Good morning. Quick question.... did you notice with this weight loss surgery that you got overly emotional? Like I literally feel pregnant. I'm crying one minute, pissed off the next then laughing hysterically. I'm wondering if I'm losing my mind or if it's the beginning of some hormonal changes. [emoji20] [emoji4]

So I'm currently taking optisource 2x a day. I'd like to not have to chew everything. They taste awful. Has anyone tried this multivitamin in the pic? Just curious if it is worth the money and how the absorption is. Tia

Thanks for your response. I just ordered some and they sent me a free order of sea salted Carmel calcium chews. I'm gonna give them a try as well. Hope they are as good as they sound.[emoji4]

Thanks. I think I'm gonna give them ago. Just had blood work done and am waiting for the results.

Exactly!

So, before I had the surgery I was told my weight loss would be slower than others do to multiple medical issues causing hormonal issues including a benign brain tumor. My question is I'm only 3 weeks post OP and it seems to have come to a halt. In fact I gained three lbs. I have been following the plan as prescribed. I just introduced salmon, shrimp and eggs. Has anyone else felt with this issue so early on ? Any advice?

The Importance of viewing the "Whole Picture"
prkitty replied to Matt Z's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
My son actually had me do measurements and told me to stay of the scale. He bodybuilds. I'm going to keep measurements from now on. I don't know if I can stay off the scale as that is the number the EVERY doctor goes by. It did start moving today. I lost three lbs. I'm still going to work on my water 60 ounces is still a struggle and continue to track nutrients. I'm going to continue to go to the gym as well and take joy in small achievements. Such as I have ankles now, lol. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and letting me vent. -
The Importance of viewing the "Whole Picture"

I'm glad I saw this. I'm still in a stall after only three weeks post OP. It's difficult not to be frustrated. Especially when I'm following the prescribed diet and exercising. Thanks for sharing. -
Mine still hasn't picked up. My doctor says that's normal and to just keep doing the diet. I'm gonna start going to the gym today and try to have faith and patience. Good luck to you and please let me know when yours has picked up again.

Awesome.... thanks. I'll be writing that on my list.

Probably bc it's really bread I miss. Gotta find healthier substitutes when the time comes.

I can't have beef or chicken yet unless pureed. But you are right anything that consistency and vegetables without a hard skin. I had butternut squash noodles the other day with sauteed shrimp. I didn't mean to make it sound like those were my two only options. I just miss carbs.
-
I'll have to try that as soon as its allowed. I can only have seafood and pureed meat (eww). Thanks for all your help.
-
I know. It's so discouraging. Especially when I want pizza and carbs but I'm teaching myself to make better choices.

I have an appointment scheduled this week. I'll probably address it with them then. Thanks so much.

Thanks.... I'm so paranoid and have become a slave to the scale. Just found my tape measure and am going to get my measurements to monitor. I have been freaking out the last few days about the scale. Wish I could go to the gym but still feeling a pull and some pain. I have been walking daily. Guess, I need to learn to relax some. [emoji4]

Lol well thankful for that but it's only day 8. I hope these hormones sort themselves out to a manageable level soon. [emoji4]

When did it start? I can't be like this for six months..no offense. I really hate feeling like this.
-
Lol thanks..... I don't know what the rules are about men in the girls room but I appreciate knowing I'm not the only one whose emotionally off. [emoji4]
-
Hope so. Thanks [emoji4]

Lol glad to know I'm not the only one it's happened to. Misery loves company and all that lol [emoji6] Be glad when it steadys out a bit.

Thanks. I figured as much, just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one. I already had a bunch of hormonal imbalances due to a brain adenoma, Pcos etc, etc. ..so I guess I knew it was coming just not this soon. I'm only post OP day 8

Honestly and I know this goes against current trend of a smooth shaved area but try clippers vs shaving with a razor. Keeps it neat and clean without the bumps and irritations that can lead to infections and odors. I'm only post OP day 8 but this is what I recommend to patient's I've taken care of and they've been happy with results.
