    Hey JUDE048!

What happens if you DO eat your 'goal' calories? Are you really not hungry enough to eat more than what you are eating? If so, man... I don't know. Also, stop weighing everyday! I SOMEtimes do, but I never ever 'count' it. I weighed in at 243.4 on Wed, 242.6 yesterday, and today I was 244! SO... I'm sticking with my Wed weight, which is when I'm supposed to weigh in, and ignoring all the others. I gotta stop leaving my scale within eyesight!

    Canadian Challange

Loriely, I believe it would be 6 weeks. You would want to make sure your incisions are healed up though, wouldn't want any buggies getting in there. :omg:

    Canadian Challange

I'm up for a Aug, Sept, Oct thing. Yoda, what about a small bag of Ringolo's or cheezies every 2 weeks or once a month, or something? Make Mr. Yoda the boss of that... that he has to bring you home a bag on a certain day. ? Ok, so what we're saying here isn't official, there'll be an official "Canadian Fall Challenge" thread ? Make sure you say Canadian! I'm gonna think hard today and this weekend about what my goals should be. How about we have until monday to give 'em to you? And again... people CAN join after then. AND... even if you're not banded yet, you should still join!

*while twiddling fingers together* (like Mr. Burns) Ooooooh Cloe, what are we gonna do while Yoda's away?

Yeaaaah.... I don't really like doing anything. :heh: Do you think walking 3 kms a day would be good?

    Canadian Challange

Yoda: no no... I guess it's depending on how long of a challenge. I was thinking 20lbs in 3 months! Cloe: I am sooo not a runner. I'm pretty sure you'd win. How about we make it a fall challenge? Since it's almost fall... it could be a 3 month thing. Then we could have a new one for winter? Anyone can join mid-way or whatever. What do you think? Or would you guys prefer a one month thing? Irishmist: I'm with you. Exercise sucks!! Maybe someday I'll start enjoying it.

    Buffalo Bound this weekend!

I actually called it Opti-hell. I sold my leftovers to a gal from calgary, and she was scared to try it from my 'reviews', but ended up liking it! I think the yogurt/cottage cheese thing would probably not be so bad for a couple days, but end up being just as tedious. I don't like yogurt though.

    In theory this should work...

Ok, I lied. I was in the process of eating it while I typed my post... couldn't quite finish it. But I usually can. Anyways, yup, still down!

    In theory this should work...

Damn rights! lol I'm not feeling guilty, I'm just saying, I'm one of those laughable people who can eat a 6" sub.

I just ate a 6" sub from a sandwich place. :think

    Canadian Challange

uggg... excercise... I'm planning on walking to and from work, as soon as I start. Is that good? How about I WALK to Tim Horton's for my coffee and donut in the morning?? LOL Just kidding, I'm not doing that anymore! How about we set our own things to challenge ourselves with, and report on how we've done, whenever we're supposed to... ex: CLOE wants to run 6 miles a day and eat 70 grams of Protein a day. argon wants to lose 20 pounds and drink all her water! Yoda want to sexercise 4 times a day. kimmason wants to stop fantasizing about Brad Pitt. etc, etc We could start a new thread, list everyones goals in the first post, and everyone has to post how they're doing once a week (or even everyday, if they want).

LOL Kim! The move couldn't have come at a worse time. I've got my period, and I'm not up to havin' drrrty (LOL) sex, so... we've got a little bit of a wait before we can christen the new place! We actually bought this weird table (picture to follow soon) last night, and were putting it together for like 3 hours, when a couple friends of ours from upstairs knocked on the door... I was running around whisper/yelling "Someone's at the door!!!" to Dan while I looked for some clothes (it was so hot, I was doing my assembling in underwear and a tanktop!) Anyways, Dan finally answered the door, and then I followed behind him. We were both all sweaty, and these guys sheepishly say "What werrrre you doing?" We say we were putting together a table, and they can't come in to see it until we're done.. I don't think they bought it! haha

(oh yeah! I just realized why I cared so much to get to a 40lb loss!! It means I can now say I only have 100lbs more to lose. WOO! That is, assuming that 140 is "ok" on me. I might be happy at 170... who knows. Not me! Cause I ain't been 170 since... hmm... some age when I should NOT have weighed 170!)

    Argon's Activities

LOL, Buffie! Nope, I'm doin' my damnest not to! So guys, I'm BACK! After I posted that we'd get to start moving stuff in, I spent that day moving all our crap by myself, and then that night, we decided to just stay here at the apartment, a day earlier than planned. So, no internet TIL NOW! Ohh... the boredom! I weighed myself this morning, and: ******DRUMROLL****** 243.4 !! WOOO!! I had a 0.6 gain last week, so this is good, AND, it now puts me at 40.6 pounds lost (total). I can honestly say I've never lost this much at one time.. or in one 'try', I guess. My only big loss was about 32 lbs a few years ago with Atkins. It's been 17 weeks since surgery, and I've lost 25.6 lbs since then. It's an average of 1.5 lbs a week, so when I look at that, THAT's pretty good, considering we're supposed to lose 1-2lbs a week. So, I shouldn't complain. It'd be even better without all the little gains here and there, and the complete stall for a few weeks. Now that I've got the 'net again, and a phone # of my own, I'm getting on that Dr's ass about giving me a fill. Cause I WANT one!! I neeeeeed one. So anyways.... WHOOP!!! WHOOP!!! (imagine me making that sound!) I shall be replying to all the new posts and stuff soon... but first I gotta get my stinky self into the shower. I also wanna say that I just love you guys. I really do think of you as friends, especially now that I'm somewhere where I don't really have any one to talk to and tell these stupid little things, I like to be able to tell you guys and have you a least fake ( :bowl: ) excitement with me! Thank you. :tea:

    Argon's Activities

Good news! We weren't supposed to be moving in until tomorrow, but we wanted to call this morning, and make sure things were all ready for us TO move in tomorrow... and anyways, they are ready, and we CAN move in today (in a couple hours). Since I have nothing better to do, I'll spend today moving in what I can. (meaning I'll leave the heavy stuff until Dan (the BF) is home from work. I love having a big strong significant other! lol) Thank goodness that it's on the main floor... cause if I had to lug boxes up stairs... I just wouldn't! Oh... btw, we spent Sat. morning hunting for garage sales, and after about 20, all we had was a small bookcase ($3), some glass beer mugs (.25$ each) and a garbage can! I laugh when I say we bought a garbage can... a USED garbage can, cause it's funny to me. But it's a damn nice garbage can. A Rubbermaid, and looks brand new. For only $1 ! Gotta have saved at least $14 there! And you guys should see the awesome dishes I bought at Canadian Tire last week. A bunch of Debbie Travis stuff was on clearance. I had planned on just buying some super cheap picnic-type plastic plates, that wouldn't be a big deal to throw away when I move again... but I couldn't find any for less than $2 each. Then I stumbled across these ones at CdnTire. Everything was regular $3-5 each, and I got them from $0.93-$1.43 each! I HAD to get 6 of each. So... 18 pieces, for a little over $20. I'm pretty happy! This, is actually the first time we've lived together, JUST US. When we first started dating, I lived in my own place, he lived with a roommate... but was at my place most of the time. Then I moved out of my apartment, and in with him and his roommate. Then him and I moved into my parents basement suite (yikes!)... and now, we're sharing a bedroom in a house with a kabillion other people. So this will be the first time we truly won't have anyone to potentially disturb us. Well... we do have friends in the building who could show up at anytime, but at least our door will be locked. So yeah, just had to share my excitement with someone else! EEEEEEeeeeee!!!

    Jann Arden

I was just reading a little about her... couldn't find anything recent, so I don't know if she's lost weight, but here's what she said (apparently she does a Ask Jann column in Elle Canada) in response to a girl who said "I know you're struggling with your weight... don't you ever feel like... blah blah": To tell you the truth, I've never had problems with my weight. It's the press who seem to have the problem. I'm always happy just to be alive. I look after myself. I'm active and I'm always trying to be better than what I was the day before. Don't worry about losing weight. You need to get walking, but do it for your mind and your soul. Life isn't about how much you weigh, but how good you feel about yourself. Don't beat yourself up and don't compare yourself with anyone else. Be gentle with your soul and gentle with your heart. Remember, a healthy body is a perfect body. I've always liked her too.

    Skeletons still there

Wooooo ! Cloe! I was thinking maybe you had got a feel of your collar bone or something, like I was so excited about before... and realized "Hey, my skeleton IS still in there!!" LOL Good for you that you weren't able to eat more than the burger. I find myself ordering more than I can eat too, and get a little sad when I can't eat as much as I want to! :pout:

    colon cleanse?

Hi Rosa, what do you mean we might be neighbors? I'll admit, I did cheat a bit during my Optifast. The optifast isn't to torture you, he (if you are having Dr Cobourn too) wants you to lose a little weight before surgery, so that your liver shrinks a little, and is easier to work around. Do your best... I'm sure you'll lose some weight. Surgery on Tuesday? How much have you lost so far? Did you cheat for FULL days, or did you just eat something you shouldn't have once, a couple different days? Either way, don't worry about it. Just remember, you're doing this for yourself, and After surgery, it won't be nearly as hard. Anyways, if you're from Canada, which I guess you must be... come say hi to us in the Canada area of the board! Click here: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=76 Mandi
