Has anyone used Dr Enochs? How was your experience?

I work out at Curves 4 times a week and the Fri-Sun I walk about 3.5 miles in about an hour each day. I am ready to start moving a little bit more as the walk is fun (hills and all) but the challenge is gone. I want to run. Something I thought I would never say in a million years. At 280 pounds I never had a hard time strutting myself in a swimsuit and lying out by the pool or beach. For some reason, I feel that I might look ridiculous running at about 195 pounds. I have never felt self conscious about anything when I was heavier. Not that I am over 80 lbs thinner I have a feeling everybody will be peeping out their windows starting at the big girl running. I am sure not, but it is all in my head. I know what to do this, I have downloaded several podcast for couch to 5k, bought good ruinning shoes and a sports bra. I think I need some reassurance from the 1st time runners and long time runners that you didn't gave a damn who was looking you. You just did it. I keep telling myself that....but I still have a little reservations about it. Any words of wisdom here?

Lost a pound this week. The hard part will be keeping it off and not gaining any. I will be at the beach all week long...my weakness...drinking my calories at night. I will give it a good try but I am sure I will indulge:blush:

That is not a good sign. I would call the doc in the morning and let him/her know your symptoms. You should be able to keep water down. Have you tried some herbal tea. Usually warm liquids help open things up a bit.

I have been there...twice. I think you are too tight and you might want to consider to get a slight unfill. You have to stay hydrated and you should always be able to keep Water down. My last fill I was able to keep water down but not thick Soups. I stuck it out for about a week, and then decide this is not how the band is supposed to work. You are supposed to eat normal foods - just smaller portions. Good luck.

I am in for a challenge. I really want out of the 180's. I have been bouncing around 185-187 for 2 weeks. Hopefully the scale can get moving again. I would love to be 175 by Halloween.

Good going Ebonyrose! This morning I was all pumped about my run and my iPod was not charged:cursing:. Instead if pouting about it. I decided to run as much as I can for as long as I can with OUT music. I ran for about 95% of 2.2 miles. I only stopped twice for about 45 seconds. I was so proud of myself Running without musics and with minimal breaks. Keep up the good work everyone! -

I lost 3 pounds this week due to an overfill. I got a fill last Wednesday and it was only .25 and they had to take out .2 due to the fact I could not eat anything solid.:wink2: So my fill was .05. I feel so much better. -
Hey gang, I am so proud of everyone's achievements on the scale and non-scale. I was a snug 26 last year and walked my dog around the block. I was lucky that I didn't have any health issues but they were heading my way. I can run for about 2 miles and getting better every week. I think I can wear 16 but still wearing 20's - too cheap to buy new clothes. I wear an XL top. My feet have gone down a size and my ring size has gone down also. No matter how big or small the weight loss might be, we all are healthier then we were last year!

Ahhh the new shoes are wonderful. Not that the old ones were hurting, but I feel good while running. I started week 4 last Friday and I was puffing. Today was a lot better. I usually stay on a particular week for about 2-3 weeks until I feel comfortable with myself and my breathing. Ebony - you are doing great. Just remember to pace yourself and don't rush into it. I usually take my time with progress to each week. Make sure you have a good pair of running shoes. Happy running everyone. -

When I 1st started this thread I had never ran before as an adult. I was so scared of what others thou gt of seeing an overweight person running and sweating and puffing. But Now - I run with confidence and each week I get better and I am getting stronger and more fit. I think running is one of the ultimate stress relievers. I feel so good after I run and really have a better day. Billoh - I am glad you were able to get run in before taking it all out on your co-workers. -

Good work Cathy! I did my Week 4 and it was 3 and 5 min running intervals with only 90 seconds rest walks between each. I did feel challenged today but that was a good thing. You get stronger with every run. -

I am down 2.2 this week. I have started week 4 of the couch to 5K podcast. Running for 3 and 5 mintue intervals kicked my butt this morning. I also splurged on good running shoes yesterday - no excuses about running. I hope everyone has a great weekend! -
So sad...I have more skin than I do boob. I am getting the girls done. I just need to find the money.

I think I am finally going to push myself and move up to week 4. I just got fitted for really good (and expensive) running shoes. I am excited to run tomorrow. For those just started running - keep up the good work:thumbup: -
I lost .5lbs in 2 weeks. I can not complain. Sitting in meetings and snacking on goodies will do that. Have a great weekend everyone.:scared2:

I can actually keep my A/C at 78 and not be sweating bullets.

Anyone lose any rings?
Claudine1975 replied to BillOh's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have ring guards on my wedding ring and had them for a couple of months now. I have also noticed that my watch slings all around my wrists - need a link or 2 taken out before I lose it. -
I use Benefiber in my water every day. And when things get "tough" I also add a small bit of Miralax. The seems to keep me pretty regular.

"HAPPY HOUR" with the Lap Band??
Claudine1975 replied to NewSexyMe's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I drink with my band and it does slow the weight loss because it is empty calories and also dehydrates you and you don't make the best eating choices while buzzed. Cold drinks some to bother me more then warmer i.e. red wine does. I just try to slow it down a bit now then I did before. Party on! -
what outdoor activities do you like to do?
Claudine1975 replied to livelife50's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I love to walk. I have also started a couch to 5k program and loving running for the 1st time. I think I will also invest in a bike soon. I think it is so great to be so active and actually enjoy it. -
Daily Plate really helps me. I had a loss of 1.4 this week. I have also moved to week 3 of my couch to 5K program. I never thought that I would run more then 30 seconds. I can run in 3 minute intervals. Have a great weekend!

Malissa, I am in no rush to finish the program in a certain about of time. I stayed on week 1 until I was comfortable running. I will be on week 2 for at least another week. There are killer hills in my neighborhood and I really want to make sure I am ready to move. I stay on a "week" for about 2 weeks and then I am ready to move on. Breathing gets better with time and practice. -
