I eat more than 3-4oz of foods, my meat is between 4 - 5oz on its own, then i will have dessert spoon of mashed potatoes with mixed vegetables... but way smaller portions than i used to eat before being banded, I consume between 800-900 calories a day I go to the gym 3-5 times a week & swim too

at least your trying, keep a record of what you eat & make sure your meals are varied or it will get boring, just remember what foods make you stay full for longer & try & avoid over doing it on the soft/liquid calories.. good luck & exercise lol

50 lbs down and wearing same pants. Why?
debbie_7155 replied to als74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
try some swimming too, thats really good for all over body weight loss.. maybe your shrinking everywhere & not so much in one place where 50lbs would be more noticabe? dont be disheartened you are doing great, maybe without you knowing, it will all of a sudden go from your body? i used the wii fit game when i came home from hospital, then when i could ijoined a gym & go 3-4 times a week, for a swim too.. good luck -
hi Dean just want to welcome you to the forum, sorry i cant answer your question, hopefully someone can, sorry to hear what you went through, good luck next time

50 lbs down and wearing same pants. Why?
debbie_7155 replied to als74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dont know why your still in the same pants?, all i know is with me, im down 5 dress sizes, my old cothes fall straight to the ground when fastened, ive gone from a size 30 to a 20.. im 5'7 are you doing alot of building muscles exercises?.. has the weight gone off from the top of your body instead of the bottom? so strange, have you shrunk your pants in the wash? it happens? hope you find the answer... good luck -
I drank ordinary coffee al the time, though i only have about 1 a week cos im not keen on coffee

If you put effort into it & eat sensibly & EXERCISE then it should work for you... Remeber its a TOOL & a good one but you have to work with it.. ive not come across anyone yet who has sat on their butt eating doughnuts all day & got to their ideal weight? (someone will prob say they did) Learn about your band & good luck with your weight loss

was your doctor not bothed or he didnt seem concerned because he thinks everything is normal ?, thats what i would be asking him/her so i get to know a professional answer, My port can be a little uncomfortable as it moves about sightly but not kills as you wrote in the title.. IF it kills then i would go back to the doctors & dont leave until you are 100% happy with what it is causing you so much pain good luck

My own friends don't notice???
debbie_7155 replied to Chicky abby's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I too agree you are doing an awesome job & dont let anyone make you feel the way you did last night, to me if they were true friends they would have said something even you look lovely tonight is better than a no comment, Because they know you have had surgery i find it hard to believe they might feel slightly uncomfortable saying something? Anyway you go girl your doing a fab job & enjoy the benefits -

i wait at least an hour after eating even 2 hours, not cos i have to its cos im full/content with foods in my tummy & i dont get a thirst on, & this is coming from someone who could never eat a meal without having a drink with it... Alot of the banding is common sense & learning from your own body what works for you.. I myself would never drink with a meal, but i would never brand a person if they cose to either, its what works for them & makes them happy :crying:
