Nina - Great JOB!!! You are so talented. I like the one with the beating star the most. How de we add that o our signature line. I had the HARDEST time adding the one I hve now. I hope this is easier. I am with you on the hormone thing. I have an IUD and I don't get a period. But I get moody for no reason sometimes and I don't know if it is period hormones or me just getting moody. -
No harm done Nina. We are all in the same boat her and share a special bond. Soon we will be all sharing stories of the best broths and protein shakes in town.

Moonandstraz - I would love to see some of your work as an alternative to the glittery style. I agree - most men are not into glitter:wink2:. I just have the glitter thing going beacue I was determined to make it work and it took me a freakin' hour. I am not the good with computers despite working on one all day long.

What did I do today....I went to work and resisted the homemade ice cream cake during birthday time. I socialized and smiled and made a quick exit before anyone noticed that I didn't have any cake. I am full of nerves and butterflies as Aug 1st gets closer everyday. I have finshed all the pre-op work and I don't have a pre-op diet except clear liqudis the day before. I have a loving and supportive husband. I have a 3 year old daughter and A 6 year old Black Lab is my walking partner. I am thankful that I have met so many supportive people here.:cool2:

Vegasgirl - I do agree with you totally. We do all need to get along here. MoonandStarz - I have to say that I had a hard time reading your banner and I didn't quite make out the slimers part until you stated in a post. You are creative and you put a lot of hard work in creating your signature. I think the part where you are here first does not give you rights to creating the August name. We all should have a say no matter who was first.

Hi fellow All - Stars. My surgery is 15 days away and I am nervous. Today is the 1st day it actually hit me that I am actually having WLS. My stomach is in knots and feels like butterflies are flying around. The weird thing is - I don't know what part I am actually nervous about:confused2: I guess other then marriage and having a baby this pretty high up there for living changing events for me. Anyone else feeling this way? -

Vote for the August name...
Claudine1975 replied to soontobehottie's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thanks for getting this poll together. -
I have no idea how to create a poll here. Does any one know how to?
-
I think it is time to put all the names on the poll and we have up until July 31 to pick and design one. What do you guys think?
-
For those who are banded by Dr. Enochs, what size band does he use? I just had my results visit and I forgot to ask him about the band size.

Who's Getting Banded in August???

I like August All-Stars and I like the glittery star idea. -
I have allowed myself the "farewell" tour of not so good food - but only once a week and limit to one meal. This weekend I am spending my $50 gift card from the Outback Steakhouse:drool: I have it since Christmas and I know I will not use it after being banded. I have lost a little of weigh by myself before the band and I don't want to gain anything back.

Please send me the link...I would love to join!! -
My BCBS policy did not cover BMI's 50 and over. I dieted like hell before my 1st appt with the surgeon and came in at 49. I suggest you try find your benefits on-line and read the qualifications and requirements. I did not have to do the 6 month diet. I just had to provide the 5 year weight history. Not all BCBS are the same.:wink2:

Years of struggle with my weight
Claudine1975 replied to TravelLady48's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Anne, Only you can make the choice to be banded. There are a lot of advantages to losing weight and keeping it off. I am sure most of us here are capable of losing the weight but the real struggle is keeping it off. I have high hopes that the band will help me lose and keep the weight off. I wish you luck! -
Tell us about yourself
Claudine1975 replied to skinnyoneday's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My name is Claudine. I live in a very small town outside of Raleigh, NC (but aI did group in NYC - Queens). I am married to a wonderful man for almost 7 years. I have a 3 year old little girl who is the light of my life. I work in the International logistics field. My weight has always been an issue with me for as long as I can remember. I can't wait to be a BIG loser  -
Shhh...Keep it in the Closet!?
Claudine1975 replied to aprilapple's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am also from the south, North Carolina, and in my family it is all about the food. I tell my Grandmother that I am coming over for a visit and the first thing out her mouth is "What am I going to cook for you?" I have never had an Holiday, Birthday or special event without food being the main topic. My family thinks I am fine the way I am because I am a mirror image of all the women in my family. I am determined that I don't want to mirror the joint or health issues they have. I also have a daughter and I want to break the cycle of food driven events. We Celebrate holdiays doing anything other then eating. When the weight is coming off I will just tell people that I eat a lot less and excercise a lot more. Which is true. -

Claudine1975 replied to twinsister's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I saw Lisa at her Wake Forest office. She was great and I really liked her since she had WLS herself she can identify with her clients. I wish you look in getting everything you need done. -
Did your Doc require a pre-op diet?
Claudine1975 replied to whosthatgirl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My doctor does not require a pre op diet. Only clear liquids the day before and nothing red or purple.
