    I'm here to help...

    Happy Monday to everyone! Yesterday evening I got a little bored and wanted to eat/snack. Instead I went to Wal-mart and bought a Wii Fit. I have been wanting one and I thought - if you can jump on this and have some fun and get my hands away from the pantry door. I love it...I even woke up this morning and did some running, strength training and then some yoga. I will admit that it is not a tough workout, but it keeps you from sitting on the couch looking for something to eat. Tomorrow I get my fill. I can say that I am nervous about it. Deep down I really need it. Of course, my dept is going out for lunch on Wednesday:eek:. I ran to the Internet and picked out a place that has a tomato bisque Soup since I will not be eating anything solid in front of people just after a fill. Does anybody here do Curves and are you on their SMART program? I hope everyone has a good night.

  3. How long are you on the liquid diet? I didn't tell any of my co-workers either. I just ate Soup for lunch and they really didn't notice much. And if lunch was brought in or they wanted to go out - I just said that I was pinching pennies and eating my lunch that I brought. Good Luck!

    Thanks Apples! I did pretty good today in the snacking dept. I meet a friend for lunch and had a cup of chili and for dinner I had some tuna salad. It felt really good to be back on plan.

    Hey everyone! I thought I would join on this board for some support. I have been banded since 8/1 and have lost steadily until the 1st of the year. I have only lost 5 pounds since then. I still continue to exercise but the snacking has increased and the Water intake has been minimal. I am getting my next fill this Tuesday and I am excited and nervous about it. The last time I got a fill 10/08 it was way too tight. I have been scared of getting next fill but I really need it and I really need to get committed to the basics again. I have started tracking my food again and I am ready to get the scales moving again.

    Popcorn?

    I can eat a small bag of 100 calorie popcorn. If I am tight that day I can only eat about 1/4 of the bag and if it is a loose day I can eat all if eat. Just depends on the day.

    Onederland!!!

    Congratulations Cutie!!! Good to see you posting again. I am hoping to reach onderland with my next fill, I am so close I can taste it.
  8. First a little background....My last fill was a complete nightmare. I could not swallow my own spit by the time I got home and I had to turn around and get some taken out. That was last October and I have not been back since. I have been losing until February and then I plateau for a few weeks and now I am losing again. I know I need a fill because I am snacking in between meals and I don't ever have the full feeling and I am stopping eating on pure willpower alone...which will not last. I am scared of my fill coming up on the Thursday because I don't want to be too tight. I know I need this. I think I just need some encouragement and some reassurance that every fill does not equal in being tight. Anybody else ever been scared of getting a fill but know they need one?

    This is a great thread, becsaue even when the scales don't go down there are new things that happen to us that we forget about. I can cross my legs. Most of my co-workers (and people who I don't know at work) are noticing that I am getting smaller. I used to wear at tight 26 and now I wear a very loose 20, I think I am a size 18 but I am not ready to buy new clothes yet. Since it has been nice weather, my daughter has been riding her bike after we have dinner. She rides quite fast and I have been running to keep up with her. I thought I would never, never run in public. I have bought a new swimsuit and I am looking forward to swimming. Keep posting and remember the scales don't tell the whole story.

    Seventh time's a charm?

    Oh yes...the memory of being in a plane for 4 hours...in a little teeny bathroom. Yeah, I have learned to do liquids before and during airplane time. I got stuck so bad I couldn't swallow my spit until we landed. NOT GOOD:cursing: Lanakila - I am glad this fill has made a difference and I hope it stays with you for quite some time:tt2:

    OMG..being stuck is traumatizing

    Being stuck is a very horrible experience. I once eat some chicken and then got on a plane. I am not sure if it was the plane pressure or what I ate, I was stuck for over 4 hours in the plane bathroom. They even let me stay in the bathroom while the plane was landing. Horrible horrible!!:thumbup: I have learned to do liquids while flying and I travel about once a month. After that experience, I have been scared to get a fill. Luckily, I was at my sweet spot, but I have stopped losing and need a fill. I have to convince myself that I need it and to stick to eating like a bandster. Be mindful and chew.
  13. Hey There! I have been okay. Struggling a little bit recently. I know I need a fill but I am travelling so much with work that I am a little scared to get one and have an issue with co-workers. I have been losing and gaining the same 3 pounds for a while. I do have a appt on March 26. I will have to get a fill by then. How are you doing? Band life been good to you?

    6 month Bandiversaries

    I have lost a total of 67 pounds all but 15 or so came from the band. Since the band with exercise I have lost: 4.5 inches from my bust 2.5 inches from my waist 4.5 inches from abdomen (the pouch area) 5 inches from each thigh Size 24/26 to a size 18/20 I am actually looking forward to warmer weather so that I can start walking and swimming again. I will NEED a new swimsuit, I have had the same one for 5 years.

    Friday Morning Weigh in - 23rd Jan 2009

    Down 1.2 pounds this week. We had some snow this week and I was not able to exercise that much this week. I find that if i am stuck in the house, head hunger and I do battle pretty often.:tt2: Have a great week!
  17. My feet balloned up to a 7.5W (after having 1 kid and gaining weight) and now I am a 6.5 and I still have some weight to lose. I think for sure you have a samller size after losing weight.
  18. I am down 2 pounds. I think I am at my sweet spot. I have only had 3 fills and I am 3.4 cc's I was filled to 4ccs last November and was way too too tight. I am a little scared of getting another fill. So far I have been losing so I don't think I need one. BTW..I went to my Dr. yesterday and they are pushing you have to eat something solid for Breakfast. I can't. I can have something like applesauce but that is about as solid as I can get with out feeling uncomfortable. Can you guys eat solids early in the morning?

    I'm Gurgling...

    I have been gurgling ever since I had my 1st fill in the office. I have not noticed any rhyme or reason to it. The other day I drinking and my husband heard it in the next room. :confused: A little em brassed by the noise, but I still love my band!

    Friday Morning Weigh-In: January 9, 2009

    I have not posted my weight for about a month. I got down to a all time low of 218.8 on December 6th and then the holidays came and I drink my weight up to 221.4. I stayed off the scales after that because I did not want to see the number. Back on the wagon this week and now I am .....217.4. I am so proud of myself for getting the Holiday weight off!:confused:

    BMI boderline BCBC of NC

    I am a little nervous today. I just bought my first scale and my BMI is 49.6. BCBS of NC said they will cover lap band with a BMI of under 50. 50 and over will need a more drastic measure for losing weight - like the bypass. I so don't want a by-pass. My first appt is Tuesday and I hope their scales are no higher then mine and the round the BMI down to 49.
  23. No weight loss and no weight gain. I am stalled and I know a couple of reasons why....I need a fill (appt is in January), I have not exercised as much as I should and I have been so busy at work. I am looking forward to the holidays and making good choices. Have a good week everyone!
  24. I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks (didn't weigh in last week). I have had no exercise and I have been traveling all this week. I wisely choose salmon and veggies:thumbup: while everyone was raving once beef brisket:drool: in KC, MO. I wish everyone a great week!

    Last of 2008 Weight Loss Challenge

    My year end goal has been meet. I set my goal at 225 and as of this morning I am 222.8. I just hope to maintain though the Holiday Season.
