    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

Same here. Surgery on Wednesday, came home Thursday. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but I still feel pretty beat up and sore.

    Thanks!

    Orange Theory?

I just learned about this today and I'm really interested. I'm trying to get a plan in place for once I'm cleared to fully exercise. My surgery is tomorrow and I've really been phoning in the exercise so far. I've been very lucky that I lost a lot of pre-op weight just by diet alone, but I know I need to step it up when the faster weight loss starts. Does anyone know if the rowing machines are safe that soon post op? Someone posted on here in another thread that sit ups are a no-no for like, a year, and the rowing machine also works at the core. I was hoping some of you who have done this post op could answer that. Thanks!

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

Tomorrow is the big day! I'm more worried that something is going to mess up and push my date back than I am about having the surgery. I'm second case, which is a bummer because I wanted to get in there first and have time to wake up and see my husband before he has to leave for work. Poor guy will be waiting around for hours only to have to leave right before they get me in my room. Oh well, that's all manageable. I'm more worried about waking up properly, because the last time I had general anesthesia I had some freak reaction with my lungs and I didn't wake up right. Routine gallbladder removal had me in the ICU for three days. I've had a pulmonary consult, they couldn't find anything wrong on my end that should cause that to happen again, they said sometimes there is just a bad timing for when and how they try to remove the tube and it can make the lungs freak out. So my fingers are crossed that everything is going to go on time and as planned.

Post op pain - be honest

Tell him to hang in there. Should hopefully be better soon.

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

Getting sleeved next Wednesday the 21st. Feels like it's both taking forever and so close! Started my liquid diet yesterday. Having a mix of different protein shakes and some soups with extra protein powder added. Not too bad YET, but it's going to be a long week!

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

A lot of people on here recommend Smooth Move herbal tea. Supposed to really get the job done when you don't want to or can't take pills. I've seen it at my local store in the health department near the vitamins.

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

I'm planning on two full weeks after and see how I feel after that. My friend just had it done in September and took two weeks and she was still very exhausted and trying to get her meals on track. I'll be on a 10 pound weight restriction for a month, so if there is any heavy lifting at your work you either can't go back or can't do those activities for a while. My date is set for Nov 21. I had to lose 25 lbs and as of yesterday I'm down 57 since June!

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

Shout out to my other November 21sters! My pre-op isn't until Nov 9th and my liquid diet starts after that, but they haven't mentioned no caffeine. I can live without it but I just got some yummy syntrax nectar cappuccino latte mix and it has caffeine in it. I don't need the caffeine but I love the taste! I also ordered some tespo powdered multivitamins and those are great, but I think it's way more cost effective to just order the "to go" opener than the expensive machine that is rumored to break down easy. Getting nervous and excited as the days go by!

    40 something sleevers?

That's awesome! It's so nice to hear a long-term success story to be reminded that it CAN work, but we have to want that more than our old habits. I'm not having surgery until next month but it's so nice to read your story. Thanks for sharing!

    Questions for the nervous.

Through my team, they want your BMI to drop as low as possible before surgery because it's often easier to lose more and keep it off after the surgery. As far as I know your starting weight/BMI is all that counts, otherwise most insurances wouldn't demand that you lose as much weight as possible on a monitored diet beforehand.
  13. LOL, no, but I do know the song. It's been a nickname for over 25 years that was a combination of a few silly stories with friends and family. Since then one of my friend's entire family calls me Foo-foo and my little sister calls me Foof. So much that my nephews call me Auntie Foof and don't even know my real name!
