ME! I will be right there with you, but I have my sleeve on the 6th there are a lot of us going early in the month!

Congrats and good luck! I have to say your fancy chicken broth idea is great!

Good Luck and congrats, I feel kind of similar like so many others have a greater understanding of the process, or more education before surgery, not sure if it is because of insurance approvals, I am self pay so I only had to go through a series of appointments and 2 nutrition classes so I always wonder if I am missing something...

Alright another week down, I was awful this weekend, lost track of time and had a few things I shouldn't have had still didn't go crazy but can't keep excusing it now either... New week and today is my first day without the COFFEE... so so so sad, but doing well so far if I can get to Thursday I know I will be ok. Also I order a scale and it has arrived was opened and used, it is a start right? my wondercup measuring cup also arrived and looks amazing plan to start using that asap. I have been good about getting good carbs through veg and I think I am getting better with not drinking as well. All in all a couple set backs and some successes. how is everyone else doing?

Yesterday nothing was going right and I caved and because of time and ease I hit up a drive thru... I am not beating myself up I gave my self a little extra room trying to prepare for this life change, but I will say this, after eating well all week, that wrong meal left me exhausted and more hungry later... I think I start the preop diet on the 24th but was thinking of starting it on the 23rd after my final nutrition class before surgery... so we can all commiserate together!

100% I can relate to the fear of it not working, for me I feel like a good portion of my life has been dieting... I struggled for many years with infertility and I have PCOS and Ehlers danlos. All of those years (6) I took so so many hormones to be able to get pregnant, and afterwards my body is a mess... nothing has worked atkins, ww, boot camp... etc... my PCOS is out of control and my weight is out of control and I have been in a cycle of break a leg casted for 10 months pack on weight... I could go on and on, and did go on and on at nutrition to the point of tears, there is nothing about this journey from where we have to where we are going that has been easy. She was great though and supportive and said it was ok to be afraid and she has had others in my shoes and it has worked, it has helped them, on here I have found so many that have similar shoes and it is working for them as well. I read the sleeved life written by a patient and it really gave me a little easier of a perspective... I think making the changes already is going to help us... Nothing we have done to this point has been this different though right so I am choosing to believe that this will work. Also I think it was brave to mention the fear! I think it is hard to talk about and face!

Hi Everyone.... this Saturday marked the official 30 days out for surgery! I did my final goodbyes to anything junk related? I have continued to increase my walks and lowered my caffeine intake (just a little lol) so now per nutrition I am low carbs and lean protein... I am try to do the timing of what food should look like.... next week I am going to add in shakes for two meals to get ready for the liquid preop prep... how is everyone else... what are your goals for this week?

I think I am more excited than scared at this point, but I still have my moments of being scared too... I just want everything to go well.

I love everything about this esp the plane seat that is no joke!! I agree I can not wait to get this done!

Congrats and Welcome! I think 2800 is fantastic but my insurance is covering nothing lol so I may be a little biased. The way my cost is broken down is anastesia (pre pay is cheaper) surgeon fee and then hospital fee. It is a great feeling to get that date though and know it is about to be a reality! Congrats!

WOW!!! That is amazing, I have a toddler and a little nervous about recovery because she has a lot of special needs but this just made me feel very hopeful!! to say the least. It is awesome that you are doing this in a way together I am sure it will help you keep each other in check so to speak!

Hey there let us know about the Syntrax… I am doing Premier after surgery and was able to do It on amazon monthly delievery subscribe and save so about 15% off which I am excited about, and also ordered some ensure protein I was able to get a 24 pack for 30 which I didn't think was bad and my dr recommend pre surgery because lactose free.
-
did you get your 2 week plan? For the first ten days I am protein shake fruit and veggies, last two days I am pure clear liquids...

that is soooo good Disney will kick your exercise levels right up! so that is awesome! I too am dreading the caffeine withdrawl, I think that will be the thing I hold onto the longest kudos to you for doing that already!!! I really also must say Disney can lend itself to eating well they have some many options and the heat always makes me not want to eat! Have a blast!!

Hi Everyone end of the week check in wanted to see how everyone is feeling someone already bought up but we are 4 weeks away!!! I met with nutrition and set some pre-surgery goals all of them felt achievable. We reviewed the pre- op diet which will start officially on 10/24 for me! I have increased my walking to 30 minutes a day... next week I am going to set some pre portioned out foods and my shakes will come in. I have started reading cookbooks for gastric sleeve, also ordered a food processor, and strainer, and finally upped my water intake. How is everyone feeling?
