Good afternoon. A quickie post for me, am busy cooking, cleaning and doing laundry and getting ready for guests again. Seems DD is coming back this weekend with her DH to go back to Ikea to get some nursery stuff. He has a 4 day weekend and she starts a new job on Tues. and since they have to drive over the mountains thought they'd come before the snow starts flying. DH is busy making jerky and sausage out of a lot of his deer meat. He bought a meat grinder attachment to my Kitchenaid to grind a little up, he better sanitize that thing when he's done! UGH!! Pigs in a Blanket, I was so confused when you mentioned cabbage in them, but now it makes sense when Eva called them Cabbage rolls. To me Pigs in a blanket are little smokies or hotdogs even, rolled in crescent roll dough and baked. LOL Funny how different parts of the country call different things differently. Speaking of do you call a soft drink: soda or pop or something different? I grew up calling it pop but out here everyone calls it soda. Or I called everything a Coke no matter what type of soft drink it was. Well better get, dryer is beeping. Lots of dirty stinky hunting clothes.

Just think one month from today we will be arriving in Vegas!! WOOHOO!! Just got home from my dr appt and no more pap smears for me!! another WOOHOO!! It's been 10 yrs since my hysterectomy, I have no cervix and everything has been fine on it, so I still get a pelvic exam but no pap. Everything checked out great, still need to schedule my mammo and he wants me to have a colonoscopy and baseline bone density scan done. Blood pressure was so normal, he was impressed by that. I've not seen this dr in 9 yrs so he only knew me fat. DH called and is on his way home from the hunt with one deer and no elk. No, Julie, I do not eat his kills but he eats every last bite. he feels if he kills it he has to eat it and most of it he enjoys a lot. HOwever, he hates goose but loves goose hunting. So whenever he gets a goose he's always looking for clever ways to 'cook his goose' or give them away if he can. LOL I don't even cook most of it, he cooks it himself. But it does save us a lot on groceries unless you count all the money he spends for his hunting supplies and trips then it's not. LOL Family Drama: I have had my share mostly with the siblings and parents, that I am learning to let go, I'm not close to them and probably never will be but can be civil when we are together. As for kid drama that's harder. Sometimes I have found the tough love approach is best. If they don't have me to bail them out and know that they tend to make better choices most of the time. One of them had a car repossessed and it was real hard not to loan them the money to take care of it, but I felt if we did, they'd just do it again and not take it seriously. After they lost their car and had to buy a clunker, etc. they are getting better about finances. Oh almost forgot, DS was hunting with DH and DH thinks that there will be a ring and a date soon in DS's future so I may have another wedding to get ready for. I knew he was serious about this gal, good thing I really like her!

Good morning! It was so cool last night I had to pull the comforter up on the bed and then just snuggled in and slept in this morning. Now I got a late start to my day. My big excitement for the day is my annual pap smear and check up. I am going to the gyn that I went to almost 10 yrs ago and who did my hysterectomy, I liked him and didn't know where else to go so thought that was a good place to start even though it's a bit of a drive. Plastic Surgery: forgot to comment last night, someone mentioned that if money wasn't an issue we'd all do it or maybe I understood the post wrong. But no don't think I would, unless I was having some medical issue or something because of it the excess skin or something. I hate pain LOL. I have parts that bother me some mainly my legs/calves and they can't be fixed, a good bra fixes things LOL. I'd rather spend the money on other things I guess. But for folks who want the plastic surgery, I say go for it, they can do amazing things and if it makes one feel better, Great! Laura, congrats on the job. Is this all volunteer or is part of it paid as well? I know when my kids were in school there were never enough volunteers either. I was a stay at home mom and had one mom actually tell me one time that the stay at homes should pick up the slack for the ones that worked since we didn't have anything else to do. I volunteered in the classroom through junior high and it was a way to keep my eye on the classroom and contribute. LauraK, glad your DD is settling into Las Vegas, I am sure she will meet folks as she's there longer. Does she have any hobbies or classes she could sign up for to meet folks? golf lessons? etc?? Janet, hope things settle down at work and your friend can get things worked out. All the cuts companies are doing these days just pile more and more work on the employees that are still left.

Good evening! I am back from the airport and dropping DD off and then reading 6 pages of posts to catch up. I am feeling a little sad and lonely, the let down after such a fun and active weekend and DH is still gone hunting. He did call to say he got a deer but no elk yet. Oh joy, but that means I won't need to buy much meat this next year either so that's good. He eats that all the time and I grill my little Costco filets or fish. We had a great girls weekend. My friend was here Fri night til Sunday afternoon and while she was here we went to Ikea, she had heard of them but never been and was dying to see an Ikea. She loved it and has her list of things she wants from there. LOL We got pedicures, ate out every meal, went to some chick flicks, went to church, went to the malls and did a 'Food Network tour' and showed her downtown and Temple Square and the Mormon church's geneaology library. Just before coming she saw an episode of 'Diners, Drive Ins and Dives' about SLC and was intrigued by the Mexican restaurant, Red Iguana so we went there Friday night, then on Sat. we went to a BBQ place, both were real dives but very good. AT the mall I got some jewelry (cheap stuff) and a sweater. Then after she went home on Sunday DD & I did some baby and maternity shopping. She wanted to go to the outlets in Park City as they had a Carters, Coach and Motherhood Maternity. I bought her a maternity outfit, she is just starting to wear some maternity pants, doesn't really need them yet but her regular pants hurt her tummy. Then at Coach she fell in love with a pink diaper bag so she bought that and the matching wallet of course. She is her mother's daughter. LOL I was so proud of myself I left with only a scarf to tie on the bag I recently bought. LOL Then on to Carters were we bought some of the cutests sleepers and gowns, gender neutral still since we don't know the sex. We saw another chick flick and went to another mall. Today we went to DSW shoe store, they had them in Denver but I never found much there, well today I left with 5 pairs. LOL DH will freak! LOL Not really he usually doesn't say anything. I have such big ugly feet (size 11 and usually wides) and can never find shoes. The gal said they just recently started carrying them and they had tons and many on clearance. I love Born and Merrills and all pairs are one of those brands. I am set. One pair is for DH. Of course I joined their reward program now. LOL Janet, the pics were great and loved what you wrote. I know you have commented before on how you didn't like your upper arms, my first thought at seeing those pics is 'I want those arms' they look so toned. Julie, just a little over a week til your appt! I am so anxious for you. And no I don't think you were cheap on invitations. DD made all of her's and they were great. She got a kit at Michaels. Oh and you asked what NB shoes were after Arlene posted awhile back, I believe she was probably meaning New Balance Melissa, hope you are feeling better. The right job will come along. My copays never go towards the deductible either, never have, so if your's did in the past you were lucky. Jewel, Jake will do fine in school. When they first start out so many kids are at various levels, some had preschool some didn't, some were taught at home and some not. Having a conference with the teacher is great. I get such a kick out of reading your and Laura's posts as first time mom's. Brings back all those thoughts and memories I had when my oldest started school. Laura, how was the job interview today? I bet you nailed it. LauraK, glad you had a great visit with your family. Joyce, hi! Linda, Merry looks so good and alert for just having surgery. Glad you feel so good about the decision you made. Phyl, I get such a kick out of the pics you post of Zoey and Earl, to think he didn't want a dog. LOL Apples, welcome home, hows the arm and mouth??? Got a pic of that new car?? What color?? Arlene, pepper in cookies? Can you taste it? Any baby yet? Cheri, congrats on being grandma again, seems to be some of that going on around here. Today I am grateful for my weekend with my daughter. There was a time we fought like crazy and now she is my best friend. Also, am grateful that DS's girlfriend wasn't injured when she was in a car wreck with 2 semis this morning.

Leaving for the airport in a minute to pick up DD this morning, then this afternooon a friend from Denver. Girls weekend! DH is leaving for Colorado and elk/deer hunting. Janet, I will practice saying that. Sorry thought you were a 2 but heck 4 is great too. I am like you on sizes though not the same size. I'm a 12 and have some 10's (heck even an 8 but it's tight now) but a solid 12 and that's not morbidly obese either. So I will practice saying I can't be fat, I am a 12. Julie, I am taking it you had a good nights sleep last night without pain, at least I am hoping so, since there was no middle of the night post from you.
-
Good evening. Janet, I didn't remember reading about the 119 but then thought I missed it in my 'skimming' when I got home and didn't want to miss out on congratulating you. LOL That seemed a little low especially with you already in size 2's. Laura, what a few days you've had. Hope you don't have to continue your affair with the repairman any longer. Was he cute? LOL Jodi, sounds like your little girl is growing up. Hold on you are in for a wild ride! LOL Enjoy your weekend.

Sherri, I had many of the same concerns before I got my band as well. But there are many kinds of addictions and many programs and aids to help them. I look at the band as my aid, God provided doctors and this is a tool, the band didn't do the work, it just helped me do the work. I read a lot of the horror stories beforehand too, I wanted to be educated, but then I had to stop reading. It scared the you know what out of me. There are far more success stories than there are horror stories out there. I think we need to go into this with our eyes wide open and make an educated decision with God's guidance as for what is right for us. I have no regrets other than wish I had gotten my band sooner. I've been very successful and have had no complications. I don't even know the band is there now unless I eat too fast or too big a bite. Good luck to you in your decision, Pray about it and go from there.

Good morning! Apples, have a lovely weekend. LauraK, did I ever catch up on the sleep, I slept straight through 11 hours last night. I am just getting up now. I've not slept this late in a long time and even slept through all the construction noise of the houses being built behind me with the windows open. I slept through DH getting up and leaving for work. AHHHHHH Today is finish straightening up the house day. Tomorrow DD comes!! She is coming until Tues. DH will be going to Colorado bow hunting with DS and DBIL. They are hunting elk and deer. Last year they got nothing but had the best time, guess it's all that male bonding and story telling. Us gals will do some female bonding in the malls, restaurants and movie theaters. LOL Life is really good for me right now, other than my regained weight. I am settled in to life in Utah more or less (though would rather be in Colorado), and the travel part of DH's job has started and I am able to pick up and go off with him. Travel is my passion. I am going to be grandma on top of it. I'm not working so my time is my own. I know I will get the extra pounds back off but am doing some self loathing of myself because of it. DH says I gotta change those tapes. I still have a hard time seeing myself as thin and that's part of my problem. Sitting at the pool in Hawaii I felt like the biggest person there. He was like are you kidding me and starting (hope this doesn't sound terrible) pointing out many big bodies and said I am way thinner than that and then pointed out some he felt I was close to. Maybe I need to get a full length mirror and just start standing in front of it and looking at myself each day til it sinks in. Years of avoiding mirrors I never really knew what I looked like from the chest or so down. LOL Phyl, glad you made it cross country safe and sound. So what route are you taking back? When?? Melissa, hope that coughing subsides soon and you can get some rest.
-
I must've missed some stuff in my haste to catch up. Janet, 119???? Oh my, that working out is really paying off. New pics!! Joyce, congrats on the normal bloodwork, that's wonderful. That alone makes all this worthwhile. Melissa, take care, I hate bronchitis! On the plane going over to Hawaii the gal behind me just coughed and coughed the whole flight. Part of me was so mad at her for still flying and possibly infecting us all, and I sure didn't want to catch it, but then the other side of me thought poor thing, probably has been looking forward and planning a Hawaiian vacation a long time and then gets stick.

No disclaimer needed, I rarely eat desserts, just like to have something good to take places when I need to bring something. Not much of a sweet tooth here, I am into salty and crunchy! LOL I've noticed the older I get the more it takes me to recover from those sleepless nights. Guess as I get older I need my beauty sleep!
-
But then we don't all get to see the recipe! I am just trying to stay awake now, might have to go to bed after Big Brother tonight. (what did I miss on Sunday Janet?). But in my sleepy state I did manage to do 4 loads of laundry, vaccuum, make up the spare bed, grocery shop and give both dogs baths after being in the kennel they stunk!
-
Aloha!! I am home and very sleepy! We took an all nighter flight and I hardly slept. But got my 2nd load of laundry in now so am being productive to stay awake. May nap later. I had a wonderful time. Maui was beautiful and we really got hooked up with a great room. We overlooked the ocean, I slept with the sliding doors open to hear the sound of the waves in the night. Then right below our balcony was a series of ponds and waterfalls the resort built with swans, pink flamingos, etc. I could sit on that balcony all day. At night we would drive to Lahiana for dinner and a little shopping/browsing. We saw Peter Fonda one night. I was pretty careful in what I ate, focused on Proteins though some of it was fried. I PB'd one night and it was my fault I was more focused on the conversation, etc. and less on my bite sizes. The only akward part of the trip is DH and to go with the HR rep who is female. Her husband came along as well, he was a super nice guy and we got along great, it was just weird to be with just him when the workers were working. We checked in for our flight from Maui to Honolulu and they all assumed we were 'together' etc. He rented a car yesterday and drove to the north shore and though I wanted to go I opted to just lounge at the beach and pool by myself. I enjoyed it but it got a little lonely. LOL When I am alone I tend not to go to restaurants wtih a waiter, I will go to a fastfood place alone and there was McDs just a hop, skip and a jump from the beach so yep I did have my nuggets. And, no, Janet, I didn't go to the gym but I did do lots of walking. There was even a 24 Hour fitness right on Waikiki but even though I had an any club membership it had a premium charge. I tried to read all the posts I missed but must admit I read 7 pages quickly and skimmed a lot so sorry if I missed anything. Laura, I got a kick out of your post about extra clothes for the day at school. My son would have needed many changes of clothes for spills, etc. Apples, glad you are healing and praying the next 3 weeks of the splint have you back to 100%. Linda, happy to hear Merry is recovering well. Poor little thing. Jessica, hoping your son has better days at school. Melissa, new beginnings, I can already hear the more positive outlook in your posts. Arlene, saw some posts about shoes, did you find some that worked? I love NB and it's about all I wear for walking shoes. Cheri, big decisions about moving in with your folks. Might be a win win for everyone, but so very hard to do. Not sure I could take living with my negative mother day in and day out. Gwen, enjoy Spain, are you going to Barcelona? I loved Las Ramblas there. Eva, how many more days?? Joyce, how's your daughter. Julie, soon we will be hearing about your Mayo appt.
-
So you smoke it?? Here I thought everyone was drinking something out of one big pitcher. LOL DH is a non smoker except on weekends he likes to sit out back with a cigar. Maybe he'd like a hubblebubble? LOL We now have this summer ritual that will have to stop soon, on Sat. nights he gets his cigar and I get my M & M McFlurry from McD's or Blast from Sonic and we sit out back, it's our indulgence. LOL
-
So exactly what is that water pipe thingy? are you drinking something?? Just met DH for lunch and got caught in a horrific rainstorm, roads flooding, etc. made it home fine but sure wasn't expecting that much rain, that's unusual for here. Well time to face the music. I am busy packing away and decide some of these clothes I haven't worn in awhile I better try them on and I got a very rude awakening. Some were too tight. I knew I was up a few but had no idea it would affect my clothing that much. I guess when I was 300 lbs I could gain 30 lbs and still stay the same size, now it's about 10 lbs. So my plan is to hold firm til after DD leaves (she's coming weekend after this) and then I might look into the 5 day pouch test and really get back to basics. Start measuring again, journalling again, etc. I was super depressed about it and started all the negative tapes in my head that mostly start with, 'you worthless piece of %$@'. But now I am looking at this as a roadblock and when I conquer it, it so going to affirm that yes indeedy I can maintain this! Gosh I am glad I tried on stuff, would've hated to get to Maui and have too small of clothes with me. Luckily I have a few sizes in my closet. I bought most of my summer things last year before my cruise and I wasn't quite to goal yet so had a couple sizes mostly 10's and 12's.

Today is packing day! WOOHOO!! I am so excited to see Maui, never been to that island. First I am going to a book club tonight. Never have gone to one, a friend here invited me and thought it would be a way to meet folks and get out there, but not sure it's my thing. Time will tell. My 'baby boy' is 6'8 and 250 lbs, but to me he will always be my little boy. LOL Laura, just wait til your friends baby boy starts to bring things home in his pockets, etc. she is in for a ride! LOL Arlene, be careful of the wine and chocolate though, they can easily go from occassional to more and more. I'd just have to stay away as am afraid it would open up more wanting more and craving more carbs, etc. Plus I don't like many red wines. Gwen, pooey on what your orthopedic dr said. I find that most other docs don't know much about lap bnds and think it's all like bypass. Bypass loses so much at first. I think you are doing great, the first 6 weeks after banding many don't lose at all. There's no restriction yet and it's a time for healing from surgery. It will come, don't panic. Kurby, I agree with Laura, I too could've written a nutrition book. I knew it all, in all my attempts to lose weight I knew just how many calories, carbs, etc. I needed, the problem was doing. I could talk the talk but not walk the walk. Janet, glad things are better with Andrew. It was tough when my kids were that age and still at home. They felt they were of age and expected to be treated as an adult while they continued to act like children. LOL Eva, and the countdown continues! Are you getting excited?? Linda, hope the hip is better. Are you allowed to jog or run with a hip? I know I am only supposed to 'run from danger' with my knees, no high impact. Just when I was going to take up running. NOT!! LOL
-
Good afternoon, just got home from the gym and a long lunch with a friend, her husband joined us for the 2nd half as he couldn't believe we were still chatting. LOL He was picking up my friend but she wasn't ready to go yet. I did the body sculpting class, think that will be my normal Wednesday routine. I even upped the weights some today. Progress! Laura, what a beautiful poem and yes I cried. I don't want you to think I am a depressed person who's kids have grown, I am not at all. I have good relationships with both and it's nice to have my kids as adults too. It's just that those young years go so fast and my kids were so close together in age some of those years went by in a blur. I'd love to have more time with them as younguns too. I always too pics of my kids on their first day of school in their new outfits. And after that first day we'd go to McD's or something like it and they would tell me all about it and from there we'd take their school supply list that they'd get the first day and buy all their supplies. I made a big deal about it. Arlene, I am with you on having the son in law 'taking care of it'. We women carry the baby for 9 mos, birth it, nurse it etc. The least the man could do is get the snip snip. LOL but seriously whatever works for the couple. Melissa, good luck at the job fairs. Apples & Phyl, enjoy your meet, sounds like fun. Hope Earl gets his TV working.
-
I haven't eaten anything since the PB episode, but I think I am fine. Will see how breakfast goes in the morning. I have a yogurt in the fridge just in case. LOL Does DS still have his place in ATL?
-
Phyl, maybe I'll see your DD and not even know it. LOL We will be in Maui from Fri to Monday and then in Honolulu on Mon & Tues. It's coming up fast! Apples, is your son from Atlanta still in town? Did he decide to stay? or is he going overseas, I remember something about a decision by Sept and that is coming up. I hope he decides to stay close by.

Okay so I had a weird thing happen at dinner tonight. DH & I just went to Panda Express as it was next to Jiffy Lube where we were getting the oil changed and inspections on the car so we can get UT plates for it. Anyhoo, I had a piece of chicken breast meat which I don't handle well. I felt it get sortta stuck and I did what I should know better than to do and took a sip of DH's diet coke. Bad Idea! Now I had to PB very shall we say urgently. So off to the restroom I went. Get to the stall and I sortta cough and, excuse me, burp at the same time. Not only did I PB via the usual outlet as in the mouth, but my also felt it in my nose! You know like the milk in the nose thing when you were kids. OMG! And it burned. What the heck???? Thought you would get a kick out of it. I just can not do chicken breast and I know diet coke for some reason I thought this time it would wash it down. DUH!! So even veterans make big time mistakes! Jessica, how exciting school is going to be for you, demanding, busy yes, but oh so rewarding too. Laura, my opinion (and I know you didn't ask) but let Nels ride that bus the first day. He will be in the same boat (or shall I say bus) as everyone else. They will all be new, the driver will be all the more aware that they are new and instructive. If he gets a ride and then one day has to ride the bus, he is going to be lost and all the other kids will know what they are doing and he's going to feel out of place. This way he gets to bond with the other kids from day one, get his seat or seatmate if they do assigned seats, etc. It is going to be so hard on you to see him ride off on that bus, take plenty of tissues. Like Apples said, i would take one of those days back to relive in an instant though. Not to panic you, but once they start school time goes so fast. Cherish every day. The volunteer work sounds wonderful and oh so rewarding. And who knows maybe that will turn into the perfect part time work some place via some sort of networking, etc. I'd be picky on my hours too. One of the main reasons I'm not working now. We don't have to have the income, though extra money is always nice, but I don't want to work nights or weekends and want to take my little trips and jaunts with DH, if the right thing comes along and fits my narrow schedule, great, if not so be it. Julie, bummer that the pain kicked in right when you were visiting Phyl. How are you able to drive when it hits and on the pain pills? Glad you made it home safe. Phyl, I don't think you'll drive through Wausau, WI but if you see signs for it, think of me, that's where I originally am from. Apples, yep meatballs, might have to make that a pouch test too, they were very small meatballs at that and only a buck. Gwen, have a wonderful trip, hope you are able to get around okay on your knees.
-
Oh Apples, so good to see that green font! Glad you are on the mend. Anxious to hear the story on the MRI and glad you are going some place else more qualified. Does it hurt to type? For some reason I have been just exhausted the past couple days, not sure why. My allergies are really flaring up so took some allergy meds today and it seems to be helping. I've not been bothered by hayfever type stuff in years, I tell DH I must be allergic to Utah as I don't think I've suffered since we lived here last. Though the place they were the absolute worse was when we lived in Las Vegas, weird! A friend called and wants to go to lunch tomorrow and asked if I minded if we just went to McD's as her budget was tight. Do I mind? LOL Time for nuggets! LOL I went to lunch with a different friend yesterday just to Ikea as she had some things to return there. I heard their Swedish meatballs were yummy, I got the childs size portion which was 5 meatballs, that was perfect. Didn't seem fair though as I ate my 5 meager meatballs (and was satisfied) she had the regular portion which was about 12 plus mashed taters, she has always been normal weight and I have to eat that little to stay normal weight.

Good afternoon. Just got home from getting a pedicure, a girl needs pretty toes for Hawaii! I got one in Walmart of all places. The place I usually go to said they were busy and to come back in half in hour, so I went to Walmart, saw the salon and no wait so Voila, new toes! Phyl, enjoy your visit with Julie today, wish I was there too! Hope Earl is in a better mood today. What is dry camping?? Doesn't sound like too rough of camping if you have Directv. LOL Jodi, did you have Directv in your tent? LOL Glad you had a good time. A tent isn't too bad once in a while, get back to nature and all. I find it refreshing and I enjoy the comforts of home all the more when I am back. Nothing like a campfire and smores of course. Arlene, Weird how the weather changes affect you so much. Maybe you need to move to a more arid climate? Joyce, hope your daughter is getting the help she needs with the drugs. That's gotta be so tough for you to watch. Julie, enjoy your visit with Phyl today, I am sure your DH will love the left overs. That's my DH's favorite thing, lots of left overs. Kurby, when do you have your first post op visit at the docs? Be sure to go over all your concerns there. LauraK, when is your consult on the plastic surgery? I've had a gall bladder and 2 knee operations since surgery, that's probably my big reason for not looking into it, don't want another surgery. Linda, when I do lots of walking my knees ache as well after. They feel good while doing it. I think it's just something I will have to live with. They don't hurt bad but just ache for a bit. I am just glad I am able to do all the walking in the first place. Well gals, just booked another adventure. Finally I am getting the benefits I was promised in this move in all the travel! I'm loving it! We are going to Maine over Columbus day to hopefully see the leaves. DH won a 3 nights stay at a La Quinta and $75 off a car, we are taking his parents with us. I just love Maine, I can taste the lobster already!

Sorry to hear you were laid off, but Cheri had some excellent words for you, I can't say anything any better than she did, so am just saying ditto to that. Remember the glass can be half full or half empty. Maybe this will be a good thing for you in the long run. again probably the gas so am no help there, only one of my incisions bothered me and that was the port one and only a little if I laid on that side. Congrats on your band, each day will get better. I had all my excuses lined up to not go to the gym today, but, you know what? I tossed them aside and went anyway. I went to the 24SET class this is what it says it is, This cardio/strength combination class alternates strength exercises to sculpt every major muscle group with easy to follow step moves. I did skip the cool down though in order to be some place by 11. I did pretty good, it is my second time in this class. The instructor remembered me and my knees and gave me some alternate moves. I even upped my weights a little bit. I am getting very anxious for my Hawaii trip this Friday. Trying to stay focused though and get stuff done here before I go and keep to my gym schedule. LauraK, so the relationship is back on again? be careful, sweetie! Laura, welcome home! Apples, look forward to hearing from you tomorrow and think about you often. Linda, great pics of you at the fair, gosh girl you are thin.
-
Good evening. Busy day, started out by going downtown to a Farmers Market. DH bought some water plants for the pond. Then to the mall, got some new jeans at the Loft, then some other bumming and home. DH then installed a water softner for us and am waiting for it to cycle through and hopefully my water will be much improved. Next he is installing a new toilet in my bathroom. I like the taller height ones with my knees and have been trying to make due with the one the house came with but really missed the extra height. That's my exciting day. Linda, OMG you are so thin! Pics were so cute. Your poor doggy. Melissa, I am trying to talk DH into seeing that movie. He says I should wait til DD visits. LOL
-
Phyl, I am liking my Droid X but there's still a lot I don't know. I dind't know it was possible to sync a Droid to Itunes, if you figure it out let me know! Arlene, we are staying at the Maui Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa, it looks awesome on the website. Can't wait.
-
Arlene, your hair looks less curly too. You look younger. You can see the weight loss too. Yep Brenden won HOH from what I read. Never considered him throwing it either, but how could someone in his physical shape do so bad?? Interesting thought. It will be interesting to see what he's like now that 'she's' not there anymore. I think Enzo has really been throwing competitions, the only one in the so called Brigade doing anything is Matt and the rest just sit back. I bet they turn on one another soon too. Every year I say I am not going to watch that show as it's so dumb, but every summer I do, there's nothing else on. Well, DH actually surprised me, he was home at noon! Nice! We had a 10% off coupon at Home Depot as a moving discount and we went and bought a water softner, he's going to attempt to install himself. He loves challenges like that. I can't believe how awful and hard the water is here, in 2 mos my shower, toilets, sinks etc. are so corrody (is that a word?). I wanted to go see that Eat Pray Love movie but he suggested I wait til DD is here in a few weeks. LOL He also got our room in Maui confirmed for next week. I am super excited, the resort is beautiful and getting a major discount!
