    Oohh SoOO NERVOUS!!!

I have been using the protein bullets by New Whey. Each bullet has 42 grams - I half them and add Crystal Lite to water. I do this about 3 -4 times a day. I stay hydrated and get my protein in.

    INCREDIBLE Inspiration!

I once told my old boss that "I don't run unless a rabid dog is chasing me". Maybe I will change my mind once I lose some weight and walking gets boring.:w00t:

    Oohh SoOO NERVOUS!!!

I got banded last Friday and I can honestly say it was breeze. The anxiety leading up the the surgery it was is a killer. I woke up from surgery with little discomfort and the nurses eased that away with some pain meds that worked quickly. I am on day 5 and I feel ok. I am still on clear liquids until Friday and I don't feel hungry. I do miss eating just for the hell of it but that is what got me here in the first place. Try to remain calm - everything will be ok.:w00t:
  8. Crying was the better choice in this sitution Lisa. I was nine months pregnant when I had to look for a new job. It can be done. You will do it!!

I don't know what I will look like at this weight. I am sure it will be glancing into a mirrors every chance I get and prancing around - perhaps naked:w00t:

    Frustrated

Nina, I agree with the other posters about showing up in person. They can't ignore you and you are the customer. Good luck!

I'm one of the Banded now!!

I had surgery last Friday and yesterday was the first day I didn't need a Gas X strip. I have been taking walks in the morning and that seems to help. I had the gas mainly near my collarbone area, more on my right then on my left. But I have no pains today. Only a slight discomfort and I can't pick anything up from the floor. Good Luck to all the new bandsters.
  12. Surgery is a breeze compared to changing jobs. Focus on getting your band and a speedy recovery so that you can find your new job. Good luck to you!!

    My New Purchase

Yesterday afternoon before my nap, I noticed my fridge making a clicking notice. I dismissed it and took a nap. Two hours later upon waking, I went to grab a sugar free Popsicle. It was MUSH! My freezer was not working.:cursing:Urgh:cursing: I called the repair people and it will be a week until they can come and look it at. That is not going to work. I hauled butt to the nearest appliance store and bought a new fridge. So not in the plan this week. Later in the evening my husband said the refrigerator part was not keeping anything cool. Great! The whole damn thing is busted.:frown: Off to the neighbor’s house to pack their fridge with our food. The new fridge will be delivered between 2 and 4 today. On a lighter note – the Crystal Lite Cherry Pomegranate is YUMMY.

    Good Night's Rest

I had a great night’s rest last night. I was in little to no pain and I was able to toss from side to side with little effort. I walked my 2 miles this morning with great ease. I do feel a little light headed from not consuming a lot of calories. I think I am going to venture out today and look for a rolling computer bag. Currently, I only have a backpack style to carry my work lap top. That will not work going back to work. I am going to have bring my computer back to work on Monday and I doubt I am supposed to lift it myself. A lot of people on this board complain about the pain in the left shoulder. I don’t have anything in my left shoulder but my right side near my clavicle is killing me. I think I need to try the heating pad in that area. Oh, and the most surprising thing to me this morning. I look 7 months pregnant. Really, I do. From the front I look normal, I turn the side and my belly is poking up further then my DD’s. I know it is the swelling but jeez….I hope it goes down before Monday. I don’t want that rumor started at work.

How do you get enough protein?

I just been banded and I got my protein in by using the New Whey Protein bullets. I mix them with water. Each one has either 25grams or 42 grams of protein. I half the 42 gram one since most experts say you only absorb about 20-25 grams of protein at a time.

Sore and sorry for myself but it's done!

I am doing a lot better this evening. I am doing a lot better sipping on my broth and Protein Water. I walked 2 miles today and feel that the gas is pretty much gone. I am starting to feel a little hungry tonight but I can manage. Are any of you on the full liquids yet? My doc wants me to wait a week before starting them. How are all the August 4th bandsters doing?

Lap Band Surgery on Aug. 1

I was also banded on Aug 1st. I have been taking a couple of sips every 15 minutes. I bought a digital timer to help me remember to take the sips. I have been getting about 40-60oz of liquid in so far. It depends on my napping times:smile2:
