I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)

Wanted to share my before and after pics! While my weight loss has been less than a some bariatric patients, I have lost over 30% of my starting weight and as of today, have a healthy body fat percentage, for the first time since childhood! Still working towards my goal weight and healthy BMI!
  2. I’ve been a bit stalled lately, been stuck in the low 140s for about a month! According to my NUT my goal weight should be just under 120 lbs, so I’m a bit frustrated with the stall. Any tips to overcome a stall? I’ve decided to go back to basics this week - I’m doing liquids for the week and making sure I get all my protein, so hopefully that will get things moving again. BIG win for me last week. I was cleaning my storage unit and found 2 large suitcases filled with clothes that were too small for me a few years ago. I couldn’t bear to throw them out, and completely forgot about them. Finding them was so awesome! It’s literally saved me hundreds of dollars in shopping for clothes at my new size! Currently chilling in a pair of pants I haven’t fit into since high school, and it’s the greatest feeling!

You’re so close! You’ll be out of the obese category in no time. Just keep on doing what you’re doing!

When did you stop using shakes?

I’ve never been a fan of protein shakes, but I do love the quest protein chips if I need to supplement my protein. 20g in a little mini bag and they taste great. I also have protein gummies that I love.

And just like that, I am OVERWEIGHT!!! 29.9 BMI and still going down. Only 24 lbs to go before I’m a normal BMI! So exciting!

Need breakfast ideas - what are you eating for bf?

I am always in a rush in the morning because my bed is super comfy and I always oversleep. I usually go for a protein bar (Quest brand) are my favourite or a Mighty Muffin Bowl. Super easy to take on the run and healthy with lots of protein. If I’m having a luxurious morning - bacon and eggs
  7. I’m 2.8 lbs away from being overweight and I’m not stopping there! My goal is a normal BMI!

    beyond barre

Barre is INTENSE. I did my first class with BMI around 35. It was definitely very tough and I hated it. Then a couple weeks later I tried at a different studio and absolutely loved it.

    ❤Summer Body Routines❤

I’m 3.5 months post op and doing great so far. I never set foot in a gym before surgery, but I’m working on adopting fitness into my every day life now. My goal for 2019 is to do 300 exercise sessions which works out to 6 days a week. For January I did 32 workouts! I have lofty ambitions of 2 sessions/day but I give myself the grace I need if I don’t make it to the gym one day or only do one exercise session. I’m starting to see some muscle develop and I definitely feel more energetic and in a better mood, so that’s great. I aim for 2 workouts/day on the following schedule: Monday: Gym - Strength, Barre Class Tuesday: Swim, Yoga Wednesday: Gym - Strength, Zumba class, stretch yoga Thursday: Swim, Ballet Friday: Gym - Strength, Yoga Saturday: Swim Sunday: Yoga I’m taking it slow, most of my exercise is low impact. I was in a car accident last year and still recovering from my injuries. I am lucky enough that insurance is covering for my 3 gym sessions a week to be with a personal trainer and covering my gym membership to take all these classes.  Eventually, I want to get into running (I’ve always been terrible at it but everyone that really sticks with it eventually loves it), and also more intense cardio like jump rope, and core classes.

Hope your gallbladder surgery goes well. I had mine out 10 years ago, and haven't missed it a day since. I was in soooo much pain before it was removed, and it made a huge difference for me. I hope your experience is similar.
  11. I was sleeved October 2018 - about 3 months ago. I was self pay in Mexico, and although the surgery went well, I developed complications about 2 weeks out, and spent the next 2 weeks after that in the hospital. Since then, I've been slowly losing the weight. Haven't stalled yet, and have been able to do so much that I never thought I would have been able to do - things like buy a shirt in the regular section of the store, go to the gym and actually enjoy it, and wrap a towel all the way around my body after a shower. A few people have commented on my weight loss, but I'll be honest, that when I look in the mirror, I don't really see a difference. I'm about half way to my goal weight. Taking these before and after pics really helped me to see the difference, so I wanted to share them!

    Nausea instead of Hunger?

I didn’t know nausea can be a symptom of low blood sugar. I have been trying to limit my sugar intake, so that’s definitely a possibility. I’ll try eating at more regular intervals.
  13. I was sleeved 10/14. I was never nauseous before surgery. Now, things are different. I don’t feel hungry anymore, but when it’s close to a time for me to eat (for example when I wake up in the morning before I eat breakfast), I feel nauseous. Same if I have a late lunch - I will feel nauseous until I eat something. After I eat, nausea goes away. Problem is, I don’t have much appetite, nothing is appealing when you’re nauseous so it’s hard to force myself to eat a few bites to relieve the nausea. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Tips to relieve the nausea?

I’m in Canada and can’t find the sugar free pops ANYWHERE. I must have looked at 20 places or more. I’ve been making my own Mio-popsicles, and they are ok but I would love a real popsicle
