I am down 4.2 lbs this week. I think PB'ing on some canned peaches did me in on Monday. I had to eat Soup for the next 2 days. Exercise - 5 days at Curves Happy Friday! -
Stand Still or Still Loosing?

I am really tight in the mornings and can only have a Protein drink. For lunch I can barely finish a frozen meal and for dinner it is usually larger, but not by much. I can no way eat anywhere near 1000 calories unless I make poor choices. I go back Dec 15 and I may ask he Dr. what he thinks. I am satisfied with the amount of food. I did get on th scales today and I have lost quite a bit since last week. I think I am at my "sweet" spot and do not need a fill for quite some time. I used to be able to snack more and then my calories would be higher but I really don't have a desire for snacking - which is good. I kinda miss that I will not be able to "pig" out on Thanksgiving. But that is what got me here in the 1st place.:thumbup: -

I have been losing very slowly these past weeks and I am not sure if it is becasue I am really tight. I can eat most things but not much of them. I often get stuck if I don't chew well or eat too fast. I have to be very careful. I try to get all my protein in but, I can only eat about 500-600 calories on a good day. I am just wondering if I need to eat more to loss more??? -

I am down 3 lbs in 3 weeks. I am losing slow but steady. I think I am at a good place with my last fill. I have to be very careful what I eat and how fast I eat. My only issue is that I can only eat about 1/2 to 1 cup of food at meals and it doesn't last more then 2 hours. I have to work hard at not snacking and drinking more water between meals. -
Congratulations!!! Reaching milestones makes it all worth it.

I do use Lean Cuisines and WW meals for lunch at work. I eat the protein 1st and then the veggies. I rarely finish all and I try to stuck with the ones that only have a meat and veggies.

So, I went for my 3rd fill last Friday. What an experience that was. I was at 3cc's and she gave me 1 more cc for a total of 4cc's. I swallowed some water at the office and I was fine but I could feel the tightness in my chest. I was on my way home and I swallowed some water and then felt that horrible feeling when something is stuck. I thought how on earth could water get stuck:ohmy:. I rode for about another 10 minutes in some great discomfort. When I finally got home, I threw up the water. Hmm...that was just this beginning of the nightmare. I made some peppermint tea thinking that maybe some warm liquid would calm me down. Wrong move. Within 20 minutes I was rushing back to my doctor's office because I could no longer swallow my own saliva. I was in pain and I was scared. I rushed into the office and ran into the back. She immediately dropped what she was doing and laid me on the table. I got .6 cc's taken out and what a world of difference that has made. From now on I don't want aggressive fills. That was a scary and horrific experience being too tight. I would much rather inch my way up to the sweet spot as to not feel that pain anymore.

My starting weight in June was 280. I was banded on Aug 1st and so far I have lost close to 50lbs. 15lbs was pre-banding. My clothes fit differently but I am have a hard time seeing the change in the mirror.

It usually takes me about 20 minutes to get 1/2 through a meal. I don't get the full feeling as much as I get the I am tired of eating this cold chicken feeling first. I have some restriction only in the form of bite size, if I take too large a bite it gets stuck. But I don't feel the full feeling. I used to be the first one done at the lunch table and now I am the last one done.

My recent NSV has been collecting all my winter shirts in a trash bag at the bottom of my closet because they way too big for me. Last winter I was squeezing into a 3x and now 1x fits me with room to spare. I also went to try on some new pants this weekend. I picked up a size 20 for fun and a size 22 because that is 1 size smaller then I wear now. I tried on the size 20's 1st and they fit. They were snug, but I bought them anyway. I often see myself in the mirror as the same. It is hard to see the changes but the clothes do help convince me that I am smaller.

1 week out from that horrible experience and i feel much better. It took a while for things to settle down. I think I am at a good place right now. I can only feel restriction after I eat a little. I can no longer finish a frozen dinner at lunch. I am not sure I am at my sweet spot because I still get pretty hungry between meals. But so far, this last fill (including what she took out) is working pretty good for me. I just hope it can last until Thanksgiving. I think that will be a huge challenge for most of us. Instead on focusing on the .8lbs gained this week, I am going to focus on the changes that have occurred since August 1st. I think I will also start focusing on monthly changes rather then weekly. I still struggle with eating slowly when I am hungry. I have gotten stuck and PB'ed on occasion and it is not fun. I need to focus on chewing and taking smaller bites. I also have to learn not to eat just because there is food around. I have to listen to my stomach and not my head when it comes to hunger. Since August 1st I have lost 28lbs and lost 17.75 inches. I have so much energy and I don't feel as tired in the afternoons. I have gone down 2 dress sizes - I can actually button my pre-pregnancy jeans this morning despite being 15 pounds heavier since I last wore them. I continue to strive for workout out 5 times a week and eat healthy meals while not depriving myself. I am so happy that I have made the choice to get the band. It has made a huge difference in the way I feel about myself. Good luck to everyone in this life changing journey!

Thanks for all the great responses guys. Lellow - I sure do know what you mean by the ups and downs of the scale and always looking at the scales for validation of your weight loss instead of other cues around you. I am sure just about all of us feel a heck of a lot better being banded and making better food choices. Even when you don't have such good restriction yet, I find that you still make better choices and eat less then you did before banding. One of my co-workers said to me yesterday "this is the smallest I ever seen you" she was wondering what diet I am on since I have seen to stuck with it. I just said eating less and exercising every day. I am not up to telling people about my surgery because I do feel that is the choices that I am making that helps to loose the weight not necessarily the band. Sure, the band is a physical tool that helps me eat a lot less but I am the one make the choice to to have a ice cream shake and have a chicken breast instead.:regular_smile: I am also looking forward to traveling to California and fitting in an airplane seat comfortably and NOT having a seat belt extender!

Congratulations to your mom. I am sure you will be a huge help since you a little but ahead of her and you can help her when times get tough on that dreaded liquid phase.

I lost 2 pounds this week. I have exercised at Curves 5 times and will probably walk a little this weekend. Last week I went to my Service Awards dinner at work and they served chicken and beef with potatoes and veggies. I had sure proof that band works just be looking around my table and seeing how much people were eating and how fast they were eating. Pre-band I would have been the 1st person to finish everything on my plate. I was only able to eat half the chicken breast, no steak and 2 bites of Veggies. I did splurge on a Glass of wine before dinner. It was great to see that I am actually eating slower then the average person. You don't realize how slow you need to eat until you see someone scarfing the food down next you at the table. Good Luck to everyone and have a good weekend!:tongue: -
I stayed the same this week. I just went for my 2nd fill. I have only exercised 2 this week and eat out a lot. Overall, I am feeling great and I hope everyone has a great weekend and week!

I am down a 1lb this week. My appetite is back and I am not staying full for very long. I get my second fill next Friday. Exercise - Curves Smart 4 days a week and walking most days for a total of 6 miles. Keep up the good work everyone. -

Still hungry and no restrictions

I had my fill almost 2 weeks ago and I don't have restriction any more. It takes several fills to get to your sweet spot and that is when the weight comes off more easily. Until then, watch what you eat and try to make smart choices. I can honestly say, exercise has made a huge difference for me. Plus, it keeps me from wanting to eat in the evenings. Keep positive. We will all get there. -
1. I had to donate a trash bag full of clothes 2. My pants are huge on me - I can pull them down without unbuttoning them 3. My co-workers are trying to get me to go shopping - for new pants 4. I had to buy all new bras this weekend 5. My PJ's and comfy clothes are HUGE

I had pizza today. Not much of it. I had lunch at Brixx in Brier Creek and it is very thin crispy crust and I had a chicken and broccoli topping. I had to chew very well and eat really slow.

I have not bought new clothes yet. Thanks goodness for safety pins. I can pull my pants down without unbuttoning them - nice trick I discovered today.
