Good afternoon! Julie, I bet after the one girl had her potty accident the other one saw the attention and thought I need to do that too. This stage will pass. I remember wishing for the day my two would both be out of diapers (they were so close in age they overlapped for awhile), now that seems like yesterday. Hope your pain is subsiding. That's gotta be awful to feel so groggy from the drugs all the time too. Laura, poor little guy and the housefire and dog dying. He does need some distractions. Hope you find your me time next week! You know some good me time is available in Oct in Vegas! I sure hope it works out you can make it, I have every finger and toe crossed but know it will be awhile before you know. Arlene, I forgot to congratulate you on the 3 lbs. Congrats!

Had to switch to red today for 4th of July coming up. Lots of folks traveling this weekend. Hope PHyl and Janet have a great time with their '7's' should be a grand time. Just hope our Janet can stay warm in that 'cold' weather. LOL Apples must be off to the lake too for her like 10 days gone. I had a good visit with Grandma yesterday. She gets some goofy ideas in her head though. LOL And there's no changing her mind. But we had lunch, got groceries at Walmart and she got some new things at Penneys. She wanted nightgowns and new underwear as she is convinced she may end up in the hospital because well she hasn't had a BM in 3 days. She is obsessive over them. LOL She had diarrhea over the weekend and that got better but now is convinced something is seriously wrong. She is better now though. My gt grandfater was the same way and they took 'physics' all the time not sure what they were but glad she is feeling better. Such a thing to talk about but she was quite stressed over it yesterday. I think she thought this was her end. Time to switch to blue. Dh was supposed to go to Texas today but they rescheduled due to the storm coming in. Didn't want to get delayed with backed up flights etc. Arlene, is it supposed to come near you? Let's see 4th of July memories. The best woudl be up at my grandparents cottage in northern Wisconsin and doing fireworks over the lake. Also, a small show near DH's home when we first started dating. I don't really have any bad memories. I wonder what the family is doing in Denver this weekend as I always hosted a big BBQ for the 4th. My daughter said she hasn't heard of anyone doing anything. She thought of it, but her place is so small and no backyard (townhome) plus she is so far from everyone whenever she does try and do something many don't come because it's too far to drive.

I am back from getting my hair done. I went to the first place that I saw a sign for last week and they couldn't get me in til this afternoon though the sign said walk ins welcome. So I went to another place across the street and decided what the heck and they could take me. I think she did good, will see when I wash it and style it. She also did my eyebrows and got a little too agressive with them. Just heard from my friend I worked at the rec center with before I got laid off in Feb. goodness folks are getting let go and quitting left and right, she's about the only one left there that I would know. think it's a sign of very tight economics, glad to not be there anymore. I did get unemployment for awhile then felt guilty as I had no desire at the time to look for another job so I stopped putting in for it each week. I wasn't required to actively seek employment as I was considered 'job attached' meaning if my job had hours they'd call me (they only did twice and both were during my Isreal trip), but now I couldn't go in even if they called from Utah. I think I was eligible to collect for several more months or so. Arlene, nugget test is 4 mcnuggets = great restriction, 6 mcnuggets meant I was loosening up and possibly in need of a fill. LOL Now ChikFilA nuggets I've never been able to eat with out PBing. They are too dry or something for me, I think it's the breast meat as I can never eat that either. One never knows what is in a McNugget (nor do I want to know) LOL Apples, it won't be glorious with you gone! LOL Can you post some pics of your lake place some time?? Have a great time! Eva, glad you made it home safe and sound. Where in CO were you? I was outside Basalt last weekend. Going to Denver tomorrow for the day to take care of Grandma. Peaches, enjoy the Lucky 7's, your group is really lucky!! LOL Other than me and Apples, our 'JuneBug' group isn't even around hardly anymore. And Arlene was one month after us. Arlene, glad the eye thing was nothing serious and to be expected. Okay you nurses, my daughter just found out she has gall bladder polyps, how serious is that? She sees a surgeon on Thurs. I just emailed my lap band surgeon and he said he'd do her gall bladder for me too.

Good morning! Another hot one out there today. The heat is supposed to last through tomorrow and then cool down to the 80's by the weekend. That will be nice because DH is hoping to get the backyard in this weekend. That will be so nice to be rid of the dirt!! Today is one month since we have been in the house. Can't believe that already. And in that month I've already been to Denver once and then the Colorado camping trip. Plus I am going to Denver tomorrow to see Grandma. Not too bad. I thought I was going to have all this free time but so far NOT! Today I am going to walk in to this hair place and take my chances on a cut and color. My gray is showing really bad. I have no idea where to go and saw a sign when we went to dinner the other night, went into the place it looked nice so wish me luck! I hate going to a new hair place. I had thoughts of going back to my gal in Denver but that takes up so much time of the day when I could be with Grandma. Laura, glad the camp ended up working with you and is willing to learn from the experience. Apples, are you saying we are going to have to do without you all next week? Sounds like a glorious week though. All your talk of the lake place takes me back to my grandparents cottage in northern Wisconsin when I was growing up, those are my best memories of my childhood so I enjoy hearing about the lake place. Julie, hope the pain is better. Glad to hear you are considering Vegas! Take some pics of your remodel. joyce, I was feeling weak like that yesterday as well. Maybe you are onto something about the heat. Eva, hope you are having a good time in Colorado. Jodi, still at Fire Island?? Janet, hope you got some much needed sleep last night and are feeling refreshed.
-
Janet, hope you get some much needed rest!! Hope Andrews back is better. Okay, for Vegas we have: Lori, Linda, & Apples one suite Janet, Phyl & ? one suite Eva & maybe Arlene one suite Joyce & Cheri one suite? What am I missing?
-
Drats, wish I would've waited to book now, as I was going to take that same flight it was the same price. But since I figured I'd be riding to the airport with DH that morning I might as well take the earlier flight and spend my wait time in Vegas instead of here. We could've been on the same flight. But you will be arriving Vegas in the same area so I will just wait there at the gate for your flight.
-
Welcome home Apples. I'd love to either get a cab with you or have lunch in the airport while we wait for others to get in. What airline are you arriving on? I am on Delta, of course. LOL gotta support the paycheck, plus I got a discount. Arlene, yes I do like Costco way better than Sam's but then again I have not been to a Sam's in a long time. LauraK, that's a long time to wait for the moving van. We practically had to race our moving van here. So nice of your son to give you a tour of your plants. Well I gotta find a day to go to Denver to visit Grandma, it's time to balance her check book and go over some other things and take her shopping.

Sure is quiet here today, why is it always that way when I have time to read and post? LOL I went to the other location for 24Hour Fitness today. They didn't have what I have been calling the killer machine (elliptical and stepper in one sortta) but this location had a pool and basketball court, mine does not. the pool might be nice for a change up once in awhile. I do have a neighborhood pool though that I have yet to use since moving in. After working out I went to Costco to pick up a patio set that we saw last week. We got our insurance settlement for the damaged set from the hailstorm on our moving day. Of course, they were sold out of them. So someone looked up for me if any other stores in the area had them. Ogden and Orem stores had them and Orem marked them down $100, so I went for a 40 min drive or so to Orem to pick one up. Low and behold I get there and it's marked down an additional $100 for a total of $200. Lucky me! DH is out in the 96 degree heat putting it together now. He said I could buy nothing else that needs assembly until he gets his grass and bushes in. He's so anxious about getting in his yard. I just want the dirt covered tired of it in the house with him and the dogs dragging it in. Finally finished about 6 loads of laundry, how can just 2 people dirty that much in a weekend of camping? So glad Arlene is coming to Vegas now too, this is turning into quite the gathering. WOOHOO!! So anxious to meet all of you. I was so sad to miss Florida.
-
Congrats, Summer, on making goal. That is strange about the port, never heard of it. Maybe you'll have to have it repositioned??
-
Booked my flights! I get in about 9am on Fri the 1st and leave about noon on Sunday the 3rd. WOOHOO!!

Forgot to add the pic of DH's fish

Good morning gang! For it being a quiet weekend here supposedly I had lots of reading to catch up! I had a wonderful time camping. Whodda thunk that I'd enjoy tent camping so much? But being out in the mountains with DH and BOTH my kids and their significant others with no distractions was awesome. None of the electronics worked so it was just us and the campfire and beautiful scenery. DS has a new g/f he's pretty serious about so it was nice to get to know her as well. DH and DS are avid flyfisherman and the river we were near was 'Gold Medal Water' (who knew there was such a thing?) and they were very thrilled to get to fish and DD and her DH were learning how to do it. Lots of women flyfishing too. I sat and watched and was teh keeper of the dogs. LOL I'll try attaching a pic of DH with his big catch. Vegas: after I get home from the gym and Costco today I am going to look for my flight. I plan on arriving in the morning on Fri and leaving early afternoon on Sunday. The flight is less than an hour for me so should be doable. I am so excited so many are coming. Julie, you should give it a shot. I remember you were nervous about FL too and you did great there from what I hear. I'd like to do a little shopping but am not into the whole Vegas strip scene either, I too have lived there in the past, I am going to visit and bond with all you gals. Linda, thanks for booking our room while I was gone, I will email you and get a check to you soon. LauraK, glad you enjoyed your brief time in SLC, it is a beautiful city. I just love the mountains all around and so close. Laura, hope you get a refund on that camp. Poor little guy getting burnt and dehydrated. They should know better. Phyl, I saw a post of puppy pics. I missed that you found a puppy, what kind is she/he? Janet, glad Andrew is safe. Scary. Apples, hope you are enjoying the lake, and are back soon. So glad you DH is encouraging you to go and to let go of the guilt. Joyce, it's a hot one here today too but no humidity so that's nice. Cheri, for flights I usually go to a website like travel.yahoo.com and put in my dates and see what it comes back with, it will price all airlines but Southwest usually. (Southwest does not work with any other airlines or travel websites, you have to book theirs on their website only) but then I go to which ever airlines deals I like best and check there as they are usually a bit cheaper on the individual airlines website. But it's a way to see a bunch of options in one place. well I got loads of dirty camping laundry to do and I gotta get to the gym. Am checking out a different location of 24 Hour today.

WOOHOO!! Apples is coming!! I really don't mind the couch either apples so whatever works! I am going to book my flights when I get back from camping. But I think it gets in about 10 as well. Laura, glad you enjoyed downtown. If you rode Trax to the end you were right by the HS my kids graduated from in Sandy. I don't live in that part of town anymore (further south and west) but it's where I lived for many years. Well I better go help DH finish loading the car, I had to check in here to see if there were any Vegas updates. Glad I did. We finally found everything in boxes last night and are getting a later start than planned this morning
-
WOOHOO!!!! APPLES!!! So you gonna do it???? You can have my room and I can take the couch. I plan on looking for my air fare when I get back from camping. Sitting here at 930 at night thinking of Laura across town. We finally found all our camping stuff. A big part of the problem was the camping stuff hadn't gotten unpacked yet and we couldnt' find everything we needed and was in panic mode. We are ready to go now.
-
I guess it was my fault for not managing time right. I should've had all the stuff packed for camping, I just thought I had more time. I am usually not a procrastinator. The builder guy came, my electrical is all okay, we had a concern. I am anxious to see the kids but not real anxious to sleep in a tent. LOL It's supposed to be a hot weekend, so will be nice up in the mountains. I will be back on Monday.
-
I am so bummed!! Laura just called and it ended up I couldn't get away to meet. I feel horrible and disappointed, I was looking forward to it all day and even got gussied up a little. But I had concrete guys here going over things, a home builder guy coming, DH wanted to leave much earlier for camping and well time just got away from me and I didn't have the necessary time for the drive downtown and back. BOO HOO!!!! I am so sorry Laura, I was so looking forward to it. I sure hope you can make Vegas!
-
I got a message at home while I was at the gym this morning from Laura that she would be in town at 230 so she should be here some where. She's staying downtown, I hope I find my way. EGADS!! Julie, you'll have to take pics of your remodelling. Glad your pain has been better, hoping for it to be gone and not just better soon. Apples, here's hoping there's no storms tonight so you can get some sleep without a scared pup! I have a skittish lab as well but fireworks and storms don't bother her, just strange people and situations. She reminds me of an old person that likes their routine. Take them out of their routine and they are flustered at least that's how my grandma is. Linda, thanks for taking care of our reservation. When you have the total email me the amount and I will send a check pronto (well semi pronto I won't be home til Mon or Tues but pronto then).

Weigh in... how much have u lost?
Great2BThin replied to Southern Missy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Congrats Sara, I use that Lose it ap and I love it! Always with me and the database is pretty extensive. And I like how I can go to previous meals and just copy them as I tend to have some of the same things a lot. -
Good morning! today is the day I hopefully get to meet LauraK!! It's also the day I meet the trainer at the gym. UGH!! I am so sore from Monday. I must confess I never made it to the gym yesterday, the concrete guys didn't leave til noon and well you all know you can't get sweaty after noon. LOL Actually the day just got away from me, had so many errands to run to get ready for camping tomorrow. I am very anxious to go camping, we are meeting the kids near Glenwood springs, it's a 6 hour drive for us so we are leaving like 4am. For Vegas, Linda and I are sharing a room. Apples, if you can come last minute you are welcome to crash on our couch! We'll have to keep our fingers and toes crossed for a late starting harvest then?? DH's brother called last night and they are talking of a gathering in S. Dakota next month or August. So maybe if all works out, we can meet in Watertown again? It's very iffy right now though and my luck it will be when you are in Canada. Eva, sure, you wait til I leave CO to go there! Have a safe trip! Jessica, happy birthday. Janet, brave grandma going driving on the first day of her permit. Good job on bootcamp. I didn't see a bootcamp class offered at my 24 Hour. Not sure I am a class person at this point though. Well better get ready for the gym. Laura, I may look scruffy when we meet today!

Well darn it all. I made a post from my Itouch again today and it doesn't appear. Evidently I don't have that thing figured out well. I've been trying to practice as my son has offered to give me his old Iphone as he is getting the new one they are releasing this week and my plan with TMobile expires in a month. All this technology leaves me feeling dumb. LOL Apples and Janet, I just need to substitute legs for arms in your posts above and can relate totally. I am working on embracing them and developing a better attitude towards them. I'd rather have them 'melting butter' though than hard lard. LOL
-
That is going to be the hard part of the day, keeping the dogs off the concrete. There is no way for them to go out back to do their 'business'. And even out front the concrete comes around the side of the house to the driveway. So will have to be careful to make sure they stay to one side of the front, maybe one dog at a time so they don't get to playing chase. They are locked in their crates right now as they are going nuts having these concrete guys in the yard. On the one hand it's good they bark when there are people around that aren't supposed to be, but a bad thing when they don't stop when I tell them it's okay. They just aren't feeling 'at home' yet and very skittish. Odd I had rottweillers before the lab mixes and everyone thinks they are such mean and vicious dogs. they'd never have barked like my labs do at strangers. When I told them it was okay they were your best friend. they just had a 'presence' about them. LOL Personally, I've never tried wine for breakfast. LOL Not many kinds I like other than some white zinfendels. Oh but how I loved going to Napa when I lived in Sacramento. Oh, Laura, there's a vacation idea for you! I've never stayed there but understand there are some marvelous spas, bed and breakfasts, etc.
-
Wine for breakfast, it's a fruit aka grape juice???? LOL Laura, Canada sounds neat. We were to the Nova Scotia region several years ago it was beautiful. Also Alaska is fun this time of year. So beautiful. Well the cement truck just left and they are busy smoothing it out and what not. I kept thinking the patio wasn't big enough but now that it's poured it looks huge. Hope I didn't go too big. LOL It will look different once we get grass and all too.
-
Oh one more thing, I asked a few days ago in a post but it probably got buried on a day no one was around. I was at Target looking at those Champion pants that were discussed awhile back on here. They had 3 fits, relaxed, fitted and semi fitted or something like that. Which is the fit you guys like? Also sports bras? I heard the Champion one was also good. For some reason with moving I can't find my sports bras for working out but have lots of others that wonderful Apples sent me.
-
Forgot to ask, how many carbs do these new little bagels you guys are talking about have? Not sure I could do one even toasted but maybe an option if I have a craving. I just don't do well with breads though.
-
Good morning. Well today is the day I get my concrete! They laid the forms and all yesterday and it took so long they had to wait til this morning to get the cement truck so they showed up at 630am this morning. YAWN!! LOL Reason I say yawn is DH was up most the night with phone calls someone damaged an aircraft in one of his cities last night, that's always several hours on the phone and he says several trees of paper of reports. Poor guy then had to get on a flight bright and early for San Diego this morning just for the day. Yesterday was Houston and he said it was hot and humid! I am going to the other location of 24 Hour fitness today to see which I like better. They are both not real close so a drive either way. Linda, you defintely don't look fat in that photo, neither one of you look like you were ever overweight. Apples, we thought of doing the colored and stamped concrete for the patio but it was exactly double the cost. A friend got her's that way and in a few years it all faded out, so we are just going basic concrete. Eva, where are you going again? I forget. My dogs will love the grass though they aren't minding the dirt too much. LOL They are so dirty but makes no sense to give them a bath to go back out and roll in it some more. Janet, do you even have winter clothes? I guess when you term winter as 60's and 70's you must. What would you do if you really went to winter?? LOL How's work going? Have things settled down a bit? LauraK, you look amazing in the photo that Linda posted. Hopefully it's our turn to meet tomorrow.
