Thanks so much for the words of advice! Fortunately, I do not have sleep apnea. I had a sleep study in 2008 and everything came back okay. I do not want to gain anymore weight. Maybe I'll just wait for some kind of change in Tricare's policy. Thanks again! :thumbup: -
Hello! Here we go again! Looks like I'd have to gain 22 lbs in order for insurance to pay for surgery. Spoke with the doc and he doesn't think it's a good idea to gain the weight. My other option is to self-pay and it's about $12K. Not sure on what I can do?? Not even sure Tricare would cover the fills and office visits. I'm so frustrated and angry! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!! BB

Hi! New here and had a question. I'm trying to have Tricare pay for my surgery but I'd have to gain about 22lbs. Looks like I might have to self pay. Were you able to get Tricare pay for your fills and office visits? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello! My efforts in getting banded in 2008 failed. I was denied by Tricare because I wasn't 100lbs over and had no co-morbidities. I know have high blood pressure and hopefully my insurance will approve. I'm waiting for referral and will see doc soon. Wish me luck! Good luck to all! BB

Hi! How's it going? It's been a long time. Looks like you got approved. I never appealed but now I'm going to try again and see if I get approved. Unfortunately I'm still not 100lbs over but now have high blood pressure. You look GREAT! Wish me luck!

Hi, Sweets! How ya doing? Life is good here! Just been super busy after the holidays. I was in OK for two weeks with my hubby's family. My step-son graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. We are sooo proud! I gained a pound back from the 14 I've lost. I need to get back into the swing of things. But I will. It's a hard road but one that I want to take. Well, just wanted to stop by and say hello! Miss ya!

Hi All! Tricare denied me the first time and I appealed. I just went on to Triwest and saw that I wasn't approved again. Bummer! Really saddens me and it's horrible that I have to gain more weight just to get approved. I want to wish everyone the BEST OF LUCK through their WLS! I'll just have to figure out what I can do next. It's time to do something and I'm going to do it. How's your home? Hubby and I installed some new vanity lights in the bathrooms. The one's that came with the house weren't so great. Hi! How ya doing? I'm doing okay. I have bad news. I was denied once again. I didn't meet the weight reqirement and I'd have to gain almost 35 lbs to probably be considered. It's okay. I went ahead and started Jenny Craig and I've lost 5 lbs this week. I'll keep in touch to see how your WLS is going. Take care! Have a great weekend!

Hello! How's it going? I'm soooo bummed out! Tricare denied my appeal. I guess it's not in the cards for me. I'll have to figure something else out. Have you had another fill? I was so hoping it would have come through. No luck! Anyhooo! Just wanted to wish you a Happy Day!

CONGRATS! How exciting?! I still haven't heard anything from my appeal. It still shows Pending Review. I'm getting so anxious. I get bummed out at times but I guess I have to be patient. Best of luck on your journey!
