Hello and welcome! I'm being sleeved on the 6th and the anxiety and fears are creeping in for me too. I'm going through the 2 week pre-op diet right now and when I ask myself why I am doing this to myself (a few times especially when I want "real food") I just keep reminding myself that I am doing this to be there longer for my daughter and to grow old with my husband. We can do this!

Yaay! Congrats!

I feel like the month is flying by but I may feel differently once I start my 2 week liquid diet next week.

I'm also struggling with the fears too as my date gets closer. I just keep reminding myself why I am doing this and it sounds like it's the same reason for you too-to live a better life and actually live it and not be held back by our weight. We are so close we can do this

Congrats and welcome! I am getting sleeved on November 6th

My surgery is on November 6th and I will be starting my 2 week pre-op diet on October 22nd. I will also be stopping caffeine on the 22nd too so I know I will be so much fun to be around. When I told my husband this he asked if I could go stay with my mom during that time. I know he was mostly joking

I am still being bad and eating what I want while I can. I just got my shakes that I will begin having when I start my 2 week preop diet next week. I am living it up with the caffeine too because I will stopping that on next week as well.

If everything goes well my surgeon says I should only be in the hospital for one night but I am not sure how to "prepare" my five year old. I want to be extra careful since my father died suddenly over the summer and my daughter, though grieving appropriately, still has some fears of the unknown and I don't want to scare her. I'm thinking maybe having her sleep over my sister's house the night I am in the hospital but I'm not sure. What did you do/are you planning on doing to address your hospital stay with young kids?
