(in case anyone wants to know, he will indeed be away from the office from for sure the 14th to the 18th) Thanks for nothin' :huggie: :huggie:

Well, once again, it's a no. I couldn't talk to him, cause I was told that he doesn't talk to patients on the phone, and usually they go through his nurse/secretary, and she relays the message to him. So I said "Could I plead my case to you then?" and I did. I told her, I didn't want him to 'take over my case, per se", all I wanted was fills... he doesn't have to have anything else to do with me, otherwise.... that how they told me "I should continue having my Dr. in ON follow me", I said that he wasn't following me now. I said that I went into this knowing that I had to secure someone for fills closer to home (Calgary), and that's what I had done. That I was just out of school, had moved across the country, and could not afford the cost of flying to Toronto for something that will take 15 minutes, at the most (haha, I hope). She said that that's what they expect of their patients, if they move somewhere else, such as Alberta. I said "You would want them to fly back to NB for a fill?" and she said "Yes, unless a dr. in Alberta would take over their case." AHHHH! Well, I hope for those patients sake, that wherever they move, they'll find someone to do it for THEM. (and I know for a fact they would, cause this seems to be the only place in canada that I could have moved that has made it nearly impossible for me to get the followup I need... anywhere else, I could have been at least within a 8 hour drive of somewhere to get a fill) I asked what they would expect me to do then, cause I have no other options. She said that they do bariatric surgery in NS, and maybe I could try there. I asked for the name of the Dr I should look for... she didn't know. Hospital name, maybe? Nope, didn't know that either. So, I'm looking for someone in NS who might do fills. I'm pretty sure they don't do the lapband in NS anyways, so the chance that I'll find a dr. there (even if they do do the RNY or something) that can do fills is unlikely. She said that they were so busy with 'their own patients' that there's no time to take on anymore, because there's people who are waiting years for this, and I would be taking away from them. Which I totally get... BUT, it just seems so unfair. If they were just better equipped to handle the more and more patients.... but I guess that's the state everywhere in Canada. I asked, "Well, isn't there just nurses who can do the fills, and not have Dr. B. do it?" and she said no, that it was always him, and a nurse that do the fills. "Any time in the future that this might change, and you'll be able to take 'new' patients?" ... "No" So many other things I wanted to say, but I was on the verge of tears, and I could hear my voice shaking. It just seemed that there was nothing I could say that would matter. I did email the NS lady who does her own fills... but no reply still. :pout:

He broke the needle?! What?! Wow... that sounds like hell. Hopefully you won't get him again! Take care, Mandi -
Mine's in the middle. Well... more middle than to the side. It's a few inches left and a few inches up from my belly button.

I'm in the process of trying to get my laundry done right now. I'm living in a 4 floor apartment, that has a laundry room on each floor, with one dryer and one washer. That's pretty good, I think, cause the last place I lived had one laundry room for 4 floors with only 2 washers & 2 dryers. My problem is people who don't keep track of how long a load of laundry takes to wash, and how long it takes in the dryer. Right now I'm waiting for some dude to take his stuff out of the dryer, so I can start drying my 2 loads I've washed while he dries his one load. I KNOW that it takes about 25 minutes to wash, and maybe 50 to dry, so as soon as 25 minutes rolls around, I'm in there, taking my clothes out of the washer, and piling them on top of the dryer. I had to wait about an hour for this guy to wash his clothes, and get them outta the damn washing machine. Usually, if I'm in a huge hurry, and someones stuff is done washing or drying, I will take their clothes out, and put them on top of the dryer. I don't like doing this, cause I don't like the thought of someone else manhandling my underwear, so I don't think other people might either. I also worry that they're gonna catch me taking their stuff out! So, if you're someone in an apartment, and are in the same situation as me, please pay attention to how long stuff takes to wash and dry, and get your stuff out of the washer and/or dryer when it's done!!! (or it's gonna end up in a pile on top!) ok, I'm done. p.s. had to run and check if his stuff was out of the dryer while typing this, and it still wasn't (it's been done drying for at least 20 minutes) ... so I took it out! And I DIDN'T fold it! HA!

Not at all... I totally feel that. I think that's had alot to do with why I've continued to gain... past experiences, and trying to make myself less desirable. Also... I feel like the bigger you are, the harder you'd be to 'attack'... I think I would feel WAAY more vulnerable and scared of things (walking at night) and getting hurt if I were skinny. And yeah the way *I* think, is that at least if someone likes me, I must be a nice person... cause that's all I've got, right? :| I don't expect people to 'look' at me they way they do other girls... and I think it would (will?) be scary to eventually be 'checked out' by guys. I've never been that girl, and it'll be verrry weird. In a way, I'm happy that I'm with someone now, who knows my before. Anyone I met after I lost all my weight, I would always think that they would have never considered me before... that I wouldn't have been good enough for them before. I could never ever be with someone who'd say something like "Yuck... look at that" about a passing overweight person. Anyways, no, you don't sound mad!

Ahh... if I was pullin' out the old Dr. Phil, I'd pull my chair right up to yours, look you in the eye, and tell you what I really think! *BAM!* LOL :scared:

Group hug, guys??!! :scared: Awwwwwww..........

I'm trying to think of what it was for us.... Cloe'll probably remember better than me. I think only the 1st day after surgery was clear fluids.. then 2 weeks after that for full fluids... and the pureed for 2 weeks. Is that right Clo-bot? You won't hate clearfluids or full fluids nearly as much as you hate right now. You'll probably find it easier, and soooo nice to have some selection!

I imagine that *we* know your name here, right... just say your name is Kim M. I think they just want to know that you're a real person, and not someone who's joining to cause trouble, or sell things. Don't worry.
-
How long do you guys at TLBC do clear fluids for?
-
Yeah... I think this is a good place for everyone. It's nice to have somewhere else as a standby, but this message board has become my new home :scared: LOL

LOL Yoda... I WAS up late last night... but, I didn't think I was on here! I was thinking you must have some spy peeking in my bedroom window or something. :omg: I still have some time to get myself back in the going to bed kinda early, waking up early thing. 99% of the time during the week, I'm up at 7:30... even though I could sleep in til noon. I have a weird thing, that if I sleep toooo long, my back starts to hurt. It sucks. Yeah... I looove everything. I'm craving enchiladas RIGHT now. And ya know what? I've got all the stuff, and I'm gonna make 'em... in a few days, when my left over lasagna is all gone. Lately, for some reason I've been wanting cheetos. I wish I was either just a sweet addict or a salty addict, but I could easily eat a bag of chips, and chase it with a chocolate bar.... mmmmm... ok ok, enough of that.
-
Kim, I just thought I shouldn't give out a person's name on here, who isn't even a member here... you know, just in case she should join someday, just to find out that we all know who she is! I'd be kinda freaked out, if everyone already knew about me here before I'd joined... PMing you!
-
or maybe that BBQ was TOO good, and she skipped town?
-
PM's Cloe, PM's!!
-
Oh, no... Irishmist, I didn't PM you. Didn't wanna bother typing out another message just to have it (probably) not go through. I just wanted to tell you that you should be getting an invite from them. Anything yet? And Cloe... BOOOO!!!! WhatEVER! LOL It's ok. I feel your pain... it's very irritating to learn. I'll just maybe harass you guys with "guess what so and so said" posts every now and then!
