  2. Oh godh@sideeye I'm really sorry. What a blow. My hubby's friend experienced something similar not long after her marriage and it was heartbreaking. She's in a nursing home because she's not really ever recovered and it's just so hard to believe it could happen to someone so young. You are a true friend! Daniel Fast...

Oh fasting is brilliant - it's such a fabulous way of reminding ourselves to be grateful for all the food luxuries we have on a regular basis, and a special time to get closer to God. Perhaps make a prayer that this will be for His sake and ask protection from any possible ill effects. Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sadness

I'm sorry you're going through a rough patch. Is the depression all the time of does it come and go? You've had a tough time with your gallbladder especially so it's not surprising you are feeling blue. Have you considered doing some cognitive behavioural therapy? It's a method that helps address the thoughts that affect your feelings and behaviours and gives you tools for how to deal with them. *hugs* you've come through some major changes to your body and are on the track to better health! ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

I don't have a lot of pictures to offer really. I cleaned the kitchen; went for a walk each evening with my hubby; joined an online Qur'an recitation class; watched telly and did a bit of shopping Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

How I Eat Now: - if a recipe calls for sugar, I use Candarella - I put (and order) skim milk in my coffees - I put the protein on the fork first (mostly) - I weigh what I put on my plate or bowl - I make a little baggie of 1 cup of air-popped popcorn with a spray of rapeseed oil and a teaspoon of Candarella all mixed up and take that to the cinema instead of buying movie popcorn - I don't drink with my meals and for at least half hour afterwards - I use a small plate or bowl and small cutlery - I try and space my mouthfuls out (leaving 30 seconds in between) and chewing it well Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

Righto so it wasn't so much stop, drop and chug as "go upstairs and find something to put on, and, no that angle makes you look fat, try another one, and chug [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

Make sure to do all the non-meds stuff to help bipolar too, like getting good, consistent sleep, get some outside fresh air time, journal your thoughts and moods etc. Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

Recipe: gosh, this is tricky, mostly coz all my good ideas are from others here on BP. My favourite breakfast is: 100 gm nonfat Greek yoghurt 8 red grapes 8 blueberries 10 gm granola 1 cap of sugar free syrup All mixed together My goto easy lunch or dinner: In a pan with 1 tsp oil, stir fry: - Cabbage sliced up into thin strips - A couple garlic cloves crushed or chopped finely - some mange tout or green onion or zucchini sliced up Cook until soft, then remove from pan with slotted spoon. Then in same pan, stir fry some prawns or scallops for a few minutes with a shake of garlic powder, a shake of onion powder and some salt and pepper. Add the cabbage back in, toss, then serve and eat! Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

    Atlantic article

I'd like my broken leg to heal, but putting on a plaster-cast feels like giving it up, taking the easy way out. No, I'll wrap it in bandages, and try not to walk on it as hard as I can.

    Advise on supplement routine

Sorry, my bad, 90 quid for a six month supply but that's just for the multivitamin. I buy iron separately from the chemist. Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

How I'm keeping on plan: - like lots of peeps I log everything that goes into my mouth, even the naughty teaspoon of Lidl 'proteinella' (SF Nutella alternative) I had whilst cooking tea. - go on BP and another FB support group to get inspiration - tell my hubs my weight (mostly coz it's exciting to announce I've lost another half a kilo etc) - trying to make healthy options available if I crave something, like these really nice sweet peppers I found and Babybel cheeses for when I just need something in my mouth - using skim milk instead of regular milk. This one's hard because I truly miss full-fat milk. Sent from my SM-G930F using BariatricPal mobile app

  25. Sounds pretty good - I'd go completely keto (no sugar, carbs) a couple of days before the surgery because depleting the liver of sugar stores is what makes it flexible and easier for the surgeon. But other than that sounds good. Good luck hon!!
