it's great how wonderful ya'll look after the weight-loss I'm happy with what I've lost but the thing is i've got an issue with the excess skin that i have....however here is my photos of before & after

my doctor told me to do this....lol i was thinking man that's weird why would i waste or better yet spend my money on something that i'm not actually gonna get to eat....i tried it once or twice then i thought it was crazy & my doctor was to...lol so i'm like karenj....if im gonna cheat i'm going to cheat all the way or atleast try.....lol but i've gotten out of the habit of cheating..... however back to the matter-at hand...my doctor said this was very normal if i was wanting something i knew i couldn't have or wouldn't agree with my band just take a bite chew & spit it out then that craving is suppose to be gone...PSH lol that never worked for me anyway i just wanted the rest of it...or actually wanted it to hit my stomach

Hey what's up ya'll? I had a goal weight of 180lbs but I went to the doctor yesterday and I had lost 20lbs since being there at the begining of January and I've just decided to stop. I'm still going to keep my band and continue to excersize and eat healthy it's just that I've worked extremely hard and nothing would make me happier than to just have plastic surgery and be done with it. My band doctor told me he thought I was at a good size to go ahead & see a plastic surgeon so that's what I'm planning on doing he has me on some vitamins & some other medication because he wants to make sure my esphogus is fine b'cuz i've had alot of vomiting & acid reflux lately in the past few months....he tells me he believes I'm healthy & fine he just wants to make sure, but he was kind of up-set that I chose a doctor that wasn't in his hospital for my plastic surgery. Oh well I'm not even sure if I can get this payed for or not I'm not sure my insurance will pay for it. But I do have an appointment with a Plastic Surgeon that my insurance is going to cover the first visit I know for-sure....just to talk to her and see what she thinks or what she feels like I need and when, where, all the questions. I'm a little nervous and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a little bit scared. Because I am scared I don't know what to expect but this is what I've been waiting for....so March 16th is when I find out for sure what's going on with the Plastic Surgery..... Anybody had any plastic Surgery? Tummy Tucks? Anything to do with removal or skin from weight-loss......Let me know how it went and what to expect...please....any & all support/answers is appreciated...... thanks Tabbi

you know i never really looked into my BMI but when i read this thread I started to research it....I'm a bit ashamed as to how much I weighed & what my BMI was before I was banded....but my weight 2 weeks before surgery was 576lbs....so that's what i'm going with....& using this http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ my bmi was 105.3 WHOA that's crazy.....but now 2 years 4 months post-op I'm 200lbs & my bmi is 36.6 being 5'2" doesn't work to my advantage any either.....I still have a little ways to go. I would love to be around 140lbs....but my goal weight was actually 250 then I changed it to 180....yet to get there I've almost decided to stop and just proceed with reconstructive surgey....but being that I'm having no luck with that I'm going to continue to lose & try my best to get down as low as I can.....this is a really neat thread!

..well i got part of my gift today so i will be sending it out by Friday....lol i'm just not too sure what-else i'm going to get i'm still shopping around....I hope (he/she) enjoys......i'm loving this.....my first exchange & it's so exciting!

oh my roggie i forgot about that....i'm going to do that...but i still think i would have a better chance going through my band-doctor to try to get it covered rather than through this plastic surgeon that i just met.....& my band doctor was a bit-upset that i wasn't considering the surgery in his hospital .....but i'm going to get on that asap! i don't know what made me forget you telling me that...thank you so much!!

UPDATE! lol I know i've kind of disappeared for a little while I've just had so much going on I've neglected my site & the LBT.....but I went to the plastic surgeon :confused: sad to say that my insurance will not cover my surgery BUT the doctor was really nice he actually knocked off 500 dollars on every procedure that will need to be done & then an additional 10% discount so that lowered the price a bit. But it's still going to cost me 24,600 dollars to have this done. I don't have anyway to get that kind of cash. I do have some savings but it's not near 25,000 dollars... SO they gave me some information on trying to get a loan for medical procedures...which I'm looking into that but i don't know I'm still having a little hope that maybe my band doctor can help me in other areas & maybe get me a better price on things....which i don't go back to see him until may 1st.....so it's going to be a while....and I'm slightly depressed :scared: I had an-unfill & i have no restriction what-so-ever.....i think i might have gained a couple pounds, but I never weight myself because I don't like to get discouraged. So I guess I'll just have to wait & see what happens in may.....THANK YOU all for your comments & care.............

my highest fill was 2.0cc in a 4cc band...but it was too tight....i had my doctor take some out and he took out 0.5cc now i'm too loose ...i need another fill but not too tight so i guess your right it just varies in different people

Aw She Is So Beautiful....Congrats To Her!....It is really good if you can get this done when your young, I was banded when I was 19 and I've accomplished so much since being banded......Good Luck!

I'm not taking any pills, I couldn't if I wanted to I haven't had a fill in quiet sometime but I still have good restriction, but In the past before I got the band I did take many different types of pills to try to lose weight and nothing seem to work...but maybe in the future if something happens that I lose my band or start to gain weight instead of losing I'd be willing to try something that's safe....

I Got My Band At 576...and I'm Down To 213...(Have An Appt. Monday To See How Much More I've Lost)...BUT.....I've been banded for 2 years 3 months & I've had a great success with the band!......

576 Starting weight || 12 Months || 65% Drinking With/After Meals || 45/60 Minutes || 3 Fills || No Diet Drugs || Caucasian|| Lost 157lbs of course alot of that has changed...I've had my band for 2 years 3 months now and the more weight I've lost my excersizing has increased & I no longer drink with or shortly after meals, I've had more fills & I've noticed with more excersizing & less drinking with food or after I've lost more in less amount of time.....

I would love to have a pen-pal =) I'm 21 live in Kentucky & I've been banded for 2 years & 3 months, I enjoy listening to music various types, watching movies, scrap booking, taking pictures, I'm amazed with the spanish culture, cooking, swimming, chatting, writting, singing, I'm happily inlove...not married & don't have any children yet seriously considering getting married soon....

I know exactly how u feel!....I know I've lost alot of weight but sometimes the flabbyness is so sickening to me I often wonder is being big as bad as this FLAB?...I know it's not but I've gotten to the point that I actually do have to tuck my stomach into my pants and that might sound weird but it's TRUE....and quiet disgusting at times ....I know that working out will improve some cases of flab but when you have alot it's about impossible to tighten all of it up....atleast you've got a good outlook on things your misses loves u as u are now and with a little flab she'll love you the same :cake:

I've had my band for a little over 2 years and no matter how many times I've tried to eat hamburger meat It nevers agrees with me.....I've tried various different times, chewing, cutting, all of the above and it's never a good thing....which my doctor told me not to eat red-meats because they don't digest good....however I've been able to eat steak like jack said but NO hamburger meat.....sorry I have no solution it's out of the question for me...and many other people I know that has had the band....
