What is the most powerful, gut-exploding laxative I can buy OTC?
iattcom replied to Donna4545's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink 16 oz of water with 1 tablespoon of Metamucil every night and every morning I have a regular visit to the toilet after going 3 weeks with almost nothing. The first time I did I lost 3 pounds I was so excited! -
How long after surgery before you returned to work?
iattcom replied to MikeIL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I work in a call center so we have to maintain stats. I knew I would not be able to maintain them on the liquid diet so I took a week and a half before my surgery and then four and a half weeks half weeks after for a total of 6 weeks and I started back to work on a Wednesday so I only worked a half of a week and then I had a weekend off and now I am on my first full week back at work. -

Ellie123 we all want to work with you, can you tell. 😀 you would have the hardest working staff in the world 🌎 and you of course would have to be the president of the company because you are the one who knows what it does. We just all want to travel and be you. 😀 -
I can totally understand that. Mine eats in front of me and worries every time about it bothering me even when I tell him that it doesn’t. We go shopping together and I get the few things that I can have and the rest of the grocery budget is for him. 😀

I am going to make some chicken noodle soup with canned veggies and baby pasta and lots of seasoning in it so I can freeze it. I start back to work on Wednesday and I have to have stuff I want to eat there.

I can eat 5.5 oz of yogurt without any issues. I can drink at least one or two protein shakes a day and I am trying to drink my water. I am still having trouble introducing more solid foods. I have been successful with one or two pieces of canned vegetables.

Those look awesome. I wish I could eat like that. I have only had today a yogurt and a protein shake and I am working on getting as much water as possible after throwing up all day yesterday I just wanted to give everything a rest. -

After throwing up all day yesterday I weighed in at 340.4, and today I am drinking only liquids. I have had only coffee and a protein drink so far. I have water to sip on constantly as well. -

I am at a strange place. I can eat salmon, and tuna as long as they are really moist. However, it seams every time I eat it never fails that I throw up 🤢 within a few hours. I it only happens when I eat fish. I guess I need to stop eating fish. I love it. I can eat it, I just can not keep it down. It took about an hour and a half for it to come up this time, however, it came up. -

What exactly is a stricture? I have read that so many people have had one I am just wondering what it is and how to tell if you have one. -

Megen lose skin is what I an full of. I wish I could do something about it all, not being able to walk very much makes a difference in what kind of exercise I can do. I really wanted to join a gym except that all of the ones here in Oklahoma are not really user friendly or affordable. I keep hearing about one at work that I guess I am just going to have to go and check out. -

Ellie123 looks like you made great choices at the store and will have everything you need to have a successful trip. -
I went to Oktoberfest and walked around for about an hour and a half, I had a sample of sauerkraut (and when i say sample I mean only one or two strings) and a sip of pumpkin beer, it was interesting. My knee did not like all of the walking however, I did all of it, I did try to get a ride from the entrance to the shuttle and I could not get anyone to assist with that. I walked the whole way. My knee was so sore. I came home and I actually was able to do some peddling for 10 minutes after I rested for an hour. I drank a protein shake before I left and had water at the fest, I had cottage cheese when I got home. I am a little sore, but I survived. The whole day is a NSV for me.

Cool names thanks for sharing everyone. How goes recovery or your fasting, whichever level you happen to be on? I am going back to work on the 31st. I am so ready.

My surgery date is coming
iattcom replied to CRD1981's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am hanging in there, I have started eating real food, it may only be cottage cheese and refried beans, but it is real food. I am not getting enough water I know I need to drink more and I need to drink more. -
Just had lunch and at 1:15 I will be able to have my first protein shake for the day

I love this thread it is a reminder that we have to not take things so seriously and we need to take a minute and laugh at ourselves. Thank you to whoever started this.

Ellie123 I said a prayer for you today and will continue to do so til I see you are well and home again. Can I pray for anything else for you and your family? -
I have just read all 12 pages of this discussion and I must say it was quite entertaining. I can understand everything that everyone was saying and why everyone was saying it. First, when you reach out with what you think is a real question that has been asked a thousand times before and all you have to do is a simple search of the archives to see if it was asked before, it can be frustrating for the person giving the answers. If the question is better asked of the doctor’s office don’t be surprised if that’s who you are told to call.

I actually ate one bowl for dinner and a bowl the same size of cottage cheese for lunch. I drank one and a half protein shakes today and have not had any water because I didn’t get up until after 12:00 today and after my shower I had to have my coffee. Then I had to wait 30 minutes before I could eat, and after I ate I had to wait another 30 minutes before I could drink the protein shakes.
