GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +
iattcom replied to Frustr8's topic in The Gals' Room
I was 383 before I started my program and had RnY on 8/26/18 I am 10 pounds away from my first 100 pounds down and it is so surreal. I have had to get different pieces of new clothing and take in some other pieces. Most of the people in my life have all been supportive of all of the changes. That has helped tremendously. -

On Wednesday I had my biggest scale victory I entered 2vill and I have only been waiting for that since before Christmas. I was close then, hovering at 308-310 and finally broke through and this morning I weighed in at 297. I am so stoked!!!!!! -

Hi my real name is Gayle and I am new here my name here is IATTCOM which stands for "It's about time, taking care of me" Both of my parents died at the ripe young age of 55 and I am currently 54, I would like to out live them. My husband and his family are my support group as well as several of my friends. My own family however is divided. some of them care and some do not. I am moving forward in spite of everything. I am taking care of me. I am scheduled for my surgery on September 26th, and I am on my liquid fast right now. I have been on my caffeine free coffee for the past 3 months and it is not bad, the worst part of the fast is that I can only have one cup, I am used to having at least 3 or 4 cups a day. Of course this is only temporary.

I cleaned out the closet and have a full Pampered Chef box of clothes and today I will be cleaning out the dresser. I also have a separate bag of tops for my sister in law who is larger. I went to my orthopedic doctor today and he is very pleased with my success and will put off knee replacement surgery as long as shots continue to do good for me. Scale victory wise I started out at 380 and as of this morning I am at 304. Surgery was on 9/26/18

I have to work Christmas Eve however most of the office is closed for Christmas and then I am off on Wednesday and Thursday, I am glad for that. The office had a party for us and then they will serve a meal for everyone who has to work that day. I have had two secret Santa sessions in the first one I got a great new blender bottle, and in the second I got two hand soaps for my bathroom. I also got another blender bottle and meal prep bowl set from another coworker. All useful and thoughtful gifts so far.

What did your hair look like when it grew back
iattcom replied to notmyname's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had long thin hair and at about 4 weeks out it started coming out really badly so I got a pixie cut. It is only hair an it will grow back. It cut out all of the gray I had going on at the time and I am waiting to see what it does. -
I have had the pleasure of having to dress a new body as well and now have the problem of needing a taylor I have a beautiful wool purple coat that is full length and it was a gift from a friend who was larger then I was. When I first received it, it would not button all the way, now I can wrap the point where the buttons and the button holes are where the pockets are. I want to get it taken in instead of purchasing a nw one.

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
iattcom replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What kind of surgery did you have? I had the RnY and I was told that the caffeine would have a negative impact on my healing and on the work of the process I switched to decaf and I drink as music as I want, whenever I want. -
@MissPoodle, I am not even able to do that at this time. The arthritis in my left knee is so bad that if I think about trying to walk anywhere my body sends me nasty messages. Right now all I am able to do is peddle at least 10 to 15 minutes a day.

3 1/2 years old - new health challenges ... ugh.
iattcom replied to MrsKarenC2008's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And if anyone is needing a meter to check their blood sugar with that the test strips will not break the bank with, Walmart has the Rely On brand which is their brand for only $15 and the strips are only $9 for 50. They are not covered by insurance however they are still the most affordable of all of the meters and strips. -
I am still wearing my 6X jacket at work because they keep it so cold 🥶 here I think I am still wearing it just to be able to hide the changes from everyone until I adjust to them

325.2 as of this morning, a little bit of a stall bot not the end of the world. If I could get my 💩to be consistent it would help. I drink 16 oz of miralax every night in the hopes of a regular trip to the bathroom in the morning. For a while there it was working and now it is hit and miss. Sometimes I can still go 2 or 3 day without a regular visit. -

Now I pack in little bowls and I still do not want it to go bad. It all has to be eaten and I use a baby spoon to eat with. Tomorrow will be two months and I am down almost 60 pounds -

I am still here lurking and posting from time to time when I feel like I can contribute, today I decided I needed to clean out the fridge and instead of making my husband have two or three of my 1/2 cup bowls I had to attempt to eat them and promptly made myself sick. Guess I got what I deserved I know I can not eat that much that is why it is in a 1/2 cup bowl in the first place. -
I was able to have some turkey that I cut into tiny pieces and I had maybe 1 or 2 bites is stuffing and homemade mashed potatoes and the roasted veggies and all of the leftovers that were sent home were meal prepped into bowls for lunch’s for the weeks to come

CVS has some and I get my bulk supply from Sam’s and Cosco

@shoregirl75 a loss is a loss take it as a win. I am almost 8 weeks post op and have had days when the scale bounced up and down the same 2 oz for 3 or 4 days it was very frustrating.

So I am trying not to be a pest to everyone with my hohum drum boring life I have broken the 330 mark and am proud to say that yesterday I weighed in at 329. I was so excited. I have lost a total of 54.9 pounds from the day I first went to the clinic and 30 pounds from my surgery date. I have had ups and downs. I am back at work now and have been for a few weeks now. My knee is not liking me much but I peddle every morning before I go to work so it makes it a little better. The protein at work is the biggest challenge.

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
iattcom replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Frustr8 is there a Sam’s club or a Cosco type of warehouse store where you are? That is where I get most of my flavors from, and they always have at least one or two others. Have you looked on the BariatricPal website to see if they had something you might could use? I got a few sample packs from them that have quite a few different flavors. It helps break up the monotony of the protein shake routine
