise you will feel better very soon. It took me about 10 days till I was myself again. As a fellow bandster once told me: "KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE"

    how much to eat??

i am sooo happy to hear that other people are in the same boat as I. I was banded on Tuesday May6th in NYC at Weill Cornell. Only clear liquids in the hospital. Today I was ablt to move on to mushie foods. For breakfast I had 1 tablespoon uncooked cram of wheat w/ 2/3 cup skim milk. For lunch I had the snack size container of cottage cheese and for dinner I am going to have 1 tablespoon of mashed potatoes with a very soft boiled egg. Thats the kind of things I was advised to eat. Also, tuna, salmon etc. Did anyone have major second thoughts right after the surgery. I was very sad for the first 3-4 days. Today i am feeling much better. Hoep to hear back form people in the same postion.

    New Bander

i was banded last Tuesday. 5/6/08. I was in a lot of pain after the surgury. When I got home I was a MESS. I thought I did the worst thing possible. I think i was VERY depressed from all the pain meds. Since yesturday soemthing just snapped and I seem to feel better physically and mentally. What kind of foods have you been able to incorporate. Today was my first day that I was able to move on to pureed. ie: cottage cheese, tuna, eggs chopped. Obviously very small portions. I am also drinking 1 atkins shake per day. My band was not filled at all during the surgery was yours???

    Day 4, Down 7

Hi Everyone. I am getting banded on 5/6/08. I am very excited to start my new life. I am also nervous. Many people seem to say that right after the surgury you are REALLY not hungry. Is that true? What kinds of food can you eat days after?? Does the love of food disappear or do you still think about "not" eating. Also, how painful was the surgury? How many days after were you able to drive? I know lots of questions!!!:confused2::confused2::confused2:
  8. Hi! New to this site. I am finding it very helpful reading peoples posts. Nervous and very excited at the same time!
