Would I know if my pouch was stretched? I ask the question because I feel as though I am able to eat much more then I should. For example, last night I had two small scopes of mashed patato, half a cup of carrots and 3 onces of shaved roast beef. I have had two fills and now have 5ccs in a 10cc band. No pain, no difficulties, no heart burn . . . I find myself wondering if I am really getting the fills . .or maybe they are missing the port?

Thank-you for posting this. I am 5 months in and started loosing my hair three weeks ago. I am heading to GNC tomorrow!!!!

I understand where you are coming from. I feel tight with almost everything I eat, my problem is that by supper I feel as though I can eat so I eat a good supper then start grazing. This has been only going on for the past week but I must get my act together quickly. It is strange, as the day goes on I feel less restricted.

I lost 50 pounds, then I lost all accountability!!
Tristin replied to TxChelsey's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am stuck at 43 pounds. The last few days I am eating the wrong things, I am eating little little portions but munching in evening which is so wrong. The one good thing is that I am running 3km everyday and walking 5km every second day . .. so every second day I am coving 8 km. If I could only get this munchy thing under control! -
I sometimes get some pain and slimming, I have to walk around with my arms in the air.

I have a 10cc band and I have had 5 fills however I am only at 6.?? something. I eat a cup of cereal for breakfast, about a cup (sometimes a cup 1/2) for lunch, but at supper I can eat more and I really have to stop my self. No one has ever told me I am eating too much . . but I worry that I am.

I was happy to read your post, I have experienced the same feeling. I feel as though I can eat more then I should however if I eat too fast I feel like something is stuck. I also fell tight in the morning and no restriction at night . . . when I need it.

I have a 10cc band with 5.8ccs and I still don't feel that tight. I can eat 1 3/4 small pieces of pizza! Bread is not a problem for me at all. I have been eating well, and I continue to lose but I have to be careful as I could eat every 3 hours. If I eat too fast I might have to burb a bit and I can hear some gurgling and rumbling in my belly . . but other than that nothing. Perhaps I need a little more fill? How much should I be able to eat?

My fear is that I can eat anything and when I read some of these blogs people are only eating 1/2 cup of food, I am eating more then that . . anyway all I can do is keep track of what I am eating and when I feel hungry. I eat supper at 5 pm and I stay up late at night, I find by 10 I am getting hungry again, I need to start going to bed earlier . . .

Well thank-you for replying . . . sometimes it is just nice to know that someone else understands. Now today, I had a poached egg and a piece of body wise multigrain bread (toasted). I was good until lunch, then I had a 1/2 of a toasted turkey sandwich (then I was full) but at 2:00 I had 1/4 of a banana, and 5 crackers, which has kept me until supper . . . I just don't want to over fill, I guess I am just anxious about loosing this weight (who isn't!). By the way congrats on your weight loss!

1st Fill - simple and easy - but I feel no different
Tristin posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, I just had my 1st fill, it was so simple and easy! It only took a few minutes . . . I had 2cc and now I have 4cc. I can't say I feel much different but I am told that it can take up to 2 weeks before I feel a restriction. Is this true . . . -
Am I super lucky or screwing up?
Tristin replied to Skinny2Be's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor and nutritionist gave me the same directions. I am 14 days post op and I feel fantastic, I can eat bread, Pasta, nothing is bothering me at all. My portion sizes are much much much smaller . . . but other than that I feel the same as pre-surgery, just better because I have lost some weight. I was told that recent research has altered the old post - op diet and patients can progress with their eating a faster pace (which explains my post-op diet) however everyone's diet will be different depending on their surgeon, band type, etc. Congrats on your surgery . . . and consider yourself lucky to feel so good, I know I certainly do. Ps. I am eating chicken, fish, and even slow roasted beef. All is well, I am just really cautious about the size of each bit and how well I chew it! -
Moving into solids - any suggestions

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could share their experience of moving into solids. What did you try first, what about bread or pita bread? How about rice? -

How come I feel so stinking hungry?
Tristin replied to mama59's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt the same way but now on mushy stuff I feel a bit better . . . still I am worried I am eating too much. -
How long were you on liquids AFTER surgery?
Tristin replied to pearlygirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi , I was banded on April 17th, I was on full liquids day two, pureed, and mushy starting after one week. I am eating tuna, chicken (like chicken salad) and today I even had roast beef (pureed). I was worried I was eating to much but I am loosing and feeling good. My doctor (in Ontario) mentioned that a recent course they took said that new research focused on a new and improved post op diet. -
Hello everyone, I am new to Lapband Talk. I got banded on Thursday, April 17th, by Dr. Mummford, ON, Canada. I feel great . .

Lost 10lb in 1st week, NOTHING since!
Tristin replied to Gill27UK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Stacey, I feel the same as you, I must say though that just in the last two days I have been able to eat more, my swelling must be going down. Question, how did you get the ticker to show below your replies? -
Hi, I was banded on the 16th . . . and I was counting down the days to mashed and mushy. Today I had tuna (pureed) I think it was the best tuna I ever ate (lol). I still have a bit of gas pain in my left should as well, walking is helping and gasx! Good luck . .

Lost 10lb in 1st week, NOTHING since!
Tristin replied to Gill27UK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello everyone, I lost 10 pounds pre-surgery and then 13 since I was banded on April 17th. I am feeling great, my post surgery diet seems different then everyones . . . the clinic I went to just introduced a new post operate diet, I was on full liquids week one and now I am on pureed . . so I can have canned tuna, eggs, chili, just no chunks, next week I start soft food, chicken, soft veggies etc. Anyway back to weight loss, the last couple of days my scales have stopped moving, my calorie intake is around 750 - 800 but honestly I don't feel like eating more then I already am . .
