I knooooow, I know. I'm worried about that all myself as well. I reeeeeally can't do that though. I'm just going to take it as easy on myself as I can, cross my fingers, and hope for the best. Don't you worry about me, I'll be ok!

Yeah, Cloe... what is it? Is tea giving you heartburn? Maybe there was a huge discussion about heartburn recently that we missed (here in our own little world)... and that's why no one's sayin' much?
-
That almost DOES sound good! Probably much more appealing if I were only able to eat yogurt and cottage cheese, though

Thank you Nope, I've never been to Ottawa, but I'd like to! I have some Lipton Chicken Noodle in my cupboard... and now you've got me craving it! The aloe vera juice is supposed to soothe irritated stomachs.... I guess. I got mine at Walmart... I think it was about $7-9 for a bottle. Sooooo... I went to the doctor today, cause I felt the chest cough coming on , and it felt much like my last bout of brochitis. I didn't want to wait til I was coughing my guts out every night, and can't afford to feel so crappy at work. He did some listening, and throat looking, took my temperature, and gave me a prescription for some antibiotics and codeine cough syrup. Never confirmed that it was bronchitis, and rushed me out of there, but that's ok... I just hope it kicks in and starts doing the trick soon. I'm weighing in tomorrow morning. Eeeek! Talk to you guys later! Mandi

Are you wondering if tea will give you heartburn also, or just curious if anyone else gets it? Neither coffee or tea give me heartburn, thank GAWD! Coffee is one of my last left pleasures! :bump:

btw, AZA, who are you getting banded by? Where do you live? Tell us stuff!
-
Welcome to Canada! :heh:

LOL, ok... I'm stayin' out of the whole asian penis thing! I'm in HELL! 1) band's too tight, in general, as you already know 2) period 3) a cold! I'm thinking perhaps the combination of the last 2 problems are making the first one worse. Today... hmm... what did I eat? tea, coffee, a chunk of cheese, half a banana, a bowl of popcorn... and that's it so far. I'm trying to take it easy, cause the last truly 'solid' things I ate made me PB (I guess, but I still don't know if it's PBing)... and I'm trying to 'rest' ma belly. I have been drinking my aloe vera juice off and on. *someone* led me to believe it was awwwwful. Maybe that someone got a bad batch or something, cause it isn't bad. I was expecting it to be thick, but its almost watery, so I add it to a little water, and it just tastes like weird water. 2 more days until my weigh in ... better be good. But then again, problem #2 may make it not so good... we'll see. Dan's leavin' me early Wed morning... to go to Ottawa for the animation festival. WOO! LOL talk to you kids later!

Yeah, that's crazy... I can't imagine anyone doing things like that. What a spectacle we'd be, being so much bigger that that.
-
Well... I think they'll pretty much chose that for you! Since you DO live so far away though, they probably will be fairly conservative. Glad you had a good time at the wedding! And awesome that you only could eat 1/4 of each course! Did any of the people you ate with know that you'd been banded? Did any one seem to notice you weren't eating much?

Thanks guys Moncton was ok. I searched and searched for some size 20 pants at Old Navy, to try on, and coudn't even find any! SOooooo... I grabbed a sweater and 2 shirts for underneath, and they fit *ok*, but I'm not quite ready to wear them in public yet. Besides, I need some nice® pants to wear it with. Not my gross (now) baggy assed jeans. I DID, however, go looking for some 'workout' pants today, since I'm getting closer to my decision to join the gym. I couldn't justify spending $40 on sweatpants, especially when hopefully they wont last me long.... so I left empty handed. I tried on some jeans before I left though... size 20. And they fit. I'm not about to start buying more jeans yet. I bought a couple 22's a couple months ago. One of them are constantly falling off of me, and the other is just ok. I also bought some 'gym shoes'! From Walmart. They're Dr. Scholl's. Not the nicest things, but whatever. I'm not gonna be there to impress anyone! Went to see "Little Miss Sunshine" last night. I highly recommend it! It was sooooo good! Anyways... have a good rest of the weekend guys. Mandi

Me too, I'm tryin' the baba ghanoush! I'll check next time I'm at the store. Would it be ok with some kind of crackers, perhaps? BTW, I went to Costco when I was in Moncton and got my antipasto!! WOOO! I just need some Breton crackers to eat it with.

LOL, yes I do!

I've come to the realization that food is becoming less and less important to me. I was thinking today about going home for Christmas, and how we've been doing a cheese fondue the last few years, on Christmas Eve... and how we should do that again. Then I though "Ehhh... what a waste (of food, and time)". I'd normally be able to polish of 99% of what we 'assembled' for the fondue... but now, I'd have a few pieces of bread, of mushroom, or whatever, and I'd be done. You guys would not believe how long I've had a container of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia in my freezer. At LEAST a week! I don't fantasize about going out for a big fat steak, caesar salad, baked potato and those yummy buns from the Keg. It's gonna be one of those things, and I'll be lucky if I ever eat ALL of whatever I do get. When I order something, I look for what might be the smallest thing on the menu. .. or what will reheat ok the next day. Things don't taste as good anymore. I don't remember the last thing I ate that I REALLY enjoyed. Maybe that's good. I guess I shouldn't associate food with making me happy, or feel good, right? I eat it cause I'm hungry. It's almost more of a hassle eating and chewing than it's worth! Don't get me wrong, there's stuff I like... but it's not my main focus all the time, like it used to be. These are probably the craziest words I've ever 'spoken'. I'm an eater... or I used to be. I could eat, and eat, and eat. I could eat more than my dad, more than my boyfriend. And today, I barely ate 1/2 of my 6" sub. ME!? It's still baffling me. There would be deals on 3 foot long subs, so I'd get one for my mom for lunch, and one for me... then eat half of the 3rd one, and save the rest for later. Anyways, just saying this for myself, so I can look back someday and remember how long it took me to figure this out.... or how quickly I figured it out. But, I'm by no means "saved".

Yeehaw! How long are you staying in TO for?
