For me I believe that it is just a force of habit. Especially when I get home. Before I got on the band a year ago I would do good at work because I didnt have any temptations, but as soon as I get home I would just pig out! Now..since I really cant seem to completely fight the urges sometimes...I eat something nutty or good for me instead of the late night pizza or ice cream or roast sandwiches I used to eat around 10pm. So dont feel bad cause you cant break the habit, just change what you eat at night. You can eat all you want just eat healthy. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Anyone want to fess up to nasty habits and try to work on them together!

Ok here is the recipe LOL 1. Take about a couple of handfulls of grapes wash and do not dry 2. Put them in a plastic container 3. Take a dry packet of sugar free jello. 4. Pour the packet of jello in the container with the grapes. 5. Add a small amount of water. Just enough so that the jello can coat the grapes and somwhat dessolve some of the jello. The powder coats the grapes, but sometimes can be too much on one grape. 6. Shake! Shake! Shake! 7. Put in freezer. 8. Take out and enjoy. -

Denying myself from eating at my desk just didnt work for me. So instead of eating cakes, pies, chips, pretzels all through the day I now eat carrots, fruits, nuts etc... Don't deny yourself just change what you are eating. I figured if I chaged what I ate instead of just stopping it would work and it has. If I want something sweet to eat I take some washed grapes and mix in a pac of my favorite sugar-free jello, shake it up in a plastic container put it in the freezer at work and when it becomes cold eat it! OHHHHHH its soooo good and it wonderful for a summer snack! (Im sure you could do this with pretty much any fruit!) TRY IT! -
Your band is probably to tight. You also have to really chew your food. Your portions should be the size of a fingernail. Little bites. Chew...Chew...Chew. You will have a strong battle with "HEAD HUNGER" I know I did. I really had to pay attention to what my stomach was saying and not what my head was saying. Ask yourself after a couple of bites....Am I really still hungry or is my mind just telling me I am? You will begin to notice a difference. By taking small bites you are actually giving your mind a chance to catch up with your sensors to realize that you are full. Pretty neat but frustrating. This will cut down on the sliming if your band is not to tight. Also Drink some warm liquid if you start feeling like your going to slime. The warm liquid loosens the band.

Does everyone get a shot in the stomach?
hotlips40215 replied to MissieLyn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to take shots at home for two weeks! They were also for blood clots! I believe it was called Lovatar and they were premade from the pharmacy. It was kinda difficult the first time and it made me think....I could never be a diabetic! So I just gritted my teeth and shot myself for two weeks. My BMI was 51 so that made me high risk for blood clots. -
You are not drinking enough liquids. You have to drink at least 64 ounces of liquid. Especially to get rid of the fat and waste that your body will produce while loosing the pounds! Drink Drink Drink
