    April Bandsters, anyone?

:tounge_smile:it didn't hurt me but it did feel unconfortable. Can't wait until my 1st fill. I fill like I can eat any amount (i don't) and eat anything except bread. only 4 weeks after surgery.

    April Bandsters, anyone?

:smile2:got banded April 6, my doc in Pensacola wanted me on 2 week clear liquids, 2 week full liquids and then 2 week soft foods. Today is 4 weeks and I stepped it up a bit and haven't had any problems with soft foods so far, even some "hard" foods like a hambuger patty. I just chew the heck out of everything. I lost 27 lbs the 1st 3 weeks but have hit a plateau the last (been eating more regular foods also) but haven't gained anything. I don't feel any restriction except sandwhich bread. My 1st fill is on the 20th of may hope to get more restriction.
  5. I found this works for me. At home no problem, at a resturant they generally bring water to everyone so I let it stay but only wet my lips as I am eating and not drink from the glass. I guess it's the habit not the actual water I crave.
  6. I got approved by BC/BS of Alabama. I had to do 7 months in my program. They were very strict by what had to be in every months weigh in session. A statement by the Doc documenting that I chewed 20-30 times, put my spoon down between each bite, parked my car in the far parking lot, etc. etc. My Lap Band team out of Pensacola, fl were very good and made sure my documentation was perfect. It had to be done for each session without skipping a month. Good luck Ps The insurence companies are so shortsighted.... they don't relize with this procedure they won't have to pay for heart operations or other more costly procedures or meds in the future.
