Hubby took me clothes shopping today, same ole 2 shops & wasnt really happy as they didnt have any wow factor clothes in, so hubby said lets try other clothes sops, i kept saying no they wont fit me theyre for slimmer people, So he grabbed my arm & i took some tops of the rails knowing it would be a waste of time, went to the dressing rooms & omg to my amazement they fitted, my legs went to jelly i had a huge smile on my face & i kept looking at the sizes to make sure i wasnt being fooled & i couldnt believe how small they looked compared to my type of clothes i would normally have to buy... I spent about 2 hours in 2 shops trying on clothes, & knowing i can now go into more than 2 shops for clothes & mix with the slimmer people when buying clothes... The store girls were fantastic towards me, i always thougt they didnt like larger women, thats so not true I have gone from a UK size 30 to a UK size 22-20... woooohooooooo

Hi Belinda, my recovery was great, no gas, pain, just a bit uncomfortable, slept very well at nights, took painkillers for one day & that was for the 2 hour car journey home, was walking about 2 hours after surgery, then slept for 5 hours & then went home, The only thing i hated after 2 weeks was the soups/milk liquid diet... would i do it again? YES.. im starting to lie my life again, Its the little things you notice the difference, like doing things for yourself without asking for help

Anesthesia- Dry heaving or puking?
debbie_7155 replied to wuan2000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
getting wheeled back to my room i was balking my head off cos of the horrible gas mask...i really have a hard time with it, even though i couldnt be sick, thank god your starved to death before the op...It was the best thing i did as it got all my gas up... happened about 3 times...i burped for my country...lol...& i felt fine, didnt suffer with any gas after my op & i asked the surgeon could i have done any damage?, no he replied he said im one of the lucky ones even though i wanted to puke my guts up all i brought up was the surgical gas... :crying: -
I am celebrating today as i have lost 42 lbs in 6 weeks & im still on my post op diet & it wont be for a few weeks yet til i get my first fill... Its been a good few years since i was at this weight & it feels good to start feeling a bit more like a woman than a blob... Im down to about 1 skirt fitting me properly, as my other clothes are TOO big & my shoes are slouching too & my coats can be nearly wrapped around me, but will do for this winter.. I dont have any regrets with the lapbanding..it has saved my life..we are both working together to make this work for me... I cant wait for summer to finally wear nicer clothes...

my breasts have got quite alot smaller & im so glad..i do like my breasts, but i always felt people were talking to them instead of me & it made me feel uncomfortable, so now i can put a sweatshirt on without having 2 mountains in front of me, now theyre 2 hills.... people are diff from where they lose the weight, im lucky as ive noticed its been coming off everywhere on my body so far -
