And I think you need some serious help. If you are doing coke and chasing it with alcohol, you have way bigger problems than can be resolved in a bariatric support group. Maybe check out some rehab centers.

Fat cells are full of glucose. I think I read somewhere that your body will become fat adapted after being in ketosis for awhile. In the meantime, your body will be trying to work with straight glucose from your fat cells. Eventually the glucose from your fat cells will be converted to glycogen. Your body is just in shock mode now but will get it's act together soon.

I just drink regular coffee. Decaf is like drinking nonalcoholic beer. I don't see the point. I was told to go by the pee chart and don't seem to have a problem drinking water throughout the day. Here's the pee chart.

You lost a lot of weight like me before surgery. I think that might also effect the post op losses. ( just a guess)

I had RNY on the same day. I'm doing the same thing. I think I will only weigh once a month. Everybody goes through this.

How often should you go to the bathroom?
Ed_NW replied to Finding-ivy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sometimes I just think about what's normal for me. I can't imagine going a day without taking a load off my mind. -
How often should you go to the bathroom?
Ed_NW replied to Finding-ivy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you're getting your protein in, you should have a BM every day. Not much but something. You might have to take a shot of polyethylene glycol. I was given a prescription before I left the hospital. It gets things moving. -
Worried Sweet-Tooth with question
Ed_NW replied to Robynsquest's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
There's tons of stuff that mascaraed as sweets like chocolate chip cookies that are actually high protein low carb substitutes. Look on Amazon. -
Loose stools and lots of gas in pipes while moving bowels
Ed_NW replied to Coexister's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
At 4 or 5 days you will be getting rid of stuff in your bowels that was there before surgery. Once that's gone, it will turn from rabbit turds to cow pies because protein shakes. -
It’s crazy the vast differences in plans.
Ed_NW replied to Chuck Clasik's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My surgeon has 4 stages two weeks each then regular food unless there is a problem transitioning to the next stage. I told the Nut that I go online and read other people's plans and she didn't care for that too much LOL. I guess that causes people to stray from their own plan. -
I"m a manager at FedEx so I had to at least act like I was concerned about the Christmas peak season. LOL ..6 weeks would be SWEET!

do you tell your weight lost
Ed_NW replied to Xapphirea's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I like to turn it around on them and say "What are you saying, I was fat?" That usually trips them up pretty good. -
Everything went well. The surgeon said my liver was perfect and I went home the day after surgery. I went back to work a week after surgery and everything seems to be progressing along nicely. I hope all is well with your recovery.

This gas they filled me with is crazy! I'm a week PO and every day I feel like I'm eating a huge bowl of beans and paying the price. I think maybe it has tapered off but then BAM! it's back with a vengeance. I might have to get the gas-x but I've been told that it just has to work it's way out. Is that right?

Lap band January 2019 surgery date
Ed_NW replied to Linda.fultz@adm.com's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My surgeon said he doesn't do lap-bands. He does however spend a lot of time repairing the damage caused by them. There's a lot more money to be made nowadays in the removal of lap-bands than the placement. -
Iv'e been thinking about egg drop soup. I'm going to try some. Thanks!

Ed_NW replied to Anita watson's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had surgery on the same day. I started drinking Powerade Zero and that stopped for me. Good luck. -
Very inspiring, good work!

I had the same concerns then the next thing I knew it was a done deal. Good luck tomorrow. Let the journey begin!

8 days PO... Tomato soup is awesome but not according to my new gut. I can't keep it in. Everyone is different. Just try them all until you find what works.

That's interesting. Did you eat the recommended protein and take the vitamins? -

I finish what I start, does that count?

I would confront them. Tell them to talk to your face, not behind your back. Tell them what your new diet consists of if they want to hear. High protein low carb and moderate exercise under a doctors supervision. Most of the time they won't want to hear your story, they just wanted to gossip.
